Best Plastic Surgery Clinics in Korea -read 1st post before posting.

Recommended Posts

hello there, I got my double eyelids and rhinoplasty done at Pitangui medical&beauty. I got recommended by my korean friend and she said that it is the oldest plastic surgery clinic in Korea. I asked Dr. Yoo, the medical director. He opened his clinic in 1988. Before I went to Korea, I sent emails to many clinics and shortlisted two for the face to face consultations. I didn't want to go to so many because i would get confused. I sent emails to pitangui, bk, grand, dream, vip and teium. And I chose pitangui and bk in the end because pitangui gave me the most info with simulation images and i heard a lot about bk so I wanted to try. And they are actually located almost right next to each other. my surgery went well i think. I am still recovering tho. I got incision double eyelids and ptosis correction so the crease is a bit still red but my eyes got a lot bigger and pupils are showing much more than before. I used a silicone implant and ear cartilage for the nose tip. I really wanted a natural look for my nose but slightly higher. I think it looks a bit higher than I expected that Dr. Yoo said it will get slightly lower when the whole swelling is gone. I got my surgeries in mid december.

dear sanmi, yes I did go back to Migo and informed the nurse about my ear. Dr Kang, the doc who did my nose (and took out my ear cartilage) did take a look at my ear too and he was the one who told me the wound was torn about 5mm. I asked if it's serious and he said don't worry, but I had to bandage it up and he has to check on me the next day again.

But he went "aiyo...why so rough (referring to the shampoo girl)". And when he was cleaning my wound, it was still bleeding a little.

Anyway, I went back the next day, and he told the nurse to change my dressing and asked me to remove the dressing 2 days later when I'm back home. I'm still extremely careful with my nose now.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea, how long after doing Rhino, can we go jogging? I have forgotten to ask Dr Kang before leaving Seoul. sheesh. hahaha

Sorry for the late reply.
Send me your email via pm and I'll send you my b/a pics
I had my primary nose job done by Dr. Suh. It was only tiplasty because I was recommended only a 1mm implant, and I decided to opt out because it was cheaper to do just tiplasty and I didn't want to use any foreign materials.

I really do like my new nose, but now I want to do my forehead and cheeks and vline too... so i've been keeping a dl on this forum... LOL.

BTW, about facial treatments.

I went to facediet and was told promptly by the ladies at the counter that they only service patients from ID Hospital. Those facial treatments are meant to help patients from ID to de-swell. I thought wow, what a good service. Envious.

I'm not sure about other bigger clinics like ID, but I do know that small clinics, like Migo which I went to, do not offer such services (facial, shampooing hair). Just thought some might want to know.

But again, for smaller clinics, you are 100% sure the docs you have consulted with are the same docs who will operate on you, because they dont have many docs to go around. Usually, they only have one doc who specialises in eyes, another in nose etc.

And for those popular smaller clinics, you might want to know that they usually come from BIGGER PS clinics. They got popular at these bigger clinics because of their clean neat work, and so wanted to have a clinic of their own with another one or two good specialist(s).

For bigger clinics (Grand, Regen and others), they have many trainee docs. That is why usually they can offer you cheaper quotes. And like many have pointed out before, you cannot be sure if its the same doc you wanted who actually operated on you (fully...). Not that these bigger clinics aint good, but there is a certain risk. And I'm sure trainee docs can be good too.

Just my two cents worth.

Depends on what type of procedures you need for your nose job, but a full package rhino is approximately 3.5-5 mil KRW.

You can stay here for as cheap as $15/night (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/154298). I rented a room here and it was fine. The owner was very helpful and it was clean, if a bit shabby.

Flights can be really expensive, but if you are diligent, you can score tickets for under $1,000 USD....

So let's do the math in USD, on a 1,000krw to $1 USD scale:

5,000
1,000
+210
--------
$6,210

Keep in mind 5mil KRW is a very HIGH estimate. You'll likely spend less. Also, the skill of the canadian doctors are probably incomparable to korean surgeons who do 5 rhinos a day.

Hope this helps

Hi by 6 weeks I look pretty normal. No one can see the tightness, but definitely at least 6 weeks to look natural.

At 3.5 months, I think I am almost there. No stiffness at all, and looking super natural. I guess it does take 3 months...
