  1. Past hour
  2. You should provide it for your own sake, even if they don't ask. They should ask though for basic health issues. Like what medications you are on or if you have heart or lung conditions.
  3. I don't know, I read the opposite. It seems like most people recommend being as close as possible because certain times of the day are so busy there a 3 min drive can take 10+ minutes.
  4. I don't know anyone personally who had a nose job but I have seen before and afters and watched some videos on YouTube where people had them done. It seems like most people have swelling and bruising but eye swelling doesn't happen for everyone but it can happen for some. That can be a bit of an issue!
  5. Wait, what is stem cell scalp treatment? I didn't know this was a thing. I have heard of doing blood plasma injections and botox but never stem cells. This sounds interesting and it might be worth my brother looking into.
  6. Yesterday
  7. I would recommend being within 10 minutes. This is especially true for the Gangnam district of Seoul. They are super busy there. While they handle traffic better than most American cities I have been to, it is still very congested.
  8. THIS. If you look online at other people's experiences, you will find a lot of the same. It really just comes down to how your body handles it. Some recover faster than others. Some bruise more and take longer. I have seen some people post surgery by a few days look like nothing even happened, no redness or bruising, not swelling... Nothing! Then I have seen others that look like someone took a shovel to their face!
  9. All sorts. Simple face lifts is an example. There is nothing really to check outside of if the healing process is going well. The skin takes care of itself. They most just check the healing process, bruising, and if there are any signs if infection.
  10. Yes, I have heard of clinics doing that. It is much easier to manage patient needs when you have separate days for what is handled. I wouldn't be shocked if most clinics do this but if they have multiple doctors, people wouldn't notice. As they would always have some doctors doing surgery and others doing appointments.
  11. Last week
  12. They are fairly decent with traffic and transport there. I think they handle it better than most, especially in the busy cities. I would still be in the general area just to avoid long travel post surgery but time shouldn't be a problem
  13. It really depends. Some people have TONS of swelling but others have hardly anything. You will have bruising but it will be covered by bandages. Someone I work with got her nose done a few years ago and she came to work the following week and she just looked like she got punched. Her face was bruised but hardly any swelling and she felt fine for the most part. No one really thought anything of it.
  14. I think they had to do this because they had some issues with criminal doctors in the early 2010's. Their entire medical sector around plastic surgery has been cleaned up big time and it is now one of the safest and cleanest places to get work done in the world.
  15. I know there are tons of horror stories with plastic surgery gone wrong online but Korea is like the world hub for plastic surgeries and they have some of the best doctors in the world. I would argue they have the highest percentage of them in one location.
  16. I am booked for my surgery for the end of June. I have my hotel and everything. I will be heading to South Korea on the 23rd and my surgery day is the 25th. I gave myself a few days to settle in. I am a bit concerned though that I will be spending most of the time there in a hotel because of swelling. I have heard people say some are worse than others but I also see so many people exploring the city they are in after surgery. Won't I look like a mess? LOL
  17. I usually just check on Trip Advisor and other similar sites for stuff like this as you get mostly real reviews from real people. According to them, GLAD Gangnam COEX Center is the best but I would imagine it is a more expensive one by the looks of it!
  18. A friend had lipo for love handles done and she said it was the most expensive lipo at the clinic she went to. This was in Canada. I am not sure what makes that one of the more expensive ones there but not in Korea. Maybe the tools and methods they use?
  19. I read it mostly doesn't. This was something I was curious about. Everything seems to be fairly close so just leaving on time would or should be enough but I guess if you want to be sure or have less travel time between surgery and your hotel, it can't hurt to find something close by.
  20. That is a good point. I will make sure I have digital copies of everything so I can just e-mail them to the clinic. That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for pointing that out!
  21. If you find out that this isn't the case, should you report them? If this is a law requirement, I would imagine they would want to know about this. I never knew this was a thing.
  22. I am just wondering once I book something with a clinic, should I try to get a hotel near the clinic? I am not sure how busy Korea is or how hard it is to get around. I have heard of people saying they were "late" to appointments because they stayed too far away.
  23. They allow for this? I mean showing other people's before and afters. I would imagine if they do, the patients had to sign off on it. I figured everything they had just got posted online anyways.
  24. I heard great things of the V-Beam for rosacea. I think it is for broken blood vessels and redness. A friend of a friend got this done in Korea and her skin looks completely different now. Not sure how long it lasts or what not. They do have a lot of k-beauty brands and lines for redness too. You can check on amazon.
  25. They will have cameras directly on what is being performed but they don't record the entire room. It is actually rare for this in the US. I have never been to one that has and visible cameras anywhere.
  26. That is one of the hardest parts! Narrowing down doctors and clinics because there are SO MANY! I was thrown off when I was looking. In my local area, we have like maybe 4 or 5 clinics within and hour of where I live. Over there, you will find like 5 clinics within a few minutes of each other.
  27. Oh there are clinics that specialize in this kind of treatment? I had no idea. That would probably make them better than most clinics!
  28. I must have had the wrong information. Thanks for pointing that out. I did look it up again and you are right, they are cheaper on average in Korea. I guess that makes sense considering everything else is plastic surgery wise.
