Yup I previously discussed quite a bit about Braun PS back in the Plastic Surgery Clinics in Korea thread and even posted some B&A from their site. You need membership to view the B&A btw. Just use google translate and all you need is an email to sign up.

Your friend is right about Braun's reputation amongst the locals for nose. They're also quite known for eyes and jaw too. They're on my shortlist atm but I found out they're quite a large clinic and sometimes the doc doesn't have enough time for you so I'm still considering them

Edit: i also forgot to add. Braun has a large team of doctors and when i researched them there are some docs who do very fake noses (pointy, straight, obvious implant and all, every patient looks the same) while others (the head doc whose name i forgot lol) can achieve very natural noses tailored to each individual's needs. same goes for eyes. braun has some surgeons who are very skilled with natural looking parallel eyelids which is what i'm going for. so remember to choose your surgeon carefully!

i had Non-Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery in Dream in July of 2018, it feels like it hasn't even been that long haha.

i flew to seoul from shanghai with my mom (was visiting family there) without having consulted any clinics. i'd only researched clinics i was planning on consulting with mainly on purseforum and realself. i didn't really have a plan and i only went there with knowledge of clinics that had a good reputation and the doctors that specialized in DES at each clinic i was going to consult with. anyways, this wasn't a good idea, it's really important to schedule a consultation/consult online and have a plan before you fly to korea for surgery.

when i got to korea, my mom and i settled into an airbnb for one night and then decided stayed at a hotel that we had booked prior to the visit, for the rest of our visit (which was 10 days). the day after i arrived, my mom and i looked up the locations of the clinics i wanted to consult with, and we rode the bus and subway around to each of the clinics.

the clinics i consulted with for DES were MVP, Dream, Banobagi, Opera, GNG, and Teium (had to call off the consultation because they didn't have an in-house translator). all of the clinics above had in-house translators, except for Teium. they were all quite busy with the exception of Teium, so i had to wait for a consultation since i didn't have an appointment booked beforehand. MVP almost didn't have time to do a consultation with me since Dr. Seo was booked with surgeries that day.

Overall Impressions:

MVP:

i walked in and had to wait quite a while for Dr. Seo to have time to do a consultation with me, but the lobby wasn't really packed overall (only like one other person and a group of two people were there, so three total other than me and my mom). Dr. Seo didn't speak any english, but he seemed very nice and patient and the in-house translator translated everything for us. she was also very kind. Dr. Seo was very honest about what he could do for me. i had uneven double eyelids and i wanted to get rid of the extra line between my eye and the eyelid on my left eye. Dr. Seo told me that i wouldn't be able to get rid of it, but that he could even out both my double eyelids and that the DES would make the extra line much less visible (this is normal, a lot of people have an extra line on their double eyelids but you just can't see them sometimes because they're almost not visible unless you look very hard). Dr. Seo also offered advice on what kind of double eyelids i should get (tapered), because it would look better on me, but i preferred parallel. the translator was also very honest, since i was 17 at the time, she told me that i should only do the surgery if i was ready and that i had plenty of time to decide whether or not i wanted to get it, since i was young. i really appreciated her commentary.

my quote for Incisional DES + Ptosis Correction was around 3 million won (roughly $3000).

Dream:

dream was very, very busy when i arrived. they said they could do a consultation with me for Dr. Park, but like MVP, i also had to wait. they told me to come back in about 45 minutes to an hour. i went down to the first floor to grab some McDonalds with my mom (yes, i had McDonalds in korea, lol). when i got back, i had my consultation with Dr. Park. he wasn't very expressive and he didn't say much in korean. they had an in-house translator as well, who translated for both of us. i didn't really feel any negative or positive feelings about my consultation with Dr. Park. it was kind of rushed to be honest, but he was very straightforward and when i described to him specifically what i wanted, he said he could do it. this is partly why i ended up choosing him, because his vision was closest to my aesthetic vision of what i wanted. i was quoted only 1 million won for Non-Incisional DES, apparently they had a sale going on or something. the price was also partially why i chose to go with Dream.

