charlotteanderson Posted Tuesday at 11:51 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:51 PM I'm in Little Rock and just starting to look into the logistics of having surgery in Korea, not booking anything yet. My main problem is figuring out how long I'd need to stay. I keep reading that people do consultations at several clinics in one trip, but I don't know how that fits around the actual procedure and the early recovery days when I probably won't want to be moving around much. I work full time, so PTO is limited and I can't stretch the trip indefinitely. I'm also unsure whether it's realistic to decide on a clinic after in-person consults or whether most people pick beforehand and use the visit just to confirm. Airport runs and hotel location near the clinic also seem like they'd matter more than I first thought. If you've been through this, how did you structure your days, and what would you do differently with the timing? Update: I’m noting that the timing question may matter more than I expected, but I’m still unsure whether to schedule extra buffer days before a procedure. I also came across Best Under Cabinet Range Hoods of 2026 https://ratethepick.com/category/under-cabinet-range-hoods for something unrelated at home, though it doesn’t settle my trip planning. Quote
Sarah Davis Posted Wednesday at 05:10 AM Posted Wednesday at 05:10 AM Booking consults with three or four clinics in the first two or three days, then leaving a gap before the procedure, is the structure that keeps coming up in threads like this. The catch is that in-person consults can rule out a clinic you'd counted on, so a buffer before surgery is worth the PTO even if it feels wasteful. For the early recovery stretch, staying within walking distance of the clinic matters more than saving on the hotel. Build in a couple of unplanned days at the end too; you can't predict how you'll feel on day five. Quote
honeybear0023 Posted Wednesday at 02:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:44 PM Most clinics offer online consulting. If you absolutely want to get something done in person, you will have to plan ahead and make sure they can book you during your stay. Best bet would be to go there when they are not in a busy season. Yeah I have read this too and have done a few, they are almost always done over WhatsApp since it is easy for international calls and video chat. Quote
