I am thinking 5 very small minor moles that almost look like freckles and then a medium size mole at my chin. Dr lee suggested a week after FC. Is it bad to let it scab up after a laser removal procedure? Or is it suppose to heal like that? I've read some people say it's bad to let it scab, but they had it surgically removed, not laser treated.

Thank you for posting pics. I do see wht you are talking about. In response to your other thread, can you reach out to a craniofacial specialist to see if they will take you on? I’m sure there are doctors out there who will be willing to look at your case even if it is not due to cancer or an accident. I’m sure it can be fix. It’s going to be a long process but I think the first step is to bind your bones back together. Let it heal. Then you can do fat grafts in order to even out the bumpiness and hollow points with a plastic surgeon later.

A simple face lift won't even do anything. I had to go through bankruptcy as a result of this because I lost my job, I couldn't pay my bills and I had to consult several surgeons.

The good news is that my health insurance would cover 100% of corrective surgery to fix the malpositioned fractures. I would need hip bone grafts to close the huge gaps that that bastard created. This is a nightmare.

So, the other reason I wanted to stay in the US is because the insurance is going to pay. But, you people told me that in Korea they are experts, so, I contacted Korean clinics and they say they can do the operation, but they want lots of money. How do I know they are not lying and they are not as bad as my original surgeon? My original surgeon has a very famous clinic and yet every single craniofacial surgeon who has seen me is shocked. They say "why didn't even use plates?"Should I just kill myself? I know there are people with deformities, but, I am angry because I brought this on myself. Also, the problem with Korean clinics is that their pictures are fake, so, it's hard to gauge if one is really good or not. I am attaching again the cat scan image to remind people of what can go wrong. Look how huge the bone gaps are.

I’m sorry you are going through this. I wish you the best of luck in your search. I’m glad you are able to get it paid through insurance although it limits you to a US Surgeon. At this point, you need to do your research. Contact surgeons who specialize in craniofacial surgery that that this type of experience. I saw your other post about wanting to go to Charles Lee. I’ve spoken to someone personally who had her cheekbones reduced by him and literally did not see a difference at all. Now she is getting a revision in Korea. I don’t know if Charles Lee is the best surgeon for what you need. Please reconsider other doctors as well.

I know it is hard to look on the bright side right now but don’t give up! I’m sure it can be fixed! Just need to find the right surgeon. I will do some research and post here if I find something for you.

I'm thinking to have my first rhinoplasty at V.I.P International in Seoul, Dr. Myung Ju Lee. He recommended me either combination rhinoplasty using septum cartilage for the tip and implant on the bridge, or 100% rib cartilage rhinoplasty. I have read many blogs, articles about which one is best for my case, but not sure exactly.

But what I'm thinking is that since I will be having rhinoplasty one way or another, I have to focus on my condition upon which to base my decision between those 2 methods. Primary condition is that it's my FIRST rhinoplasty. I have never had any plastic surgeries before, so I think implant would be better. Rib is used mostly for revision rhinos where excess amount of cartilage is needed to rebuild the nose because ear and septum cartilages are not enough. That's why the doctor recommended me the implant (specially said I recommend if you don't mind foreign implant). I have read honest and good reviews about this doctor.

I want to listen other people's opinions

I had my nose done there a few years ago. Mine was a revision. Is VIP charging more than other clinics? If I were u I would consult at other places too since it is your first one. I have heard good things about other places in Korea. Dr.lee does alot of revision with rib. But he charges an arm and a leg. My nose was very big and long to begin with after surgery but has went down in size since. I am pretty happy wirh it now!

Right after I had surgery in Korea, I noticed clicking sounds in my face. It was very scary. As the swelling started coming down, I could see shadows/depressions where there are gaps and the whole face was sagging. I emailed the doctor (I had returned home, in the US) and he kept saying that it's normal, that in 25 years he never had a non-union and that I had to be patient. He also told me not to get CAT scan because I would get cancer. Every day, people who knew me, were commenting on how much older I looked. I am not exaggerating, I look 15 years older after this surgery because of the sagging, the unnatural contours and the shadows and the periosteoum damage. I then went to another doctor in the US who told me to immediately get a CAT scan. I got the cat scan and I saw the damage. Huge gaps in my bones, dislocation, midface descent, bone resportion. I cannot tell you how devastated I was. Now I understand why that bastard didn't want me to get a cat scan: a cat scan showed how horrible the surgery went. I felt so so so depressed and to this day, I do. I haven't used make up anymore since that day, haven't gone to a hair salon since I can't look at my face anymore.