i don't remember much about my consultation, i wasn't really deciding on going for Banobagi before i arrived since it doesn't get a ton of love from purseforum users, but i wanted to see what it was all about since youtubers go there for plastic surgery. overall, it was okay. they assigned me a doctor to consult with, who was apparently a DES expert (don't know if true or false). i don't remember who it was. the price they quoted me was pretty high compared to the rest and since i didn't plan on doing my DES there in the first place i really just didn't consider the clinic after that. they quoted me like 3.5 million to 4 million won i think, idr. the doctor i met with and the translator were both really nice though, and they did some scans on me and took pictures. the other clinics took pictures but didn't do any scans. anyways, i don't remember much of the visit. i didn't really get any glaring red flags, the clinic was just not for me because they quoted me pretty high (it wasn't that much higher though). overall, the translator and doctor were both quite nice and patient and listened to me, but the clinic just wasn't for me. that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a chance though!

welp, i went into this clinic was an overall good impression because i've heard good things about it on this website, buttttt..

when i walked in, there were like two other people there. pretty empty, but there was still a bit of a significant wait time for the translator and doctor. anyways, i don't remember much from this clinic either since it was a while ago but i do remember the impression the translator left on me, oh boy. the doctor was overall pretty nice, he showed me pictures of patients that he'd worked on in the past and his DES work looked like it was very good. when i was talking to him, he suggested that i get a lower crease for my DES as the higher it was, the more it would look puffy/swollen (i should have listened to him, he was right). however, as i was telling him about my own aesthetic view, in a quite polite manner, the translator seemed to get more and more annoyed. she seemed very friendly at first but as i was talking about my view, she kept insisting that the doctor knew best and that a higher crease would look bad. i really do appreciate the doctor, because he was trying to suggest an aesthetic view that he thought would suit me and he was very honest about how a higher crease would look swollen/puffy. he was patient with me while i was explaining what i wanted, it was just the translator who seemed a bit impatient. anyways, they quoted me the second lowest price, 1.5 million won, for Non-Incisional DES. I remember the translator saying after this something along the lines of, "I know you've visited other clinics before us, and I know this is probably the lowest offer you've gotten, right?" she explicitly boasted that her offer was probably the lowest offer i'd gotten (which it wasn't) like she was very proud of it and thought i'd take it right away. she tried to insist that i book the time-slot for my surgery right away, since apparently it was supposed to be a super good deal (it was but, you know). i didn't like her attitude where she tried to insist that i get my surgery that day, i even told her i wanted to think about it, but she kept saying that the later i decide the less spots there will be or something like that. overall, didn't like the translator's attitude at all. the doctor was nice but she really ruined it for me because it felt like 1. she was pushing me to get the surgery, and 2. she seemed kind of annoyed when i was explaining my aesthetic view to the doctor.

GNG:

so i visited here because i actually wanted a consultation for my nose as well, but figured i'd get a consultation for DES at the same time, since that's what i was in korea for mainly.

lobby had quite a few people, not packed though. i met two doctors, both went well. the DES doctor suggested that i get an Epicanthoplasty with my DES though, which no other doctor suggested thus far. but it made sense why he suggested it, my eyes are just a tad bit far apart, so i guess that was just his aesthetic view. i could have refused, but i wasn't really serious about getting DES at GNG, i just wanted to hear his suggestions on what i should get done. doctors were nice and super friendly, as always, except for Dr. Park at Dream (he was just kind of stoic and super busy, not rude or mean). translator was kind of stoic. i don't know, she just gave me a bit of an off-vibe like the translator at Opera, but not as bad. she wasn't really nice or mean. they quoted me around 3.5-3.8 million won for the DES + Epi, i think. i don't remember if they wanted to do a Ptosis Correction.

Teium:

i walked in and they didn't have an in-house english translator so it was me awkwardly standing there while they tried to speak korean to me until i answered in english and they managed to convey that they don't speak english there. there was no one in the lobby, just me and my mom. we left, lol.


Final Decision:

i booked my surgery for Dream because my mom really liked the doctor there for some reason, apparently because he was old and that meant more experience on his part?? idk. also, i chose him because he said he could do everything i asked for. when i was there i'd asked if he could remove some of the excess fat on my eyelids and if he could do a parallel crease, both of which he agreed to, only for him to tell me the day of the surgery that removing the excess fat wouldn't be possible. also, when i was there they told me that i'd be put under sedation for the numbing shot near my eye, but when i called to book my surgery a day later, they told me that they don't usually do that for DES, so i had to specifically request it since i'm really afraid of needles near my eye. they agreed to do it.

