Wow that's sad. I had my nose done at JW and while I'm planning on an alarplasty and tiplasty revision (to match my alarplasty) I was really happy with my experience. After a while, I decided that I want a more pointed nose than my actual results, but I don't hold Dr. Suh accountable for that since I originally asked him for a very natural result. (shrug)

Who was her doctor? Doesn't JW have a chinese branch? It doesn't make sense for the tv show to fly a patient to Korea for free surgery... Wouldn't a local doctor have done it?

Just my thoughts...

Yes, parents need to sign a conformation for patients under 18. Most korean parents send their kids to do surgery after graduating from high school, so 18-19 yro is normal for small surgeries like eyes/nose, since these organs stopped developing around age 16 for girls. I know many girls who commit to these surgeries at age 17 and they're fine, but if it's bone shaving the best age is 20. I've consulted with doctors about this matter. Our eyes sag due to aging, not plastic surgery.
As a 17 yro myself, I'm interested in your cousin's surgery journey, keep me (if not us) updated if you can

I've heard the story too. I think JW used practice doctors on her, and the doctors did extremely bad results on her whole face. Her CT scan shows that her chin is asymmetrical, the mandible are uneven, and her nose implant is slanted. However I have never seen such bad reviews about JW on this forum :/

Eh, personal preference. I don't like the feeling of it, my friend has a fat graft on her forehead and it feels a bit soft and plushy to me. Silicone has more cons than pros.

Forgot to post this too:

* the blog is just showing the silicone implant after it has been taken out of a patient. The blog states that after some time the implant prevents the eyebrows from going up due to a "capsule" that forms around the implant.

Some important news on Grand Plastic Surgery Clinic:
I know this has been posted by a few forumers but for any new readers or any forumers that want to see the articles here they are:
This is news that I found from a few months ago-- a young girl was left unconscious/ brain dead during an eye and rhinoplasty operation. This is not the first time Grand has had such incidents in their clinic, there are petitions in favor of shutting the clinic down completely.

*Try google translate for the english translation, the translation is a really off though.*

Another article on Grand Plastic Surgery clinic accident on young girl:

Another article on Grand describes them as an "organized criminals". Here they are seen apologizing:

Tidbit: When you type in "plastic surgery clinic death incidents" on daum in korean the first few suggestions that show up are Grand clinic or Grand clinic accident.

Omg the links you sent me! I never wanted a silicone implant. Now I definitely don't want it! O.O

And wow. Grand... What search terms are you using? 성형외과 살인사건?

Practice doctors??? why would she agree to that zzzzzzzzzz, unless she had no idea. She probably got everything done for a really cheap price...

JW wanting to sue her for sharing a bad review seems too dramatic though, I don't think I believe that.

For me I pay attention more to the Doctors than the clinic itself. If I was able to get a consultation with Dr. Suh then I still go to JW. Same goes for clinics with a bad reputation like grand. If I was guaranteed time with Dr. Rhee (only him) then I would go to them

I am using a lot of different terms:
성형 외과 사망 사고
성형 외과 사망
성형외과 의료사고
etc..
Is you last name Kim btw? ^_^
