hi Milkway, my rib implant did not get absorbed. What really get absorbed was the dermis put on my right side of nose as it was a depressed area. So don't worry. Dr Lee has placed a cartilage on my right side nostril to correct the uneven nostril, that cartilage survived more than perfectly. So it must be my foundation on the right hand side too poor. By the way, once the nose heal in portion, it will look better and better everyday.

 

Thank you HHer, I have not been to this thread for a while, I found you were really helpful and share your experience with other people. I am thinking of getting a fat grafting on my face. Would you mind let me know, does fat grafting can make your chin longer or it just to fill the depressed area?

 

Hi Angleplane, the first week after operation, my whole nose looks much bigger and higher. But because of the swellon, I didnot feel that it was high at all. Now I am actually six months after surgery and it is just right. THe whole nose will heal in portion which makes your nose height look just right. So don't worry

 

Are you Chinese? I have a qq number and Chinese website for them. Their results are amazing right? I have had a quote with them before. But Dr Oung does not recommend the rib for my whole nose and he quoted me with $11,000.00 just for a nose revision and stated that it can not be done just by one time.

 

Gees, rawdude, just realized, you have been here just after my last time which means almost half year.

 

I came in winter time, so I wear the whole lot under my jumper and covered by my coat. It mihgt be difficult for you to cover it up at summer time. But mind you, morning and evening still a little bit cool in here. If you can wear a money belt and then wear a thin trench coat or something, you will still look fine. P.s, don't release your date to come over here, it is internet you know... So be cautious baby.

Hello again. I am staying in room 610 this time. I did not hear any "official" inforamtion in regards what have been don. All I heard are from the nurses stayed in the surgery room with me. Dr Lee will inform me what he has done and I will keep you updated. Now I am going to lie down. I actually prefer to be distracted by posting information here. As the first night of recovery is always harder

 

I can't believe that I am writing the posts just one hour after I came out of the surgery. Again, I just want to share my pleasant experience with VIP. I am off for a lie down now. I should have some rest

 

I am here for a minor touch up. I had a major revison with Dr Lee last year in December. I am here to make my nose look perfect baby.

Last time when I had my revison with VIP, Dr Lee works more than 10 hours on me to reconstruct my nose. This time it takes about two hours

They are so sweet and they do everything to meet the patient's expectations. The service are great too, I feel so accomdated in here.

By the way, is this your primary or revision?

 

I had a moneybelt with me With cash you do not need pay any extra charges to the bank, the only disadvantage with it is that you have to be extremely cutious. I went to toilet a lot of times while I was on the plane to check if it is still at the right place. Lol. After you arrive at Korea, you have to declare it if it is more than $10,000 us Dollars. There will be ppl at the exit to collect your custom declaration. They normally just take a galance of the form and then let you.

I claimed fruits and nuts that I have carried from Australia. The guy collected my form did not even bother to put my luggage in the X Ray scan.

 

Hi my dear, I did try to message you on the facebook. But the computer in my room does not allow me to access that site. My consultation went great. I did not feel they care less about me but just more. They are trying hard to find the best solution for my nose. JoAnn is just more than amazing. I had my surgery done this afternoon. Dr Lee used fasial to correct the right hand side of my nose. He also shaved my rib implant a littel to create a better look. So far I know that he has harvested ear cartilage and placed on my tip area to provide a natural curve.

I just do not know what to say. Even it is a touch up because I want a perfect nose with my very poor foundation to start with. Dr Lee and JoAnn still go throgh a lot a trouble to provide me the best that they can do with me. The service is even better and all their staff are nice. I had the baby nurse hold my hand again. They are soooooooooo sweet. They make me want to cry as I am so touched.

How is your nose healing? I hope it is great.

 

Hi Intherighthand, I have had PI, it helps protruding mouth and the change is subttle. But make your nose looks better harmony with the rest of your face if that makes sense.

It is more for people with a protruding mouth. It chages the angel of the nose to your mouth.

 

Hi guys, I came to VIP last year and they accepted my cash in Australia Dollars. It is really good that they accept cash, because that means you do not have to bare the risk of exchange money in a unfair rate and pay extra fees to bank.

Hey guys correct me if I am wrong. Fat grafting is using your own fat on your forehead or chin to create a perfect profile of your face. It also can be used around your face where it needs a bit more fat to make a younger look. I met a girl while I was staying at VIP's officetel. Dr Lee did nose job as well as fat grafting on her forehead and chin. She looks exactly like a baby doll and her profile just looked amazing.

Paransal is to put implants normally your own rib cartilage if u use your own rib for your nose job to correct mid face depression and create a noble look. It also helps to correct protruding mouth.

 

Hey dear, that is because my nose is a super hard case so they did not suggest any other sugeries. I kind of feel lucky that they were really thoughtful in this matter. Otherwise I could get Dr.Lee works 20 hours for me.

When I did the consultation with other clinics they all said they can't correct my nose in one revision. As I have so many problems on my nose, Dr Lee did his best. I am now just waiting to see the final results to come out.

How is your healing going? I found my nose changes everyday. Lol

 

Hey guys, to all of you who had rib cartilage for their noses, would you mind let me know how much absorption did you notice? Was the bridge heaps lower after your recovery?

I had 5.5mm rib cartilage and around 1mm dermis on my bridge area, but my nose was super flat and got no foundations at all. I am now start to worry that high absorption will give me a lower nose than I expected I wish I could stop thinking of my nose!

 

Hi Rawdude, Dr Lee performed a fifth nose job for me, so it is definitely a revision case My nose skin was extremely thin after the previous nose jobs, so Dr Lee harvested dermis to make the skin thicker. My nose was very deviated and right side was really contracted so he has to use a lot of small catilage and soft tissue ( fat and dermis ) on the right side of my nose. I was in the surgery room for around 15 hours. I guess because my nose is so complicated and difficult, so it does take extra longer operation time. From my case you can easily tell how patient Dr Lee is! I can't imagine any other doctor will put so much effort on it just to give their clients the best satisfaction.

Even most of Dr Lee's works were difficult revision cases, I did see couple primary cases. Mixedgirl was there with me and I saw her nose, it was so pretty and she looks like an Euroasian now.

As I had silicone and goretex in my nose before, I can certainly tell you nothing feels better than your own rib cartilage, it feels and looks so real.

My nose is still very swellon. I also did a paransal surgery. Even my nose is swellon at the moment, I can tell the overall improvment on my look. I am now preparing to be back there in 2011 to do some fat grafting and a face lip suction. I am plastic surgery addictive now. lol

hi dadalyfe, In my room, I have internet connection, a computer( but I know some rooms do not have computer) TV, fridge, washing machine,small kitchen with gas cooking stoves and sink,shower room with toilet and all the supplies such as toilet paper, tissue, shampoo, body wash, washing powder, tooth paste etc. You have to buy your own food while you are staying in officetel. I purchased vegitables from Hyundai Department Store( which is 10 minutes' walking distance from the clinic) and have been cooking by myself. There is a small convinience store downstairs and you can purchase a lot of staff there as well. It has floor heating system, so the room temperature is warm and comfortable.

You will be kept in the clinic for couple days immediately after your surgery, where you will be provided three free meals each day and you will go to officetel once you are discharged from the clinic.
