Fractional Laser + Auto Needle + PRP + APL for hair loss / hair growth... does anyone know if any of this actually works, though? And is the price reasonable?
You dodged a bullet for sure. I got botched multiple times by Dream and had to get revision elsewhere to fix issues they caused. Locals I met in Korea tell me they don’t go to places like Dream either due to shadow doctors being common knowledge there among locals. Consider yourself lucky for not going through with the surgery!
Maybe 6 or 7, since I got rib (my own) taken out for the rhino. (The chest area hurt more than the nose.) Otherwise, it is not that bad, pain-wise. It's the stuffed up, swollen, runny nose that is uncomfortable to deal with for the first few days.
They sound like a nightmare!! I am sooo sorry to hear about it. Will free speech laws protect you in your country? I'm not a legal expert, but it seems doubtful that anyone could win a court case against someone who simply posted honest reviews about bad experiences (bad reviews get posted every day in the USA, and there's free speech laws)
Hi! I’m interested in trying PRP or special lasers for hair loss and hair growth (forehead corners are starting to get a little thin!). Has anyone done this before / does it work?
and does anyone know any good clinics in Korea or Taiwan that offer it?
(I know this is reasonably common in both countries)
Yes, but I had to have my silicone removed and replaced with my own rib due to calcification causing weird hard masses to grow from it (showed up on my Ct Scan) after only 2 years, and it also started shifting. It is easier to remove than say Goretex
I have been researching the same since I have been doing consultations for this in Korea and plan to do it this week or next. from what I heard so far:
Accu tightens while getting rid of fat (laser assisted) but has risks of burning as side effect (not sure if this will cause bulky scar tissue to build up if something goes wrong)?
traditional lipo has no risk of burns but does not tighten. Can be paired with a skin tightening surface laser like Shurink, Hifu, Ulthera etc though (the skin laser is more like a dermatology laser, non invasive) for those worried about sagging but those lasers aren’t permanent.
let me know if you find out anything else! I’m having the same dilemma
Hi! Congrats on completing your surgery! I just tried to PM you, but it says your profile is limited due to your privacy settings (thus would not let me PM you). Would you be willing to PM me the name of the clinic and doctor you ended up going with for your eyes, please? I'd also be curious why you chose them. If so, I'd appreciate it!
You would need to attach CT scans to be sure, because photos (especially self taken, or sometimes even taken by someone else) are not accurate. The doctor needs to see your teeth and bone structure to diagnose. I had taken some photos and sent them to doctors, who all told me I need double jaw surgery. After I got CT scans done, and they saw me in person, 90% said I don't need double jaw surgery and can do it with a bite stabilizer plus braces. Hope this helps!
Hi! I keep getting recommended an endoscopic forehead lift by doctors when on double eyelid consultations, and I am just now starting to research and try to understand it.
Has anyone here done an endoscopic forehead / brow lift before? If so:
---How obvious are the scars in / around your hairline? Do they bother you?
---Any other potential side effects I should be aware of and ask doctors about?
---Do you have any regrets doing it?
---Do you recommend endotine? Or some other method?
---Did your hairline move higher?
Any advice you are willing to share on ANY of the above would be extremely appreciated.
I think by Day 2 or 3 after surgery, I felt fine wearing glasses and walking around Seoul for some sightseeing and shopping. Don't overdo it / don't pack your schedule too tightly, though!
Thank you! Are they still on your consideration list or out? Also, what other clinics/ doctors are you considering?
I have been researching...let’s compare notes!
Hi PurseForumers! I could REALLY use your help if you had rib rhinoplasty before or know someone who has. I'm trying to decide within the next day (before my surgery) whether to have my own rib harvested or use donated for my tip and bridge (each has pros and cons). However, I worry about the scar from having my own rib harvested, even if it's supposed to be under the crease of the breast.
QUESTION: Those who have had rib rhino before or friends who had.... can you still see the chest scar? Is it completely hidden when wearing a bikini, or does it still show?
Hi Purseforumers! Does anyone have any recommendations on a decent (and not tooooo pricy) hotel for recovery in Seoul near Sinsa Station (ideally) or Apgujeong Station area?
I'm looking for one that has in room microwaves especially!
Those of you who have had rib taken out for your rhinoplasty.... was it tough? Do you have any regrets?
Also, had you also considered donated rib for your bridge instead of taking your own?
how was your absorption / warping?
and do you have any advice on things to buy or prepare in advance of the rib surgery?
I am nervous about making a wrong choice and would also love and advice if anyone who has been through rib rhino (either self or donated for bridge) could share some experiences!
Never mind...I see you had Dr Ryan Hsu! I was / am considering him as one of my candidates for my revision also. Would you consider going back to him for revision? Would you recommend him?
I consulted with him. He seems nice but super conservative and will only agree to the most minor changes. I would say he may be ok for those who need a tiny improvement but not for those who need a big improvement. He is more experienced than Dr Jeong though, who does dolly noses.