Do you think there is a surgeon in the US who can fix this? I have consulted craniofacial surgeons who do major reconstructions for patients with trauma, bones missing after accidents, etc, but they see they have never seen a case like this.

As for Dr. Lee, I saw him a couple of times for botox, he was very good with the botox but he seems to rush patients. I want to see if he can fix me, but, how do I know if he is being honest? I have had a horrible horrible horrible experience in Korea and know many other patients who got similar experiences. Some of them disappeared and I am afraid they might have committed suicide.

I’ve heard really bad things about Charles’s Lee. I don’t think he can fix your issues. He can’t even perform a new case correctly . He is good at marketing , but lacks the skillset to perform the surgery. You should look into revision specialists and craniofacial surgeons. I’ve heard good things about Dr. Lee from The face dental. Maybe contact him and see what he says.

How many moths post op are you? Nose can be swollen for a really long time. What is wrong with the nose when you smile now?

My recovery is good, the first few days is awful and after that is smooth sailing besides the puffed up face and some numbness.

I'm not comfortable with before and after pictures sorry >< and I don't know how noticeable they are. I actually showed some of my friends (they didn't believe I had v line) my before pictures and they didn't even notice a difference.. They just thought I lost weight or grew into my features. So yea results are very very natural. The important thing is I notice the changes and I am happy with them!

I didn't sag at all. In fact I kinda feel like my fat and muscles defied gravity and moved up a little? Dr Lee told me this would happen so that's cool

I have a metal screw from genioplasty. I believe Dr Lee offers dissolvable screws but I didn't get any (I wish I did but it's not like I notice the metal ones anyway)

I had vline surgery exactly a year ago, my double chin got worse and i have some extra fat left on my lower jawline. It does bother me but not like a lot, i still want to get rid of it but i wouldn't want to go back to my incredibly older asymmetric chin/jaw.

But also my chin still does not feel healed and it's still kind of sensitive. At this point i sometimes worry about them not healing at all past this point

I did FC at view with dr. Yun as well in may. Right after surgery Dr. Yun went to see me, but if you’re worried about something you should request to see him. My experience is that view will try to help you as much if you have any specific needs ^^

Initially it was difficult choosing clinics because there are tons of choices. Contacted tons of clinics like tfd, TL, view, Bk and did tons of research. Eventually I had it narrowed down to EU because they are one of the oral maxillofacial clinics and I heard the Dr Shin/Dr Kim can both perform dramatic and natural results. Also they perform only one surgery a day which is very crucial because this will result in no chances of fatigue hence lesser room for mistakes.

On the day of face to face consultation with Dr Shin, I prepared a list of questions and bought a compilation of pretty face shapes I wish to achieve.

Initially I was afraid there will be language barrier but there's a very lovable in-house English communicator/translator. Thanks to her I feel more at ease because my questions and facial preferences were smoothly conveyed to the Doctor. They also wrote everything down on paper from my ideal facial shape to make sure they got everything right. The doctor also explained to me what I should realistically expect, and made sure all of my questions were answered in full.

They are extremely patient with me so I was set to have surgery at EU the next day.

Had my CT scans, xray, blood and urine test done relatively fast on the same day as consultation. But fast forward to night before the surgery, I was getting nervous and worried that the Docter might forget my preference.

So on the date of surgery, I consulted Dr Shin again, he drew some guidelines on my face and indication where my current jawbone is located. Once I was reassured that we are on the same page. The consultants gave me forms to sign and gave me their set of patient clothings to change.

The surgery doesn't hurt at all on
Day 1.

When I woke up, post op was like nothing what others described. It almost seems like I just came out from a simple surgery, no pain, discomfort or burning sensation on my jaw. Even the swelling and blood lost is very minimal. Also they did not insert any blood tube drainage in my throat. I was really surprised. I also tried moving my face in certain directions to see how my nerves were and could feel my entire face so I was really relieved! The only downside I had is abit of sorethroat and have to wait to drink water.

On day 2 to 7 days onwards my face started swelling like crazy. It will probably happen to you too especially if you ask for dramatic results. Hence you really need to mentally prepare yourself because it will be nothing you've imagined. You will be unrecognizable as your eyes will turn smaller and lips will expand 5times it's original size till it crack constantly. It is also important to leave the house to walk everyday for at least an hour to deswell..

Fast forward to my recovery period, I can talk properly only on Day 13. And able to eat to soft food starting on 3 weeks post op. Now I can eat every meat except for steak.

I'm also able to fit 3 fingers in without any difficulties. Everything is going well so far except for my double chin as my cheeks are quite chubby. Im still waiting for my face to deswell completely and I heard it will take up to a year.

But overall I'm very grateful and thankful to have surgery at EU.
