SpringBean Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I have lost 65% of my hair and my scalp is showing too much. I just don't feel feminine anymore because of it. I was looking into options for hair transplants for women. It seems like Korea may be the place to go. Has anyone had experience with this? Do you know of any clinics? 1 Quote
LupinBB81 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I am not entirely sure about this but you can look at the top-rated clinics and see if they offer this. I did see something about Korea looking to have hair loss be covered as a medical treatment instead of an elected surgery for Koreans which is pretty cool! 1 Quote
davespears47 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Aren't transplants for women a bit more complicated? Like how women tend to lose hair is thinning all over vs men that bald mostly on the top. I hope you find someone that can do it for you! My sister had trouble. No doctor would do it for her cause the success rate was too low. 1 Quote
melwinters Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Dr. Sangyun Hyeon is said to be one of the best. He is at the Woomchan clinic. I am not sure if they offer transplants for women but you can contact them and ask! 1 Quote

I am struggling to find ones that specifically state they are for women that is why I wanted to ask here. 1 Quote

It seems to be a surgery that is more common in men which makes sense as men suffer from a different kind of balding. Women tend to thin out hair all over making them less suitable for these sorts of treatments and operations. You'd have to make sure your scalp and hair health as well as density is right. A knowledgeable doctor will be able to help! Quote