Experience:

on the day of the surgery, i was lead to a changing room, where i had to wash my face to make sure there was no makeup on my face (i had none on but i had to do it anyways), and change into a pair of hospital scrubs and slippers. after that, i waited in the waiting room for a little bit and signed my contract, which was in english. there was no blood test for a minor surgery like DES, so i didn't have a blood test, but they weighed me before the surgery. the translator then handed me my antibiotics i was supposed to take, and instructed me on how and when to take them after the surgery.

after that, i was lead upstairs to another tiny waiting area right before the surgery rooms. i was lead into an area which contained all the surgery rooms after a short wait, and then into Dr. Park's own office. there, i consulted with him one last time before the surgery and i told him what i wanted and showed him a few pictures too, which he didn't really look at for long, but he said he got the idea. in the surgery room, i actually wasn't that nervous, except for when they inserted the iv for sedation into the back of my hand (i'm afraid of needles). the iv doesn't start right away, as we have to wait for the doctor for a little bit. the nurses sanitize my face and we wait for the doctor while they chat in korean. the translator was there with me for a bit but left once Dr. Park arrived a bit later. Dr. Park drew on my eyelids and the sedation started to kick in and that was that. i didn't notice myself going under and Dr. Park didn't show me what he drew on my eyelids before i'd gone under. during the course of the surgery, he'd wake me up so i'd open my eyes and he could check the crease and see if it needed adjusting, and i'd try to talk to him and try to take in my surroundings when he would wake me up, but i was way too drugged up to do that. after what i think was about an hour or so of weird trips from the sedation, i woke up feeling extremely groggy and i wasn't aware of anything going on. my vision was really screwed up so the nurses helped me get into a wheelchair and wheeled me into a room with a bed and then just plopped me on the bed. i'd tried to talk to them in english while they were wheeling me but i remember them saying that they didn't speak english or something. they left after getting me into the bed and i just waited there for a bit. i felt no actual pain at all, just a lot of soreness from my eyelids. it wasn't bad at all, except for the fact that i felt like i was going to throw up. after a bit, nurses escort my mom into the room and a nurse takes out my iv. i'm starting to sober up now and i feel really sick. the translator pops in to tell us we're free to leave when we want, so i lie there for a little bit longer and then my mom helps me get up and we walk out of the clinic.

Results:
my results were actually really good once i healed up. the eyelids were what i asked for, but i did end up feeling like the crease was a little too high, even though it was pretty much what i'd asked for. it just didn't suit me too well. also, even after the swelling has subsided, my crease is kind of puffy, but it's really not noticeable. i researched this and i figured out that i probably should have gotten Ptosis Correction. without getting Ptosis Correction, i kind of have extra fat where my crease it, giving it a bit of a puffy look at times. i feel like Dr. Park should have recommended this to me, but overall he did pretty much what i asked him to, i should have just done more research on what i needed. i'm probably going back to seoul this year to get a rhinoplasty and a DES correction so i can have less sleepy-looking eyes.

MVP:

i walked in and had to wait quite a while for Dr. Seo to have time to do a consultation with me, but the lobby wasn't really packed overall (only like one other person and a group of two people were there, so three total other than me and my mom). Dr. Seo didn't speak any english, but he seemed very nice and patient and the in-house translator translated everything for us. she was also very kind. Dr. Seo was very honest about what he could do for me. i had uneven double eyelids and i wanted to get rid of the extra line between my eye and the eyelid on my left eye. Dr. Seo told me that i wouldn't be able to get rid of it, but that he could even out both my double eyelids and that the DES would make the extra line much less visible (this is normal, a lot of people have an extra line on their double eyelids but you just can't see them sometimes because they're almost not visible unless you look very hard). Dr. Seo also offered advice on what kind of double eyelids i should get (tapered), because it would look better on me, but i preferred parallel. the translator was also very honest, since i was 17 at the time, she told me that i should only do the surgery if i was ready and that i had plenty of time to decide whether or not i wanted to get it, since i was young. i really appreciated her commentary.

my quote for Incisional DES + Ptosis Correction was around 3 million won (roughly $3000).

