Virtual consultations?
LupinBB81 replied to berrygirl21's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
How long were they? I am curious as I had one recently and I swear it went a lot faster than I thought. I was only on a video chat for maybe 7 minutes. I figured it would be at least a 20 to 30 minute thing but I guess they are busy. - Yesterday

How to choose a clinic/hospital/doctor?
KiWiP replied to Novacrite's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I remember seeing something (I think it may have been on reddit?) about how you can hire a local to help guide you through the process. They will actually go to clinics on your behalf, film the area, talk to the doctors, etc. which can be helpful. I am not sure what they are called or how to find them though! -
It has been an annoying process for me too. You are not alone. I feel like I am being pulled in different directions. A lot of useful information online about this will give you the basics but they leave so much information out. It is exhausting. I am happy I found this forum. Hoping to get some help myself.

I thought I had found the clinic I was going to go to. I was ready to contact them until I went down a rabbit hole. It turns out a lot of reviews online are fabricated. Also, the negative reviews are often deleted due to Korea’s strict defamation laws which protects clinics. So now I am not sure. Should I even bother considering reviews as a factor when picking a clinic?

Best Hotels in Gangnam District in Seoul?
justzoe replied to SueChic12's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I stayed here! Not for when I was getting surgery or anything but when I was in Korea with some friends. We stayed at the hotel for 6 days. The rooms are quite small but everything is made up for when you realize you essentially have a mini apartment. We enjoyed our stay there and everyone was insanely friendly. - Last week

Virtual consultations?
berrygirl21 replied to berrygirl21's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Sorry! I thought I had replied to this. I must have typed it out and not hit send and only realized it. Thanks for the information. I wanted to update and say I have had two virtual consultations and both were great. I just have to decide on the clinic. -
Aftercare Korean beauty products?
berrygirl21 replied to melwinters's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Anything with rose water is said to be really beneficial. I know a lot of Korean beauty products have that as an ingredient but just straight rose water would probably be good. You can look into the benefits, they are tons! -
Scalp stem cell treatments in South Korea
BECKII replied to BECKII's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Do those things actually work though? Like botox injections for hair regrowth or the red light therapy stuff. I would much rather do something cheaper if it is an option. I just read into the stem cell stuff being the most effective next to transplants. -
Aside from maybe botox injections and red light therapy, everything with hair regrowth is super expensive. I would think it would be cheaper considering how common it is. Especially for men. I do know a fair amount of females that experience thinning though, especially before the age of 40 these days.

I am hoping someone here has had one done. I am not sure how long I should take off from work in total. I have a general idea of how long I will need to be in Korea but in terms of healing and recovery, I don't know how long I should avoid working. My job does have some labor aspects to it which is concerning me. I could do some work from home but I want to make sure I can get enough time to recover before working again to risk injury or messing up my surgery.

Hello from Italy, I need some help!
Gelsomino replied to Gelsomino's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Thank you everyone! I appreciate the information. I am going to have to decide on some clinics and start contacting them. I was not sure how to approach this but everything shared in this thread makes sense. Do the doctors commonly speak with people or do they have staff that does this? -
Aftercare Korean beauty products?
InstaQu33n replied to melwinters's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
Everyone I have talked to about aftercare says the most important thing is keeping skin clean, proper hydration, and diet. The topical stuff can only do so much. You want to make sure you drink enough water and are eating foods that encourage healing and skin repair.
