YES! I think this is the best place to go to find a plastic surgeon in the world. I have had experiences with doctors in the US, Mexico, and Canada and I can tell you the work and the care I got in Korea was above and beyond what I experienced elsewhere.

Speak with Doctor Kwon Soon-Hong at the JK Plastic Surgery Center. He specializes in tummy work and while I was there, I saw some of his work and was floored. They could probably give you quotes and suggestions without going there in person to help you decide.

I don't think so. If you factor in the costs for travel and stay, plus food and shopping you end up paying more. I think the above poster is right, make it a vacation and tack on getting botox as a spa treatment of sorts while there rather than just going to there only for botox.

I just want to share a bit for anyone considering this clinic for getting work down. JK is located in Apgujeong (Gangnam District of Seoul) and was considered the best of the best when I was doing research. I took a chance with them and I do not regret it! Doctor Kim Sung-Sik was who did my work (nose and facial contouring) and I swear I look and feel younger and more radiant than I did in my 20s! For reference I am 41. I had no issues with translations or anything. Everyone at the clinic seemed to speak English and were very familiar with non-Korean bone structure. The cost and aftercare had me shook. I not only got my surgery at 30% of the cost I was quoted in the states but the aftercare was included and was amazing! They wanted to charge me extra in America. They have anywhere from 3,500 to 4,000 international patients from around the world every single year. I cannot recommend them enough!

Everything I read just says to avoid summer months with July and August being said to be the worst. You'd have to deal with rain and storms which could be annoying if you are planning on walking around and doing things while in Korea.

You can get botox in Korea as low as $20 a session compared to what I have seen in the US - the cheapest being $250, that is a massive savings! I am only just looking into this but based on what I have read, it seems worth it for the cost alone. You have to consider the travel cost however so making it more of a vacation than just a trip for botox is probably more worth it.

Someone else had mentioned botox to me so I am looking into this. I just have to see what this costs and how long it lasts. I know botox results can be mixed. Some lasting longer than others!

I have no experience personally with this surgery or going to Korea. I am still in the planning phases myself. I have seen flights as low as $400 to Seoul which is the main city hub for plastic surgery in Korea. The average cost for hotels appears to be $40 per night. So between the hotel (assuming you stay 2 weeks) and get cheap flights, you are looking at around $1000 for that plus surgery cost.

That sounds amazing and honestly better than I had imagined. Everything I looked into, nothing like this was mentioned in the US although I was looking closer to the border. I will be going to Korea for sure to get my work done. Thanks!

I am sure the cost is factored in for non-Asians. By that I mean surgery for non-Koreans and other Asians that have simple features. Surgery for more complex jaws, noses, etc. take more time.

Check out Made Young Plastic Surgery. Dr. Lee Byeong-hoe has over 20 years experience and you could see his work online. I think there are a number of great doctors for this work but it all comes down to preference and which would work best for what you want.

This is what I have heard, yes! Some clinics will do pictures and adjust them to show you want it would look like from various angles. It makes it easier to get an idea of what you'd see when looking in the mirror.

I know getting neuromodulator injections is not super expensive compared to other things you can get done but if the price is way cheaper, I am wondering if it would be worth making a trip to Korea. Has anyone gone just for botox? Was it worth it? I am on the fence and hoping to find someone here with experience.

I lost over a 120 pounds and unfortunately because of my age and genetics, I have a lot of loose skin on my stomach. I was looking into doctors locally but I can't afford to have this done here. I had no idea this was considered the plastic surgery capital of the world, interesting! I know Korea is known for their plastic surgery but I am guessing the world-wide appeal is down to the cost and the experience. It is far more common for young people to get work done in Korea vs other nations where you typically see mostly 35+ in age getting work.

I have seen good things about this place when looking around online. Not something I am looking to have done but they seem to be one of the best for facial contouring so it is worth looking into for anyone wanting this kind of work done!

I went to MACS last year in October!! Yes, they do have the advanced x-ray/scanner that generates a 3D image of your skull. I guess my case as different, I'm biologically female but wanted a more masculine face shape (I'm transsexual). I asked about double jaw and V-line but Dr. Kim told me for what i wanted, he recommended a custom made chin implant and zygoma reduction instead. It came out to be fairly expensive but I would not trust any other clinic to handle my case! I'm 6 months post-op now and could not be happier.

Yup! Everything I read says you will find their best doctors in this city. Not to say you can't find a great one outside of it, I just know this is the main hub for work in Korea. Even the locals will recommend it too.

Yes this is good to point out and I think it is a good idea for anyone looking for a doctor to check the medical board in Korea too. Don't just go based on nothing but online reviews, especially not with AI being such a massive thing these days.

I saw a post about him on Facebook with a lot of people praising his work and some people even showed before and after, I was really impressed. I will have to ask permission to share it here but this one woman had her nose done and it looked stunning!

It is known as "Plastic Surgery Capital of the World" for a reason! You will find the best doctors, get the best services, and have the best experience finding a doctor in this location. People from around the world go here. It was the first area I looked into when trying to find a doctor.

I was planning for April/May but I am pushing my surgery back until September. I am actually relieved in a way as I will be missing all the bad weather so it worked out for me!

From what I have read and seen online, a lot of praise is given to Dr. Yoon Suk Ho for being the best for this particular surgery. He focuses on actual nose restructuring to not only make the nose look good but function great.
