Korean-english medical translator
admin replied to Debbyli's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
The Kakao IDs from above have been removed. It's come to our attention with significant evidence that none of them are medical interpreters, and have been operating disingenuously. Please use a professional service or a government office. -
Some clinics have English and Chinese interpreters, and the probability of having a Chinese interpreter is higher. Your other option will be getting a personal interpreter and they usually go for about 30,000 won per hour. You can usually get these through the government referral. Another option is to use a medical tour agency. An agency is bit of hit or miss, they can save you time, energy, and make things easy with a possible financial savings depending upon their flexibility and network, but some could be priced at a premium, but if it's still affordable, then worth considering. But you have to screen, compare and do your homework with agencies as well. Outside of PS most people can navigate daily life fairly well with no Korean. Download an an APP called BBB Korea, these are free on-demand phone interpreters to help with small daily conversations. Word of caution on getting freelancer interpreter for PS or 'helpful' airbnb host who wants to translate for you at clinics, which often get recommended on forums. Sometimes these people are billed as helpful freelancers, but usually these people end up acting as covert and unlicensed brokers (people who get a hidden kick-back of your surgery without being an agency). Once you start talking to them, they may use a lot of nudges and ploys to win your confidence to arrest your judgment and implement a hidden agenda, or they may try to interfere with places you have picked. It's sad, but it happens.

Many people are concerned about traveling to Korea for cosmetic surgery during the COVID-19 (Corona Virus) outbreak. It's important for one to read travel & health advisory notices from their respective countries about visiting Korea. It will also help to consult with reasonable friends and family who have a vested interest in your well-being. Please take all that information into consideration before deciding to go Korea during the time of this posting. If you can delay your trip, please do so, especially until the outbreak and cases are reduced to the point where the vast majority of travel restrictions on Korea are lifted. The risk is not just to your health and safety, but it can also impact other areas of your life. These can come in the form of return travel bans, or if you must be quarantined for two weeks upon arriving back home. If you absolutely cannot postpone your trip to Korea, please see these guidelines from the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC). Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty. Face masks: A face mask is recommended. The CDC does not advise to wear face-masks if you are not sick or to protect yourself. However, that advisory notice does not take into account plastic surgery patients. Post-surgery patients in recovery will have a much weaker immune system, and rhinoplasty and facial contouring patients will have wounds that are healing that a face mask can cover. There is a face mask shortage in Korea, you should try to secure your own face masks that have the following ratings: KF94 or N95 mask If you cannot find masks with these ratings, something is better than nothing. Eye Protection: For double eyelid surgery patients, safety goggles that protect and can seal the entire eye area are recommended when going back and forth for follow ups. Please be safe and exercise discretion and safety. Do not risk your health unnecessarily for the sake of a beauty treatment that can be done later under safer circumstances.

Anyone who did face lipo at Fresh?
admin replied to ISPwonder's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
For facial liposuction it does seem on the higher end, but it could be email prices. I think landing in the 1.8 million won to 3.2 million won range would be more likely after consult, but every clinic is different and Fresh is known for being priced higher. -
