  1. I would like to add in that grafts of ear/rib cartilage can sometimes be absorbed into the body and leave an uneven shape, or drooping etc. Some members here have had severe absorption issues where they had to get a revision rhino because of that. Additionally, at times there can be rejection issues if the graft isn't from your own body. Just some things to keep in mind along your guys' research! Best of luck!

  2. How awful....! I am hoping that your future procedure(s) can be covered for you since they are for medical purposes. Hang in there ♥

  3. So sorry to hear about that. As for this wacko surgeon, I remember reading about this on your Realself! It blew my mind that he was yelling at you on the phone and then had the guts to tell you you'd eventually be so happy that you should instead pay him double what you already paid. Like is he just going to ignore all of your tightness, headaches, muscle tension pains, mental trauma and more? He's got some screws loose upstairs. And yes, absolutely! Definitely the right doctor can help you out.

  4. So scary! If anything, I hope he feels some public shame for at least the suspension  How disgusting.

I will keep you in my thoughts! Thank you so much for getting your story out there. I know it can be super hard. When my scar (now removed) was healing very poorly after a surgery, I was so hesitant on posting about it for multiple reasons, and that was just a small scar. I'm happy that word is getting out about this clinic. I've learned so much about it already!

I hope you're able to gain back to your normal weight soon and feel a little at ease as your future surgery becomes more clear. I hope the sleep study can show something to where this clinic can possibly be sued!

  5. I just want to let you know that I'm so proud of you for persevering all that you have so far! I've read all your posts on Realself and am absolutely amazed at your strength. I'm certain you'll reach your goals with enough determination. I am beyond saddened that Dr. Oh went directly against your wishes and what you had discussed. Such a shame this disgusting surgeon was ever able to practise in the first place. Thank goodness he is now currently stripped of his license to perform any more procedures. I hope you get your refund in the end. Everyone can see openly see how selfish and careless Regen is. I've seen countless posts about this clinic now, full of photos and endless commentary from very distressed patients. The least that Regen can do is refund the people whose lives they have severely interrupted. I'm wishing you the very best. I myself have dealt with incredibly selfish staff before. Take care and keep us posted! ♡

  6. Not to be negative, but it hasn't even been a full year since your surgery. Sagging generally takes multiple years.

  7. It’s great that your asking! This is how excellent experiences are gained  Also it’s fine to post here despite differing ethnicities, wherever is resourceful is good, really. So, for precision’s sake, I wouldn’t recommend the surgeries together as swelling is immediate and details can be missed with a rhino on top of a swollen upper jaw (or jaw surgery on top of mega swollen nasal area). On top of that, these are both major invasive surgeries and the swelling would be grotesque for a very long time. I have experienced depression myself, looking in the mirror and all especially after my rhino when I looked crazy and wasn’t happy at all, so I do warn against even more temporary but long term depression if there’s 2x the amount of wackiness going on after 2 procedures together. Since a nose change would break you down more at this point like you said, I think it’s even better to leave it be and deal with another area until you’re more balanced out. A big change like a change in jaw structure + a changed nose too on top of that right away would be a lot for anyone to take in, really.

I also elaborated on another thread about how the features can end up not complimenting each other if done at once: https://beautyhacker.com/forums/topic/1024719-please-share-any-advice-about-zygoma-reduction/page-2#post-33728870

Further, there are tons of similar threads about this here that I think would be really insightful for you to check out with all the varied responses

Also, imo you found an excellent jaw doc and I don’t think you should sacrifice that just for the sake of dealing with recovery all at once. Recovery is temporary, but surgery carries permanence.

Overall, I’m not saying that multiple surgeries together don’t work out, because they definitely do at times and it’s great! But it’s also a lot riskier. Also, the reason why noses are upturned for a long time is because the rhino surgeons purposely stitch up the nose a few mm above where a normal nose is, because all noses eventually drop after rhino and so they have to switch higher for it to end up at a normal spot. Since yours is still upturned, the surgeon went a little too far with that, clearly. Just really point out for your next rhino how you don’t want to increase any upturn angle at all (on top of whatever else you want, of course). I can link you a video of a surgeon explaining and showing how and why noses are upturned during surgery (but it’s graphic).

