I lost a fair bit of weight using ozempic and while I am happy to be slimmer again, I am self-contentious about my sagging "moobs". I don't know what else to call them. I had a fair amount of fat in my chest so now it just looks terrible. I can't afford to do this surgery locally, my sister recommended going out of the country for it. Korea seems to be the cheapest option so I am trying to find a clinic that does this.

What to do with downtime in Korea?
calmwaters replied to smolcat22's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Shopping is usually my go-to. I do love trying new foods and that but shopping is so enjoyable. They have tons of areas for shopping.. markets, malls, etc. so it is not hard to find a place to do this. You can also check out their spas and have a relaxing day in one of those. -
Is reducing arm fat a simple surgery?
calmwaters replied to justzoe's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
A brachioplasty is an arm lift. It is not just to remove excess fat but also skin. Usually it goes from the elbow to the armpit. It is a more complex and more expensive surgery. Lip just removes the fat. If you have both loose skin and excess fat, you will want an arm lift. - Last week

Facial swelling after 2 months?
mariemarie replied to KiWiP's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Yes, this is normal. I think you might feel a bit of relief if you look up progress pictures or find a progress video on YouTube. A lot of people share their experiences when it comes to surgeries and face lifts are extremely common. -
What to do with downtime in Korea?

This is a good question! When I was in Korea in 2024, I was overwhelmed. I didn't know what to do when I had nothing to do outside of my surgery plans. What I did was look at local spots. Food places, entertainment, shopping spots. Korea has soooo much to offer and is so fun when you enjoy the vacation. -
How long should I plan my trip for?
alisaw replied to alisaw's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
So 10 days is probably too little. I guess I should plan for a 2 week stay, maybe even 3 weeks? I will have to make sure I can budget in a stay for that long. I do wonder if some clinics offer hotel stays as well? Does anyone know? -

What is the difference between getting lipo or the brachioplasty? I have been told I have both loose skin and excess fat so I am not sure how to approach this. -
Looking for scar revision clinics
pjames replied to pjames's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Thank you for your replies. I will check out both the Geurim Plastic Surgery Clinic and the Ruby Plastic Surgery Clinic today. I am sure even the more expensive options are still more affordable than anything I can get locally. -

If you don't mind spending a bit more, Ruby Plastic Surgery will give you not only great results but a luxury experience. Like no joke! Go look at the photos of the clinic. It feels and looks more like a 5 star hotel than a clinic. It is beautiful! -

My sister got this done in 2022. She is the reason I decided to go to Korea myself. Her experience was amazing and her recovery was so fast, I was shocked. I believe she paid $1,550 for both arms and it included aftercare and they even covered part of her hotel stay (so she was closer to the clinic). -
If you have gone to Korea for surgery, what have you done with your down time? What I mean is the time that you have while waiting around for surgery, in between consultations, or during your recovery. The last time I went I was honestly bored! I wasn't sure what to do so I mainly just stayed in my hotel. I was not sure where to go or anything. I guess I didn't plan ahead for this part of my trip. I will be going back in May again for another surgery so I want to be able to enjoy my trip a bit more!

Facial swelling after 2 months?
beachybabe replied to KiWiP's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
It is normal to have subtle puffiness for several months, especially in areas like the jawline, neck, or under the chin. You will almost have a feel and look of a pillowing like texture to the skin. You shouldn't have to worry about it and it will go down over time. -
The quality is on par with the US, and in same cases better. Overall it is better imo. You end up spending up to 50% less money for the same quality but many Korean clinics also have more comprehensive aftercare that is included in the total cost. Things like lymphatic massage, scar treatment, and stem cell therapy can be included in the package which is amazing. You will be hard-pressed to find this sort of thing included for free in the US!

V-line surgery average recovery time?
melwinters replied to melwinters's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I didn't realize recovery could take this long. I would imagine it looks better as time goes on too, right? I will have to see what the doctor says I suppose. -
So I got a face lift in December. I went to one the of the top rated clinics I found online in Korea. My doctor was fantastic and the clinic was impressive. I was told the swelling can last a number of weeks but it has been 2 months at this point and I still have swelling. Is this normal? I have contacted the doctor and just waiting for him to get back to me.

I have a bit of drooping on my eyes as I have gotten older. One is worse than the other. I am trying to find a way to correct it that is as simple/easy as possible. Someone I spoke with mentioned getting a double eyelid non-incision surgery as it is said to be fast, easy, cheap, and the results are good. Are there any downsides?
