I'm glad your results turned out well!
Personally I didn't really have a good feeling about Fresh. I was looking into chin lipo clinics as well and decided to contact Fresh through Kakao. I spoke to them in Korean as well but they never answered my questions directly about price and aftercare. I told them that I would be visiting on my own so I was quite worried about taking care of myself. As soon as they knew this, they were quite persistent in asking where I was from, if I was an overseas Korean or a foreigner, if I was from China, where I found out about them, etc. I told them that their BA pictures looked promising so I really just wanted to know the price but they kept on pushing for my replies. I eventually stopped replying and I kept getting messages on if I was still interested in coming. Idk, just thought this would be something for some others to consider.
I did come to Korea but ended up having my chin lipo at Beautyline Plastic Surgery. Although it's only been a month, I can see the difference already! It's still a bit sore if I look up too quickly, but the compression band really helps. I'm excited to see the maximum results from the third month onward ^_^
Hi Papermoon,
I'm so sorry to hear that you went through that ordeal. Now that it has been 3 years, do you still feel like revision is something you will do eventually?
I had kind of the opposite experience as you in terms of changes. I went to MVP in Seoul for my primary rhinoplasty. Even though I researched Dr. Wang's clinic because the dramatic changes looked so good, I wasn't really sure if it would be suitable for me. I wanted to still look like myself but have natural but noticeable changes. I had bridge aug (5mm! but I had virtually no bridge beforehand), tip refinement and alar reduction. I had to melt away my fillers in my nose as well.
In the few days following surgery, I was kind of upset because my nose looked short and upturned. Even though I've read quite a few recovery experience threads, it was like all the tips I learned flew out the window haha. Experiencing it yourself is pretty different, right? The consultant told me that swelling goes from top to bottom but I was reluctant to believe that it would look better because I was so caught up with how my nose looked right then and there. I was already searching for revision clinics T_T When the cast came off though, it looked a lot better although the tip was still a bt swollen. By the time I got home for work, I could tell that people thought I looked different but couldn't pinpoint what part.
Fortunately, it's been a year and I am happy with my nose. My parents also really like it, too. I see the most change in my tip - it's more defined but not pointy. The alars aren't pinched either. Dr. Seo also extended my columella a little and I see that change especially when I smile. I think he did a good job at keeping a balance between preserving your look and giving a natural change.
I hope this helps a little!
I ultimately did mine in Korea. At first I wished my result was more dramatic but I'm now glad that it turned out natural! I still look like myself but the change is still noticeable
Ah I see. Did you withdraw money back home or did you go to an ATM in Korea to do all of that? I'm from Canada so the exchage rate isn't the best if I go to the bank. The separate foreign exchange places aren't so great either in Canada so I'm just trying to decide what to do.
I know of some clinics that take card payments for surgery and some others where part card, part cash works too. Is it considered fishy if the clinic ONLY requests you to pay in cash?
omg...I'm having second thoughts. A lot of people here have either been unhappy with their paranasal augmentation results because it's changed their smile, or they have removed it altogether T.T
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with paranasal implant for a protruded mouth. Was the swelling really bad? I want the incision in my mouth and not my nostril because I had alarplasty before and I don't want to risk ruining that... I would like to get it done but I would be meeting a friend a few days after and I don't want it to look so obvious that I had something done. If I were to get a chin implant too, how would recovery be like?
Thanks!
After jawline liposuction, would threadlift be a good idea? How long does it usually last? I'm afraid that after the threadlift pulls your skin up and dissolves overtime, your skin will be saggy again. Is this true?
Hi all,
Is masseter reduction a thing in Korea? I mean without Botox. I'm looking to slim down my face but I realize that I have quite prominent jaw muscle as well.
Thank you!
Hi all,
It's been a while but I'm back at it...
I'm looking for a really good clinic for chin/neck liposuction. I want a defined jawline from the profile and a v-line effect from the front. I'm still quite young (mid twenties) at a healthy weight and BMI. Lost even more weight but this stubborn pocket of fat just won't go away. I hate that it's so visible from the front when I speak and it's even worse because I don't have a long neck.
I had gone to Seoul last year and had chin lipo done but the clinic was so conservative with the change, I really don't see much of a difference. It was such a wasted effort, financially and mentally.
Please please please, recommend me a clinic that is good for neck lipo T.T
Oh I see. I consulted for something else but I wasn't very happy with her so I just wanted to caution others if they happened to have her as a translator. She had a bob cut, reddish brown hair
I'm really happy that things turned out well for you at Ruby though! All the best with the rest of healing. Your eyes look beautiful so far!
I may consider revision rhinoplasty a few years down the road. I think the current (silicone) bridge height is alright. My area of concern is refining the tip and fixing mouth protrusion. I think the answer that I found was septal extension graft where the tip is extended forward. This lessens the appearance of mouth protrusion because the area where the nose and upper lip meet is pulled forward.
My question is, is it possible to achieve all of this through closed rhino if I wanted to just refine the tip and not touch the bridge?
I think if I were to have my eyes done, I'd put Oscar as one of my top 2 choices. It was really easy to communicate with the doctor and he was quite honest about what he could do and what would look the best for my face. Also, there were only locals in the waiting room when I went in for my consult and most had either eyes or eyes and nose done. That was really reassuring that the clinic was popular among locals and their quoted price was really reasonable as well!
Hi tianng162,
I went there to consult for revision rhinoplasty. I found them on Babitalk and decided to message them using my limited Korean. The consultant was really friendly and made such an effort to speak in English when I met her in person. She was so cute haha. To my surprise, the surgeon spoke perfect English and it turned out that he did his training in the States. The doctor spent a good 15 minutes with me discussing options and was really listening to my concerns.
I believe Oscar is more famous for eyes because I saw a few locals in the waiting area with their eyes done. I didn't end up doing any surgeries but I quite liked the overall vibe of Oscar. The doctor speaking perfect English was such a pleasant surprise too!
