V Line Surgery at the Face Dental

Recommended Posts

Yeah, at the time I was actually considering clinics like BK, ID, Dream, and Wonjin because they were the first ones that popped up and the websites looked good! I didn't end up going to one of those, but the one I chose in the end wasn't good - there was only one doctor who did all the surgeries! At the time I didn't know the importance of picking a specialist for a specific body part.

I will try that tactic. I will definitely visit several clinics before paying for surgery - even though I have a good idea where I want to go after reading this forum, I may learn some new things when I go in person.

Yep, it's important get it right the first time! Honestly post-op v line was ****ing awful, and I heard it was even worse with rhino. I never, ever, want to go through this again. Even if my vline doesn't come out the way I want it to I don't think I want to go through that bs anymore haha

That is why I want to get all the surgeries I want together, I don't want to go through the tough recovery time more than once. I have already had a few painful surgeries in my life - first DES surgery, wisdom tooth removal, and orthnogathnic surgery next year. Good thing I am good at tolerating pain.

Can you recommend a bandage online? The consultant said that I don’t need to wear after surgery but this doesn’t seem to be the experience I’ve seen anywhere else.

Hi everyone ^^ it's day 11!

I had another appointment yesterday, which included laser deswelling treatment. The bottom right part of my chin is still numb, but the feeling is slowly returning in little sharp painful spikes.. But it's pretty bearable.

I looked in the mirror today and was pretty shocked at my own appearance. My face had become so much smaller, and I still have so much swelling left! Because i had my mandible reduced, I was concerned about my buccal fat hanging around the bottom of my cheeks, but the doctor said they will reposition themselves around the six month mark.

Since I won't be going back for anymore appointments I thought I'd write my thoughts about the staff.

Seriously, I adore them. None of them speak English so they all use translators on their phones, they're all so gentle and caring. Even the consultant was so sweet and affectionate when i came in swelled like a balloon and patted my cheek, and even referred to herself as auntie! There was one nurse in particular who took care of me (short hair) who was so incredibly patient despite the language barriers, I swear I wanted to take her home haha. I've been to other consultations and it's quite obvious they only see you as a walking ATM, there's something so off putting and fake about the front they put up. But everyone at TFD genuinely cares about you, even after they've taken your money haha.

Anyway, very impressed with TFD, don't expect a frilly experience with airport pickup and bags of pumpkin congee, but they do a good job, the feeling in my face has been slowly returning and my face shape looks great, all for such a low price. I never felt rushed or that they were pushing things on me I wasn't comfortable with. My experience with them has been amazing, I'll update with b&a pics when I get home.

Oh yeah, also wanted to write a mini rave about the toilet at TFD. It has a heated seat and a bidet.. Pretty awesome.

I have seen you on Reddit. You look like you have had ton of surgery already? I'll be going for surgery yea. Then in March Facial Team for forehead and nose. I have met Dr Lee before back in Feb, and been to the F.D clinic so I know a bit about it. I dont trust Facial Team to deliver on what I want for the lower face.

Hey  aw yes lots of changes since then.. I had a complete FFS (like literally lol, complete makeover this year ☺️), but there’s still an area I feel that’s still heavy is my lower jaw, so I’m planning for Double-jaw (to make mid-face shorter, and make the lower jaw setback) and a Vline revision (still feels more bone can be removed). It’s nice you’ll be doing v line in Seoul dr lee is great with it . I have consults with TFD and EUDental, but I may go with Dr. Kim in the end. Aw, that’s great plan. I did my forehead with Dr Spiegel, but FT is also very good with it, but I can’t say much about Dr. B’s noses, I did my revision with Dr. Lucian Ion and can highly recommend him. Yes, facial team really isn’t good with lower face or other soft tissue procedures, they are way way conservative, and jaw looks heavy still (I have a friend who did her jaw there, still looks heavy), it’s nice you’re going with Dr. Lee, I would have also picked him if I was doing just a Vline or a vline revision.

Thanks, I feel more comfortable with my decision now. The two jaw for midface seems like your best option for your face. I'm lucky my midface is fairly compact. Just beware that there is a risk of sagging the more maxilla is removed. Both or your choices are really good clinics.

Do you have someone looking after you during your recovery in Seoul? 2-jaw is pretty brutal for the first 2 weeks.

Thanks for the detailed review and comments. I am super worried about the post-op for facial contouring.. And reading the comments doesn't really help but I guess I need to toughen up and be ready when the time comes lol. I know this thread is almost about TFD, but what other clinics have you guys considered or went to for f/c??

Hey I do t think it’s going to be that bad, I would also recommend EUDental if you want 2jaw &/ V-Line (with Dr. Kim) it’s also a trustworthy clinic by reading through the forum. I’ll be having 2 consults with both these clinics in Jan
