  1. I would say 95% of the time, no. But some surgeries do require follow-up work. This is something that would be discussed with the surgeon ahead of time. Like if they say they need to do an operation, allow time to heal, and then do a second one. This is rare though.
  2. I don't see very many people asking this but I think it is a question most people have. I want to compile a bit of a resource page for people to look over since I am fairly active in the beauty space online, and I know there is a growing number of people going to Korea for work. What credentials should be looked into for foreign patients when determining the best clinic?
  3. I would think most surgeons sway this way considering the bulk of their clients are going to be local. However, if she wants a place that specifically offers Korean-style surgeries for foreigners, Vava PS seems like a clinic she might be interested in. It is more of a specialty clinic than a bone hospital. It is a good idea to research the clinic before deciding though. I have not looked into this one very much but I do know I have seen others recommend it for this style of surgery.
  4. There are other clinics as well. This is just one example. I figured I would share at least one so everyone reading the thread can get an idea of what to look for when it comes to non-surgical options in Korea. There are a fair bit of them but some of these services are within actual surgery clinics themselves too.
  5. You shouldn't feel self-conscious in an area like this. Plastic surgery is so "of the norm" that people won't think anything of it if you are walking around with swelling. I would focus more on how you feel than how you look. Assuming the after care is good, you should be able to feel well enough to enjoy your trip and not feel the need to stay in your hotel the whole time. Yup! I have seen videos on YouTube of people going there for work. It is normal and no one cares.
  6. Based on what I have looked into in terms of clinics that focus on more natural looking surgeries, Note Plastic Surgery might be a good fit for you. They aren't a big clinic and it is more "spa like". They appear to mainly focus on breast surgeries, nose and eye surgeries, and face contouring. The clinic's location is in the Gangnam district of Seoul.
  7. I know, I just want to make sure people know all their options as laser costs and other options like this can add up fast. It is not always ideal to travel that far to get treatment either.
  8. No experience for me. I don't like traveling with my kids. I did it once and it was within the country but it was a short plane ride away to visit family. I will never do it again! LOL Some kids do fine but it seems like most kids don't but mine were very young. You likely won't have issues with older kids.
  9. I don't want to pull you away from seeking out better options but are you sure you tried EVERYTHING? I had a friend who thought she did. Ivermectin (Solantra), azelaic acid, sulfur, zinc, etc. etc. but she never tried niacinamide. I actually got her buying a Korean ointment I use for adult acne and it got her rosacea under control so much in under 2 weeks she doesn't even wear make-up anymore. If you are curious it is called Dr.Althea 345 Relief Cream. Might be worth trying
  10. It sucks cause I don't really see people talking about this online a lot either. I am wondering if this is normal or if I was getting brushed off and need to find a better clinic or something.
  11. End of July? I wouldn't worry about doing anything with your trip until you are closer to the date. Even planning ahead for tourist stuff. Unless you want to book something in advance so you don't miss out that is. A lot can change in a few months.
  12. I think you can use them to can an idea of the work the clinics have done but you shouldn't base your decision on them. I have seen a fair number of them that are obviously faked. Like they used AI or something idk.
  13. How long were they? I am curious as I had one recently and I swear it went a lot faster than I thought. I was only on a video chat for maybe 7 minutes. I figured it would be at least a 20 to 30 minute thing but I guess they are busy.
  14. There are some cards you can apply for that reward you for spending during travel too, so you can earn cash back. Try and find something like that, especially if you are going to end up using it to cover part of the cost of the surgery or anything more expensive.
  15. If you are concerned about costs, you can do a breakdown of the average vacation cost for the region and then add on the surgery costs to that. You could also look into getting a credit card to bring with you as a back-up. I have done this when traveling.
