  1. I was going to mention this. I don't think Rosacea is as common of a condition for Koreans likely due to genetics and diet but lasers do help a lot!
  2. I was looking into POP Plastic Surgery because Dr. Sang-il Kim used to work with them, he is now with Vava PS.
  3. So I am not familiar enough with the area but I have been looking into this. Apparently the Gangnam district is the prime zone for PS and recovery in Seoul. They seem to have the best rated clinics and hotels. Some of the clinics will also off discounts for certain hotels in the area. For minimal travel, it seems the Apgujeong, Cheongdam, and Sinsa neighborhoods are ideal. Then you have Seocho and Samseong (COEX) areas provide quieter recovery environments with easy access to pharmacies and food courts.
  4. I am not entirely sure what I want in terms of surgeries. I know what I want to fix. I want a bit of lifting, anti-aging, and to fix my uneven eyes. When I wear glasses as well, they sit weird. I don't know if that is my nose or ears but I would like that to be fixed if possible too. I have an online consultation set up with Vava Plastic Surgery but there is a waiting period. I am hoping I can get a better idea of surgeries and options as well as costs. A friend of mine told me I should do this with multiple clinics, especially if they offer them for free. I am not sure how to find out of they are free or not though just looking around online. Not every place says they are.
  5. So I was looking into clinics in this specific area because, from my understanding, this is more of an upper-class area that has higher beauty standards. I figured any clinic in this zone would be best for specific beauty enhancing surgeries. I saw a number of people on reddit and other platforms mention Dr. Sang-il Kim. So I looked into this doctor more and found the ties to Vava PS. So I am currently getting in touch with them. I am just wondering if there are any other highly recommended clinics in this area that anyone knows of.
  6. A number of people end up needing body contouring, not just lipo or skin tucking. If you want to see results for it, Note PS has some good reviews/before and after pics. I have seen them before.
  7. You can get a lot of complementary work after surgeries from my understanding. You just have to wait for the healing process to be past a certain point.
  8. Is it normal for them to have a English WhatsApp number? I ask because I have looked into both myself and View PS lists this as a contact. I guess this is a way around international fees? It just seems odd to me that a clinic would use an app like this to communicate but maybe that is standard now.
  9. I have heard of these! One of the things I see people mention is that they come off more like a used car dealership than an actual clinic, trying to sell, sell sell!
  10. For people still looking to get plastic surgery in Korea, is MTC (Medical Tourism Corporation) a good option that could help someone planning in the US? Someone I work with mentioned it to me, said that her mother-in-law worked with the company to help book surgery in Turkey. I am just not sure if they work with Korean clinics as well. I am currently looking into Note Plastic Surgery but I am having trouble finding the information I want online, so I am considering contacting this place to see if they can help.
  11. I am in the process of looking for stuff myself, for burn scars and issues like that. I have yet to find a clinic I like. I have contacted a few but it didn't feel right for me. I am making sure I take my time though and being very thorough with my decisions.
  12. For certain things, I think it could be better to work with a smaller clinic and where there is only one doc. It seems like they tend to be more perfectionists and less competitive. From what I gathered, they almost view themselves as artists. This could be why they like working alone. Not all boutique clinics have just one single doctor though.
  13. The only ones I know of are clinics. I don't see anyone running accounts that post from various clinics so you should probably just get a list of the best clinics and follow those. I follow a few of them on my account I can give you if you want.
  14. I am still in the process of looking. I have found a few clinics that seemed promising but when I got in touch, they didn't know much English and I did not feel comfortable booking anything with them. Very friendly and everything, I just don't want to have to worry about words being crossed or something.
  15. I know they do follow-ups while you are still in Korea but I mean in terms of down the road. Do you have to plan to book another flight weeks or months out post surgery or do they do this online? Like looking at your progress and making sure everything is going well? I have heard of some people needing to go multiple times back and forth from their home country to Korea for one surgery. That has to be expensive!!