Dream:

dream was very, very busy when i arrived. they said they could do a consultation with me for Dr. Park, but like MVP, i also had to wait. they told me to come back in about 45 minutes to an hour. i went down to the first floor to grab some McDonalds with my mom (yes, i had McDonalds in korea, lol). when i got back, i had my consultation with Dr. Park. he wasn't very expressive and he didn't say much in korean. they had an in-house translator as well, who translated for both of us. i didn't really feel any negative or positive feelings about my consultation with Dr. Park. it was kind of rushed to be honest, but he was very straightforward and when i described to him specifically what i wanted, he said he could do it. this is partly why i ended up choosing him, because his vision was closest to my aesthetic vision of what i wanted. i was quoted only 1 million won for Non-Incisional DES, apparently they had a sale going on or something. the price was also partially why i chose to go with Dream.

anyways, not a very strong impression from Dream. it wasn't bad by any means, maybe it was a bit rushed because they were busy, but Dr. Park wasn't unfriendly or anything and he was very straightforward with what he was going to do and he explained why Non-Incisional was better than Incisional DES for me. i'm not sure if he said this because he only performs Non-Incisional DES, but oh well. the translator also explained the process that i would go through if i were to book my surgery with them. the doctor and translator were both very thorough and good at explaining, which i liked, but maybe i should have been more wary that they didn't really tell me what was possible and what was not and just agreed to doing everything i wanted (more on this later). also, the translator was very kind and i had a very good overall impression of her.

Banobagi:

i arrived just as they'd opened and already a few people had come in after me only after about 10 minutes of me arriving. they said i had to book a consultation, so i booked it for the next day.

i don't remember much about my consultation, i wasn't really deciding on going for Banobagi before i arrived since it doesn't get a ton of love from purseforum users, but i wanted to see what it was all about since youtubers go there for plastic surgery. overall, it was okay. they assigned me a doctor to consult with, who was apparently a DES expert (don't know if true or false). i don't remember who it was. the price they quoted me was pretty high compared to the rest and since i didn't plan on doing my DES there in the first place i really just didn't consider the clinic after that. they quoted me like 3.5 million to 4 million won i think, idr. the doctor i met with and the translator were both really nice though, and they did some scans on me and took pictures. the other clinics took pictures but didn't do any scans. anyways, i don't remember much of the visit. i didn't really get any glaring red flags, the clinic was just not for me because they quoted me pretty high (it wasn't that much higher though). overall, the translator and doctor were both quite nice and patient and listened to me, but the clinic just wasn't for me. that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a chance though!

Opera:
welp, i went into this clinic was an overall good impression because i've heard good things about it on this website, buttttt..

when i walked in, there were like two other people there. pretty empty, but there was still a bit of a significant wait time for the translator and doctor. anyways, i don't remember much from this clinic either since it was a while ago but i do remember the impression the translator left on me, oh boy. the doctor was overall pretty nice, he showed me pictures of patients that he'd worked on in the past and his DES work looked like it was very good. when i was talking to him, he suggested that i get a lower crease for my DES as the higher it was, the more it would look puffy/swollen (i should have listened to him, he was right). however, as i was telling him about my own aesthetic view, in a quite polite manner, the translator seemed to get more and more annoyed. she seemed very friendly at first but as i was talking about my view, she kept insisting that the doctor knew best and that a higher crease would look bad. i really do appreciate the doctor, because he was trying to suggest an aesthetic view that he thought would suit me and he was very honest about how a higher crease would look swollen/puffy. he was patient with me while i was explaining what i wanted, it was just the translator who seemed a bit impatient. anyways, they quoted me the second lowest price, 1.5 million won, for Non-Incisional DES. I remember the translator saying after this something along the lines of, "I know you've visited other clinics before us, and I know this is probably the lowest offer you've gotten, right?" she explicitly boasted that her offer was probably the lowest offer i'd gotten (which it wasn't) like she was very proud of it and thought i'd take it right away. she tried to insist that i book the time-slot for my surgery right away, since apparently it was supposed to be a super good deal (it was but, you know). i didn't like her attitude where she tried to insist that i get my surgery that day, i even told her i wanted to think about it, but she kept saying that the later i decide the less spots there will be or something like that. overall, didn't like the translator's attitude at all. the doctor was nice but she really ruined it for me because it felt like 1. she was pushing me to get the surgery, and 2. she seemed kind of annoyed when i was explaining my aesthetic view to the doctor.

