  1. Hi Guys, I wanted to share my experience with getting primary DES / ptosis / epi surgery with Dr. Seo Il Bum at Marble Plastic Surgery, in May 2019. I'm from Canada, and flew into Seoul to do all my consultations in person. Consultation I consulted with Dr. Seo because he is the director of the clinic, and I guess it made me feel more confident. He seemed really professional and recommended incisional DES / ptosis / epi, which was the standard recommendation I was getting across all my consultations (also went to FromB and BeautyForever). The clinic overall was really nice and there were a handful number of staff on site to assist. Marbles was about 600,000 KRW more expensive than FromB and BeautyForever, its more expensive at Marble when you go with Dr.Seo who is the director and board certified. Surgery Made payment, took picture, met with doctor for final consultation. He drew on my eye lid and went over the risks of surgery with me in detail. Dr.Seo said he cannot remove my Mongolian fold completely because I have a very heavy fold and doing so could result in noticeable surgical scar. I appreciated the conservatism because I heard a lot about epi cars and they are hard to revise if cut too deep :( The operating room looked like the OR at the big hospitals with all the bright lights, here I was expecting a dentist chair. They tied my hands down (to avoid accidental moving during surgery) and once the doctor came in, I was out with sleep sedation. The high was real guys, totally recommend lol. I was woken up in the middle to open and close my eyes, and they did adjustments accordingly. Could smell my fats burning and there was minor pain, which I expected because the doctor had said that some muscle parts cannot be sedated. The interpreter was also in there with me the whole time to translate, but one of the nurses spoke good English too. When it’s all done, the nurses helped me into a recovery room with nice sofa chairs to rest. I had an ice pack over my face and IV injection for vitamins. The interpreter sat beside me for the entire time (about 40min) to talk and see if there’s anything I needed. When I was ready to go, she walked me downstairs to buy medication and offered to call me a taxi. Such a nice girl. Post OP -2 days post op: went into the clinic for stitch cleaning, and red laser to help with the swelling -7 days post op: stitch removal. Bit painful...I teared up -Recovery: The recovery process was fine and tolerable. For the first three days I couldn’t really open my eyes fully, and then after a few more days it felt really tight and there is always pressure. They were also really dry for two weeks, cannot read my kindle for more than few minutes. In the end My times at Marble were enjoyable because everything was so organized and I felt really taken care of. I never thought I be the type to need hand holding but when it really comes to surgery time it was just so nice to have the interpreter girl beside me. As you can see from my progress picture, my eyelids looked even during the swelling period, but now there is an uneven look. Seems like the left eye fold has always been shorter than the right eye. So I have mixed feelings about this Marble journey, it’s uneven but still look much better than my original eyes. No issues like unable to close eyes, visible scar, etc. Perhaps 6/10 stars.
  2. Wow thank you so much for the ENT clinics!! I have rhinitis and have been debating on getting rhino, and doesn't want to do anything to make my condition worse. Who knows there are doctors to fix both at once!
