  1. I’m just glad you’re looking into options to fix this, don’t give up  I have seen people on this forum fix the sagging issue with things like fat grafts, face lifts, custom implants or even wearing the headband bandage thing (sorry not sure what it’s called) around their jaw at nights, which can really improve the situation (try this out if you haven’t!). Thread lifts help too, though sadly, it’s not a permanent solution like you know. It would have to be re done at least every 6 months to a year. Keep in mind though that facial lipo is much more expensive and plenty of horrible professionals will recommend it for the money they’d make from it, even if it’s not going to be good for the patient. Keep researching until you feel very comfortable with your choice. I am sure you’ll find what you’re looking for in due time! Wishing you the very best.

  2. Just be careful because face lipo will create more room underneath the skin which my contribute to more loose skin/sagging. You're experiencing a bit of sagging right now not due to excess fat, but due to less bone for the skin to adhere to. I'm sure you know these things but wanted to mention just in case - best of luck!

  3. It was an ablative CO2 laser. I had an uneven raised scar, yes. It flattened it completely (it lasers away the extra skin) and it's now seamless and scarless! The area is now super smooth and I can't stress enough how easy this was. I have no idea why plastic surgeons talk about revision surgery when there is such a simpler and affordable option. This cost me around $200 for an excellent permanent result. And, since the laser is controlled by the technician, they can custom flatten parts of it or whatever it is you need to smooth it all out evenly. My only suggestion to anyone is to make sure to go to an experienced professional - the more qualifications, the better.

  4. Thanks so much for sharing that! Very sad that a negative review is what pushes some of these people to "care" and not natural compassion itself. Just disgusting.

I appreciate your openness (if I do take this route I'll def check out this NC doctor). Wishing you the best with your revision. Took me 3 years to sort mine out but it's always possible imo

  5. Agreed! After my rhino in the US, I was 100% happy but I didn't heal well in the columella area. The extra scar tissue showing on my side profile made it obvious that I must have had some sort of procedure done. I went to a local Canadian plastic surgeon and he said it wasn't so bad (lol) and went on about all the potential risks surgeries bring and how he could make it even worse. I honestly felt depressive but I'm glad I didn't give up. I kept looking things up and eventually got it 100% fixed by a laser tech in like a one minute procedure. Now it looks like I was born with a nice nose! I feel that Canadian surgeons are much too conservative with their work, though I'm sure there are some exceptional ones. Similarly, I'm sure you'll come across an expert than can effectively remove your facial fat grafts, even if you've heard it can't be done or "isn't terrible". Just keep researching, don't give up.

Also, that's awesome! If you're comfortable, please PM me the surgeon that performed that

  6. Oh wow! Has it been a long time now that the grafting has lasted, or was this recent? Thanks for sharing all the info about the risks btw. I didn't know much about this. I hope it works out for you soon. I'm Canadian as well but personally I've found US surgeons to have more of a niche (just in my experience of course).

  7. Sunnydahye (love her lots!) does have noticeable sagging from FC:
Not the best screenshots but when she's moving live in action, it's a lot more clear. She's young but already with this sagging, it's a wild reminder that time will never stops ticking. Aka, the side effects will only get wilder. Please be very careful. I haven't had any FC procedures myself but I've seen way too many negative results. Sometimes it's even positive until years later when the sagging shows up. I mean check this out from just a couple weeks back. From everything I've learned, sagging will 100% occur with FC procedures, it's just the severity and timing of it that is unpredictable.

That being said, I get ya. I'm the type to take some risks too if it would potentially means an amazing result. Just make sure to read up a lot about this topic before you make any big decisions. Best of luck

  8. There used to be a user on here called FieryCucumber who had a successful jaw and zygoma reduction reversal but they've since deleted their update threads and profile. However, I found another thread of hers on a different site - perhaps you can reach her there to inquire about which surgeon it was and more details. She said it's fine to message her there. The after photos (now deleted) were amazing.

  9. Thank god that the general public is a lot smarter these days, but also, without a doubt there are reviews on here that pass as real but aren’t. Always take forum posts with a grain of salt and do your own independent research on top of that.

Pretty wild how these fraudulent promoters sleep peacefully at night, while due to their actions, someone else won’t be able to again. Please don’t be so naive, it’s a selfish world.

  10. I've seen people look perfectly normal after just a week. I've also seen people still looking wild for a couple months. It all really depends on how intensive the procedure was (if a lot was changed or just something small) as well as personal genetics. For me, I looked presentable after 2 weeks, but still very unlike myself for exactly 4 months (equally super swollen all over the face, especially with an upturned nose that had yet to soften, come down and heal - but like a stranger wouldn't know that it wasn't my regular face).

  11. Well said. Additionally, the admin of this site received an email from the GNG hospital with this patient's personal contract information and signature (none of which would have existed if the story was fake).

  12. Omggg I spent at least an hour or two horror-reading all your threads and seeing all of the photos as well as others' experiences. Shocking how GNG treats their own patient after payment. I would never go there - the staff sound like greedy and slimy businessmen rather than caring medical professionals. Thank you so much for your saving others potential future pain and regret. Best of luck!

  13. I had mine with Dr. Ghavami (biggest thing I can say is that majority of his staff are AWFUL and stuck up - I even lost thousands travelling to the one-year check up they accidentally canceled and wouldn't do anything about - but the doctor himself is great). Lots of research and stalking a clinic or surgeon's work beforehand is essential

  14. Yes. I’ve actually never talked about this in my life lol, not even to my own plastic surgeon. Anyway, I was always cute/pretty from the front, but I had a massive nose so if I turned my face even a little to the side, I would feel hideous, almost like a monster. This started when I was about 14 years old. It was so twisted too, like a weird S shape in certain views. Trust me, it WAS hideous. One time in class, my own crush commented “wow, you have a really big nose”. It really hurt! I already knew it was huge, and to hear that confirmation was devastating.