GNG:

so i visited here because i actually wanted a consultation for my nose as well, but figured i'd get a consultation for DES at the same time, since that's what i was in korea for mainly.

lobby had quite a few people, not packed though. i met two doctors, both went well. the DES doctor suggested that i get an Epicanthoplasty with my DES though, which no other doctor suggested thus far. but it made sense why he suggested it, my eyes are just a tad bit far apart, so i guess that was just his aesthetic view. i could have refused, but i wasn't really serious about getting DES at GNG, i just wanted to hear his suggestions on what i should get done. doctors were nice and super friendly, as always, except for Dr. Park at Dream (he was just kind of stoic and super busy, not rude or mean). translator was kind of stoic. i don't know, she just gave me a bit of an off-vibe like the translator at Opera, but not as bad. she wasn't really nice or mean. they quoted me around 3.5-3.8 million won for the DES + Epi, i think. i don't remember if they wanted to do a Ptosis Correction.

Teium:

i walked in and they didn't have an in-house english translator so it was me awkwardly standing there while they tried to speak korean to me until i answered in english and they managed to convey that they don't speak english there. there was no one in the lobby, just me and my mom. we left, lol.


Final Decision:

i booked my surgery for Dream because my mom really liked the doctor there for some reason, apparently because he was old and that meant more experience on his part?? idk. also, i chose him because he said he could do everything i asked for. when i was there i'd asked if he could remove some of the excess fat on my eyelids and if he could do a parallel crease, both of which he agreed to, only for him to tell me the day of the surgery that removing the excess fat wouldn't be possible. also, when i was there they told me that i'd be put under sedation for the numbing shot near my eye, but when i called to book my surgery a day later, they told me that they don't usually do that for DES, so i had to specifically request it since i'm really afraid of needles near my eye. they agreed to do it.

Experience:

on the day of the surgery, i was lead to a changing room, where i had to wash my face to make sure there was no makeup on my face (i had none on but i had to do it anyways), and change into a pair of hospital scrubs and slippers. after that, i waited in the waiting room for a little bit and signed my contract, which was in english. there was no blood test for a minor surgery like DES, so i didn't have a blood test, but they weighed me before the surgery. the translator then handed me my antibiotics i was supposed to take, and instructed me on how and when to take them after the surgery.

after that, i was lead upstairs to another tiny waiting area right before the surgery rooms. i was lead into an area which contained all the surgery rooms after a short wait, and then into Dr. Park's own office. there, i consulted with him one last time before the surgery and i told him what i wanted and showed him a few pictures too, which he didn't really look at for long, but he said he got the idea. in the surgery room, i actually wasn't that nervous, except for when they inserted the iv for sedation into the back of my hand (i'm afraid of needles). the iv doesn't start right away, as we have to wait for the doctor for a little bit. the nurses sanitize my face and we wait for the doctor while they chat in korean. the translator was there with me for a bit but left once Dr. Park arrived a bit later. Dr. Park drew on my eyelids and the sedation started to kick in and that was that. i didn't notice myself going under and Dr. Park didn't show me what he drew on my eyelids before i'd gone under. during the course of the surgery, he'd wake me up so i'd open my eyes and he could check the crease and see if it needed adjusting, and i'd try to talk to him and try to take in my surroundings when he would wake me up, but i was way too drugged up to do that. after what i think was about an hour or so of weird trips from the sedation, i woke up feeling extremely groggy and i wasn't aware of anything going on. my vision was really screwed up so the nurses helped me get into a wheelchair and wheeled me into a room with a bed and then just plopped me on the bed. i'd tried to talk to them in english while they were wheeling me but i remember them saying that they didn't speak english or something. they left after getting me into the bed and i just waited there for a bit. i felt no actual pain at all, just a lot of soreness from my eyelids. it wasn't bad at all, except for the fact that i felt like i was going to throw up. after a bit, nurses escort my mom into the room and a nurse takes out my iv. i'm starting to sober up now and i feel really sick. the translator pops in to tell us we're free to leave when we want, so i lie there for a little bit longer and then my mom helps me get up and we walk out of the clinic.