Best of luck! I’m not *against* doing multiple surgeries at once (and I’m sure you’ll find responses of people actually preferring that) but I just warn against some risks. Do lots of research and read up until you feel confident in whichever direction you decide to go. Sending you love!

  8. I had rhino in the past (no other procedure was done the same day) and damn, my face was fuuuuuucked up for months. I can't imagine if I had lots more procedures on top of that at the same time. I also want to point out that an alteration of any feature can totally change the entire appearance (I look pretty different with just the rhino - luckily, it turned out very well) so I think one at a time would be better. For example, if someone with a wide nose gets a petite nose, it may impact how the rest of their features look. Perhaps with a small nose their eyes now really show and shine and an eye procedure isn't necessary anymore, etc. My own example: my small nose now makes my lips look very full, and so I would never get filler there. Before the rhino, my nose overshadowed my lips and they weren't noticeable at all. If I had gotten both procedures at once, well, would have been a yikes as a combined result. Hope this can help a bit. Good luck!

  9. Just real quick - I also don't believe any surgery is necessary here or really needed. You already look amazing. Your face is healthy-looking and full, a beautiful sign of youth. Of course, you are free to do as you see fit, but just a kind warning that cosmetic surgeries are generally best for big changes, and as they are pretty risky, they are often not really worth it a lot of the time when it comes to wanting a small improvement or something nit-picky. You're seriously stunning, and I don't easily think these things lol. If anything, yes perhaps your chin is weak, but imo, it aligns perfectly with your other soft features. Best of luck and whatever you do, please think lots and lots before any decisions, though I am sure you will! Take care!

  10. Yesss! This "method" has helped me out so much over the years. A+

  11. Best of luck to you  If you want, I can (or show you how to) make a morph of you with the nose you want. That way, it's more clear what your vision is compared to the doctors, and the process wouldn't just rely on a wish pic of someone random. Take care!

  12. My parents could care less, like they're happy if I'm happy and it's not like I did something extreme that I'm not recognizable anymore or something like that. My parents have always been extremely strict, but I'm happy that they are open minded when it comes to these things. My nose bothered me severely for most of my life and it was such a pretty outcome afterwards, they were so happy for me! My siblings are just as happy for me. They're so pleased, they joke about getting it done themselves :amuse:

That being that, even if nobody approved, I was so unhappy with myself back then that I know I would have ended up sneaking around and doing it behind their backs anyways. I always dreamed of a time where I wouldn't have to feel like how I did in those days.

  13. Very informative, thank you for sharing!

  14. Please do question it a LOT, and I mean that with love. I’ve seen so many horror story style reviews with photo and videos about sagging after fc, doctors warning against it like on RealSelf, as well as countless threads on here about it having gone wrong like deep premature sagging showing up years later. I’m not saying don’t do it, as it’s your body and I’m sure you’re putting a lot of research into it all. Just really take your time with this until you’re fully satisfied with your choice - wishing you the best

