I think the surgery options themselves are amazing when you find the right doctor. The trouble is though, that these can eventually form again and look worse over time as you have less skin every time you get work done under your eyes. You have to be mindful of that and work with a doctor that truly understands. I am not up to speed with the clinic you mentioned but I have heard of it, not the doctor though. In passing it seems like a decent clinic. You don't have to settle with just one. Keep that in mind. Contact all of the ones you feel comfortable with. In most cases, they will respond fairly quickly and you can get better insight about the doctors, clinics, prices, procedures, etc. first hand instead of relying on what someone says online. You can find some more direct experiences in the forum's Discord or browse experiences on places like Reddit... but again, first hand knowledge is best. Just contact them.

That is a good enough reason to me. Just go with what you feel is right for you. Not everyone wants to spend a lot of time in Korea, some can't afford to. If you can and it is not an issue, just take an extra week. There is a lot to see and do there anyways!

I was going to say the same. I have looked for accounts like this and haven't found them but if you follow clinics, you are more likely to be recommended them if they are out there. So you can try that and see what happens!

Okay good, let me know what you find. I found some stuff I thought but it was only local to my location, it seems like you have to do a bit of digging to find something like this. Maybe it would help using a VPN set to Korea.

That is actually a good question. I would imagine the government would like to be informed. I am just not sure where you would report it, maybe the medical board? I know they have a public website anyone can access that is in English as well.

I wanted to post this as a PSA for new members and anyone considering a clinic in Korea. Most clinics are up to code, registered/licensed, and follow their strict laws but some skirt them. One of the biggest and easiest to spot red flags are a lack of CCTV in the operating rooms. Korea requires this BY LAW. If a clinic does not have cameras in the operating rooms, decline service with them and fine a different clinic.

You can join the Discord through the forum for some recommendations as far as clinics go or just search around. Most of them have great ratings. I would make sure no matter which clinic you are considering though that you make sure they are certified by law in Korea. They have a medical board that publicly shows this online. Expect to pay anywhere from 30% to 60% less compared to American prices. The cost depends on how much work you will need.

I remember seeing something (I think it may have been on reddit?) about how you can hire a local to help guide you through the process. They will actually go to clinics on your behalf, film the area, talk to the doctors, etc. which can be helpful. I am not sure what they are called or how to find them though!

A standard BBL tends to be the most expensive averaging around $10,000. Implants are around $8,000 on average. A standard lift tends to be around $4,000 to $6,000.

I know I was overwhelmed when it came to finding my doctor but I happened to know someone on another forum that recommended the clinic I went to. So I had some sort of "proof" that the clinic was legit!

I did look into this surgery and yeah, it can take some time. I am still recovering from a face lift at 2 months in and was told it may be another 2 months.

Thank you so much everyone. This has honestly calmed a lot of my fears. That and my doctor got back to me. I sent him pictures and he said I am healing just fine and there is no need to worry. He said it should be mostly gone in 6 to 8 weeks.

So I got a face lift in December. I went to one the of the top rated clinics I found online in Korea. My doctor was fantastic and the clinic was impressive. I was told the swelling can last a number of weeks but it has been 2 months at this point and I still have swelling. Is this normal? I have contacted the doctor and just waiting for him to get back to me.