I always wanted it “fixed” as I grew older. It came to a point where I felt extremely nervous whenever I had a passenger when I drove my car, because they would see my side profile! It was also an awful time speaking to someone across from me, as I would do my best to only look at them from the front and not move to any angle. I started obsessing over it in the mirror. I began photoshopping my pictures and eventually I had a friend tell me, “you look so different in your photos...” in front of a huge group of classmates! I was mortified. Believe me, this whole nose thing was never something to do with vanity for me, but rather, everything to do with insecurity. Rather than just my face, it had started taking over my life. It sounds dramatic, but I’m sure you know what it’s like to have a personal insecurity start to feed on your spirit.

So now I’ll skip to full recovery after my rhinoplasty. I could not even believe that really was my own new nose. It was so cute, and so natural looking! Only those who saw my everyday noticed, while others who saw me after a year or so, told me I looked so different but they couldn’t tell what changed (again, it was a very natural result). Rather than feeling nervous about my side profile or other angles, they became my absolute favourite. Not only did I look mostly the same from the front (which I had wanted), but in addition, the massive nose was now small, scooped and adorable from every view. When I visited Vegas, believe it or not, I had two girls (together, they were friends) tell me I had an adorable nose. Imagine going from someone insulting a feature, to having someone praise it! I couldn’t resist, so I did tell the girls I had my nose done. They were shocked!

However, it’s not about those 2 comments on my nose (the mean one and the nice one). This was all about controlling my own insecurity. I must say, I’ve never felt more confident and comfortable with not only my nose, but my entire appearance. Sometimes an insecurity is like a smudge on an otherwise nice canvas. I’m so surprised how my outlook shifted so much. If anything, I regret waiting until after college grad. If I had only known my life would feel so different for myself after this, I would have done this after high school. I feel a lot of my years were, no, I KNOW a lot of my years were wasted with my low self esteem. Obsessing over something so insignificant in life, but so major to my brain. If I had dealt with it sooner, I would have gone out more. Not have been so shy with guys. Not constantly feel like dying while driving with a passenger or presenting head on to a class. I would have been able to enjoy my conservations with others instead of hyper focusing on whether my nose angle was off or not.

I know my surgeon always says to everyone to only get plastic surgery if your confidence is at least a 7/10, otherwise he recommends counselling or to really look into improving mental health first. I always believed I was at that level, but clearly not, since now I feel so good that looking back, it must have been more of a 3/10! Anyway, it’s hard to explain to anyone why this was such an important issue for me, so I’ve never spoken about it.

I can tell, people are kinder to me, treat me better and I myself feel miles better. It’s silly, for sure. However, I’ll never feel vain for having gone through with all this. It’s more like finally I truly fit into my skin, and if society and its modern beauty standards were always going to be this harsh, then I’m glad I didn’t live my whole life letting those standards crush me anymore.

  15. I back that advice as well. I would also never return to the same surgeon who didn't meet my expectations the first time. I often see stories here of people returning to the same surgeon 3x times and it just gets worse - then they are left with such overworked noses that no one else feels confident they can fix.

Anyway, give yourself some credit  It was a major procedure and at that point in time, you did your best. It is only natural to obsess over some areas that you know can look better. Believe me, I was glued to my mirror during the worst of times, feeling worse and worse. It is a bad habit, yes, but know that you're not alone and that it's a stressful situation after all. By the same token, please be extremely thorough with your research as this is a revision, which is already a more complex procedure than an initial primary rhino. I would also recommend to edit your nose in photos from a few different angles to ensure that you and the surgeon will be picturing the same results in your minds.

  16. Someone asked the same here except for clinics in general, but I did have rhinoplasty so I answered based on my experience with that  Before/after comparisons are my #1 always (so for example, I saw a girl's photo/video who had almost the exact same nose as me, and admired her 'after' result; this way I became confident my surgeon had the right experience for a nose like mine).
And I'm sure your friend is right. Honestly, the entire look of my face changed in an amazing way with just the nose change. Pretty wild!

Another note I'd like to add is that I 100% make sure to photoshop myself to whatever I want the result to look like, so the surgeon is exactly on the same page as me with what I want, and it's not just me describing my vision with words, since we could be picturing different things in our minds. If you show them the photo itself of what you're exactly envisioning, that way they could tell you "oh sorry, I can't do that, it's not in my expertise" or "yes, I see what you mean, that can be accomplished here". If you ever do need help with editing or want something edited for you, you're free to reach out to me!

But yeah, these two aspects are vitally important for me to help ensure I'll get what I am looking for.

  17. Here's one I just found  I'm sorry to say I didn't save others I saw, since this is not the exact procedure I had myself. However, it was very interesting to learn about this and I did find successful revisions/reversals, mostly with users linking realself experiences. Off the top of my head, bone grafting was another solution that I hadn't heard of before.

The search feature isn't so good on this site so I don't use it much, rather, I end up clicking on profiles of comments I find interesting, and then reading more of their posts and so on. Sometimes, the recent posts have new updates and successes. I'm also very new here so I don't know how to re-visit threads/posts I've seen or something like that, but they are here for sure. Just takes a lot of digging sadly. If I do see them again, I will share with you.

  18. ^ I agree. In the end, what mainly counts is the surgeon, not really the clinic itself. For me, the most important factor was ensuring that at least a few of the "before" photos of the patients' feature, matched my own feature as close as possible, and that the "after" results on that feature were what I would want as well. It solidifies the doctor would most likely deliver great results because they've already had experience with your specific feature type.