  15. Ahh, my heart hurt reading this
For me, I am happy with my looks but before surgery, I was very unhappy and I can understand. After my rhino, I was left with an uneven scar that I didn't fix for 3 years later as I had come to believe there was no hope and that would be as good as it would ever get with me. Thank goodness it worked out very well BUT, I will never be completely 100% happy with my looks, it's just who I am. I'm a perfectionist by nature and even though I know I am "conventionally" beautiful and get all the compliments and free drinks from creeps, I know I'll most likely die still feeling this way. Some days I don't even want to look in the mirror. You know, like, oh I wish I didn't have this little scar on my forehead, I wish I didn't have this dimple on my cheek, I wish my ears had a more cute shape to them, I wish I didn't have this height, I wish my fingers didn't look weak, I wish I didn't have this massive scar over my rib from childhood surgery - the list goes on forever. You can bet if people had the option to magically mold their features into whatever, like with a computerized selection, that pretty much everyone would look quite different. It is what it is. I have friends who think they're overweight when clearly they're average like any other person, or sometimes even slim!
I think, no, I know that media and societal standards have definitely caused immense insecurities due to a nearly unreachable ideal of beauty without surgical intervention or some sort of enhancement like filler, botox etc. But the truth is, even then most will never be fully happy. We've got even people like Kim Kardashian still trying procedure after procedure, and quite openly too, even though they are part famous for their beauty alone and set beauty trends.
I say, there will always be ways to improve your looks to where you're happy (not 100%, but happy/alright), even without these things. A different haircut, bangs, different makeup style, you'd be surprised how magical these things can be  Don't be disheartened. Remember, even people who totally defy beauty standards (perhaps due to extreme obesity, or very alternative fashionistas for example) end up with someone who falls in love with them. You're good enough. I have learned how to carry myself to where people fawn over my looks, EVEN though deep down I have these feelings. I had to force myself to get over that hill. I'm just a person too. Don't be so hard on yourself. Always remember that even the greatest of the greats still have insecurities too. Yeah, it can be argued that life is harder if you're not "beautiful" but it can also be argued that life is harder when you have defects, and that life is even harder when you have disabilities - like this is endless. Likewise, life would be easier if we were millionaires. Life would be easier if we were famous. These kinds of fantasies are pointless imo. You know that saying, that if you look hard enough, you'll just keep finding more and more "problems" and it'll never stop. Don't just give up and accept you're hideous or something along that line. Get some deep long needed rest. Do some face masks, change up your style, sleep well, drink plenty of water, change your mindset slowly, essentially: learn to take care of yourself and your skin, hair and body will glow. The fact that you asked "when" to give up, means you haven't yet and there's something still in you wanting you to learn to see your sparks. Don't let unrealistic expectations (even your own) steal your sparkle. Sending you lots of love and like you said yourself, millions feel this way too. You don't need to grill yourself to reach some wild beauty standard set by those who weren't even born that way in the first place. Wish you all the best, and if you ever need to vent, I'm here!

  16. I didn't say anything about your excitement at all - I said promo, which there is indeed an excess amount of, leading me to believe you may be a promoter rather than a true patient, especially since you posted a review right after joining. However, it doesn't mean I'm discounting your entire experience or something. I'm looking forward to your updates  Wishing you a speedy recovery.

  17. Wow, how disappointing for them all to give this kind of attitude! In the end, I am happy that like I said it is not really noticeable and I imagine it looks totally normal in regular lighting. With all of these clinic's behaviour, perhaps it is better to leave it alone than to deal with people who don't even want to really help solve the issue (and I had no idea scans are so expensive, they are free in my country and I never thought about it before). I am glad though that you did end finding articles etc. that match with your case. You know your body best and it's ridiculous when someone will say something like "that mark was always there" when you know it wasn't. Smh.

  18. I think they meant that the gap area looks like the muscle has moved (like a tear - just using that as an example! Who knows what it could truly be right now). Personally, I don't think that random space is sagging either, because the rest of your facial contour isn't like that, it's just that one spot and it's not like your v-line would have a random cranial dip in it like that. Plus, it does look incredibly similar to the other image, just a slightly different placement and less pronounced, basically a less severe version. I think you could really benefit by having a thorough scan done at any unrelated clinic (so they wouldn't lie or be biased, just in case) to see if you do have any tearing or muscles that moved positions, etc. due to the v-line. By the way, the dip doesn't appear to look bad imo! However, just to be safe, I'd get a scan to make sure things don't worsen or tear more in the future, if that is possibly the case.

  19. You're so welcome! Always keep looking, the answers are always out there somewhere  I wish you the best of luck in resolving this issue.