Results:
my results were actually really good once i healed up. the eyelids were what i asked for, but i did end up feeling like the crease was a little too high, even though it was pretty much what i'd asked for. it just didn't suit me too well. also, even after the swelling has subsided, my crease is kind of puffy, but it's really not noticeable. i researched this and i figured out that i probably should have gotten Ptosis Correction. without getting Ptosis Correction, i kind of have extra fat where my crease it, giving it a bit of a puffy look at times. i feel like Dr. Park should have recommended this to me, but overall he did pretty much what i asked him to, i should have just done more research on what i needed. i'm probably going back to seoul this year to get a rhinoplasty and a DES correction so i can have less sleepy-looking eyes.

I have tried to revive the thread on Smitten Litten experience.
Here is my long story:
1. First Surgery was performed in Almaty, Kazakhstan, when I was around 20 at maxillofacial clinic. Surgeons removed all fat tissue leaving the extra skin drooping above the eyes. I was their training object and at that time did not realize anything about professional approach in PS.
2. Second surgery performed in 2012 by "famous" Dr. Charles Lee, from Beverly Hills, LA, California. He highly recommended to add a browlift to refresh my face + open my eyes more, as he said. The result was very bad: the eyes different size, ptosis was not corrected, shapes of eyes are not attractive. My eyes look more "hooded" and tired which makes me look old. My inner corners are not done well either. I have seen the result of the botched surgery immediately after the dressing was removed. My inner corners are very different: one corner is hidden another is open, which I felt ok about, BUT the most important, to me (!!!) that my outer corners are very drooped, giving to my whole face pretty tired, exhausted expression. The amount of sleep affects my eyes definitely, but even if I sleep 10+ hours my face still looks very tired because of the botched surgeries, times two! I have made so-called "French" permanent make-up on my eyes 3 times, where the white line goes over the black eyeliner. It has enlarged my eyes and improved my whole facial expression slightly.
Also since my ptosis isn't fixed I find myself using my eyebrows to lift my kids and make my eyes bigger my top lids (hoods) cannot lift up as if it's anchored down and my lids are glued. To keep my eyes open I ALWAYS have to lift my eyebrows, which gives my face slightly surprised facial expression. But at least my eyes do not look so old and tired, sleepy.

• My goals, and treatment that are my interest: 1. Eyes: Revisional Incisional DES, ptosis correction, lateral epicanthoplasty, removal of scars under brows. I very much admire the cat-eye shape, where the outer corner goes up. For my second PS I was saving money for many years, therefore the botched results were very devastating to me. I was very depressed for a long time. And was saving money for the second revision. I asked American surgeon to make the shape of my eyes as of Lucy Liu, He promised it to me, but have done a horrible job! 2. Cheeks' lift or facial fat redistribution to soften the nasolabial folds. 3. Possibly rhinoplasty to straighten up my nose hump and narrowing my nose and tip plasty to make it more pointy, elegant.

My cousin has made blepharoplasty in Asia. Doctor cut skin under her brows. The effect is horrible and she is looking for revision as well. I live and work in Florida.
I work as a surgery nurse for about 6 years and would like very much to find the highly professional surgeon, who can tell what is possibly/impossible to make for my face honestly without attempts of selling additional unnecessary surgeries as it has happened in the US.

Based on Purse Forum I have made plans to go to MVP because they are specializing on eyes AND nose. I have seen Youtube of JW - amazing! I would like to have all surgeries to be done in one clinic.

YES, I have done two revisions in Korea. First one was done at Wonjin. And I needed to stop. I had lateral cantoplasty year later. And I regret. I have developed serious dry eye. I cannot wear contacts now and since my eyeasight is very bad I wear thick glasses and regret about lateral cantoplasty...

Sure. My upper lid not balance and lower was drooping with wrinkles as I suffer retraction. The upper and lower lid Revision was done well and natural by Dr. Kang from JW. He even gave me an extra love band without cost! a very reliable good doctor.
at first it was confusing as if not balance lower love band but you Need to wait 2 -3 months and they eyes will be balance and very natural. I am 57 and like asian eyes shape. He did slight EPI to increase the size as I was afraid that the lower lids with SOOF, my eyes will appear smaller so I requested EPI too. He did a great Job!

this could be done on same day without Problem. I did in JW within a day. Nose Revision and upper and lower lid Revision and thread lift. you Need to rest after each procedure but could be done.

If any of you have ageing mums who want to look less tired, have them look into upper lid fat grafting with incisional DES. I found this on the net. It makes such a difference! I had hollowed eye sulci from ageing too and Dr Seo at MVP made me look decades younger for a lot less than in America. I wish I had known about lid fat grafting a decade ago!

i flew to seoul from shanghai with my mom (was visiting family there) without having consulted any clinics. i'd only researched clinics i was planning on consulting with mainly on purseforum and realself. i didn't really have a plan and i only went there with knowledge of clinics that had a good reputation and the doctors that specialized in DES at each clinic i was going to consult with. anyways, this wasn't a good idea, it's really important to schedule a consultation/consult online and have a plan before you fly to korea for surgery.

when i got to korea, my mom and i settled into an airbnb for one night and then decided stayed at a hotel that we had booked prior to the visit, for the rest of our visit (which was 10 days). the day after i arrived, my mom and i looked up the locations of the clinics i wanted to consult with, and we rode the bus and subway around to each of the clinics.

the clinics i consulted with for DES were MVP, Dream, Banobagi, Opera, GNG, and Teium (had to call off the consultation because they didn't have an in-house translator). all of the clinics above had in-house translators, except for Teium. they were all quite busy with the exception of Teium, so i had to wait for a consultation since i didn't have an appointment booked beforehand. MVP almost didn't have time to do a consultation with me since Dr. Seo was booked with surgeries that day.

after that, i was lead upstairs to another tiny waiting area right before the surgery rooms. i was lead into an area which contained all the surgery rooms after a short wait, and then into Dr. Park's own office. there, i consulted with him one last time before the surgery and i told him what i wanted and showed him a few pictures too, which he didn't really look at for long, but he said he got the idea. in the surgery room, i actually wasn't that nervous, except for when they inserted the iv for sedation into the back of my hand (i'm afraid of needles). the iv doesn't start right away, as we have to wait for the doctor for a little bit. the nurses sanitize my face and we wait for the doctor while they chat in korean. the translator was there with me for a bit but left once Dr. Park arrived a bit later. Dr. Park drew on my eyelids and the sedation started to kick in and that was that. i didn't notice myself going under and Dr. Park didn't show me what he drew on my eyelids before i'd gone under. during the course of the surgery, he'd wake me up so i'd open my eyes and he could check the crease and see if it needed adjusting, and i'd try to talk to him and try to take in my surroundings when he would wake me up, but i was way too drugged up to do that. after what i think was about an hour or so of weird trips from the sedation, i woke up feeling extremely groggy and i wasn't aware of anything going on. my vision was really screwed up so the nurses helped me get into a wheelchair and wheeled me into a room with a bed and then just plopped me on the bed. i'd tried to talk to them in english while they were wheeling me but i remember them saying that they didn't speak english or something. they left after getting me into the bed and i just waited there for a bit. i felt no actual pain at all, just a lot of soreness from my eyelids. it wasn't bad at all, except for the fact that i felt like i was going to throw up. after a bit, nurses escort my mom into the room and a nurse takes out my iv. i'm starting to sober up now and i feel really sick. the translator pops in to tell us we're free to leave when we want, so i lie there for a little bit longer and then my mom helps me get up and we walk out of the clinic.

Results:
my results were actually really good once i healed up. the eyelids were what i asked for, but i did end up feeling like the crease was a little too high, even though it was pretty much what i'd asked for. it just didn't suit me too well. also, even after the swelling has subsided, my crease is kind of puffy, but it's really not noticeable. i researched this and i figured out that i probably should have gotten Ptosis Correction. without getting Ptosis Correction, i kind of have extra fat where my crease it, giving it a bit of a puffy look at times. i feel like Dr. Park should have recommended this to me, but overall he did pretty much what i asked him to, i should have just done more research on what i needed. i'm probably going back to seoul this year to get a rhinoplasty and a DES correction so i can have less sleepy-looking eyes.

Can someone with experience tell me the difference between incisional and nonincisional DES? Is it true nonincisional DES has a higher rate of coming undone? I heard it could be up to 5-7 years before the eyelids need to be redone sometimes. I always thought DES was a permanent procedure.
