  1. I think probably acculift or some kind of lipo / lift.
However, I think my understanding is not all face lifts are permanent! So it may need to be redone at various points in life.
I’m nervous about this, too, since I am considering jaw surgery. Keep us all posted on what you find out!

  2. @ashura You look great! Thanks so much for sharing your pics and experience. Congrats on your result. May I ask how your alarplasty scars are looking now? Is it still visible from straight on and underneath if someone is looking at you and you tilt your head / nose upward?

Also, did both of your surgeons there speak fluent English?

Thanks a million for giving back to the community! I may check out Uvon now after your review

  3. Thanks for sharing! I am also interested in TFD, EU, and EverM. I just downloaded Kakao after reading your post! Which Kakao groups do you recommend joining for plastic surgery discussions?

Also, was it hard finding an orthodontist in your home country to coordinate with TFD on the orthodontic treatment before/after two jaw surgery?

  4. Hope everything is ok and wishing you a smooth recovery after you get checked out by a dr! Who did your surgery, if you don’t mind sharing? Take care!

  5. Thanks for sharing about your journey. You look great!

Who was your nose surgeon at Eve, and does he/she speak English?

Also, what do your alarplasty scars look like? Are they still visible?

After seeing your post, I’d love to check them out!

  6. Wow, thanks so much for pointing this out and making sure this community doesn’t get scammed by promoters!

By the way, which Chinese plastic surgery review sites do you use? I can read Chinese, too, and would also love to take a look. Thanks in advance!

  7. Who is the surgeon from Yale you ended up going with (the one with perfect English)? I'm curious and may want to check him out!

  8. Hi Purseforumers! Do any of you know of any Chinese language popular plastic surgery forums about plastic surgery in Korea and/or Taiwan?

If so, I'd love your advice on some forums to check out, since I'm looking to get revision surgery in Taiwan or Korea this year. Many thanks!

BONUS: I'd be happy to help translate and bring back some knowledge from the Chinese forums to this one.

  9. What Chinese forums do you know of? I'd love to check them out

  10. I’m considering GNG for a revision and would love to see your before and after pics if you would be comfortable private messaging them to me. would be so very appreciated, since i hadn’t heard much firsthand experience about them!

  11. Hi Purseforumers,

I wanted to share a warning about some problems I am having now with Dream. I have had 3 nose surgeries with Dr. Park (primary + 2 revisions), with each surgery to correct problems / complications caused by the surgeries there before.

A small, hard lump (from diced cartilage mixed with fat that Dr. Park injected there previously to augment to bridge) formed under the skin on one side of my nose bridge after the 2nd surgery. I paid a lot to fly back from the USA to have the bump removed surgically last week.

However, not only did the clinic charge me for the 3rd surgery (despite previous promises that it would be free for me due to the medical complications), ****the hard lump was not fully removed*** after the 3rd surgery (2nd revision) last week. I can still feel it whenever i touch my nose, and my skin is starting to turn a bit red there due to damage from the lump.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to get the clinic to reply in order to see Dr Park about it during my brief layover in Korea tomorrow....otherwise, I would have to pay a fee thousand USD more and burn up all my vaca days for another yeat if i had to fly back without getting it resolved and talking to the doctor. From past experience, It usually takes a long time for Dream to respond when after surgery problems arise. (There were even some times when I was trying to coordinate the bump removal surgery that they would take weeks, and I had to send several follow up emails.)

However, the English coordinator finally responded today saying she "checked with the consultant" who said it could not possibly be a remaining lump. Basically, they flat out *denied* that there is a remaining problem.....even though part of the hard lump is still clearly felt on the side of my nose bridge!

I am extremely upset and anxious about the poor aftercare / lack of satifsactory response / flat out denial by the clinic that there is still a small hard lump on my nose caused by my 2nd surgery there that was supposed to be removed by my 3rd surgery (which i flew back for from the usa) i have spent around $8000 USD in total counting each time's additional surgery fee and feel like I get ignored after I have paid...the attitude is different before paying. I have not been able to successfully get anyone to talk to Dr Park for me about my case or get any response as to what treatment may be needed to fully remove it. I don't even want a perfect nose....i just want the medical complication and hard lump caused by the last surgery to be fully removed.

Does anyone have another contact at Dream I may try? I have been corresponding with Julia through [email protected], and I am thinking I may need to try another / all contacts to try and get the issue resolved asap.

Any advice would be welcome and appreciated, and I also hope my problematic experience helps others on this forum. I will also write more later regarding my unsatisfactory experiences with all 3 of my surgeries there (primary rhino + 2 revisions).

  12. Ooh, interesting. I didn't know Dr. Kim at April31 does closed rhinoplasty when requested. I consulted with him before, and he said it would be open rhinoplasty. I wonder if this is because he's not as confident in it and his results in closed may not be as good? I ended up not going with them because I was worried about the scar (I scar suuuuper easily - can still see all the dark, raised scars from where fat was taken for each of my fat grafts, and I even have a long scar on my hand that won't go away from a papercut ages ago)... that and their costs are double everywhere else. (I got quoted $10k+ for revision at April31... yikes!)

    Thanks for sharing!

  13. I feel you on the scars thing. That's actually why I went with Dr. Park instead of a few others I consulted with - I didn't know any other surgeons who do closed rhinoplasty at the time in Korea, though I'm sure plenty of them exist! My first 2 surgeries with him were unsatisfactory, though - there was very little change. Just had another (hopefully final) revision with him and have resigned myself to the fact that my nose will never be "perfect". I also didn't end up doing alarplasty using the external excision method for that exact same reason, even though it would have improved my nose width more substantially more than the internal approach. A lot of surgeons claim the scar is invisible, but I always seem to see those 2 lines under the nose base in the "after" photos and on celebrities, which seems to me like a dead giveaway.

I'm curious to hear what other surgeons other have come across that do closed rhinoplasty, as well, in case I need another revision for whatever reason... really hoping I won't have to go through surgery a 4th time, though! Has anyone heard of / had experience with other surgeons who do the closed method?

  14. I see Whitening Injections (glutathione administered via IV) advertised by almost all of the clinics and dermatologists in Korea, and I heard that a lot of Asian celebrities use this to lighten their skin. What do you guys think -

Is it safe? / Any side effects? (hope it's not cancer-inducing or a trigger for other health problems)

    And does it actually work?

Any tips or opinions from anyone who's either looked into this or done this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  15. Hey Peach! Sorry to hear about your experience - I was / am in a similar boat as you. I just had my 2nd revision (3rd surgery) with Dr. Park after the first 2 nose surgeries (alarplasty, tipplasty with ear cartilage / septal extension graft, 2x bridge augmentation with diced cartilage mixed with fat), with him did not give me the result I wanted (not enough change) and also left me with a hard bump that formed on my nose bridge from the fat / diced cartilage injection that could be seen under the skin. Just had a 3rd surgery with him last week to get the hard bump removed + bridge revised with silicone + additional ear cartilage graft added to the tip + revision alarplasty. I'll report back on the results after healing. Also just sent you a PM with more info.

I'm really nervous thus far, though, since the silicone implant he put in seems a few mm off center (it starts too far left between my eyes and is not centered then slants to the right). The bridge height looks pretty good and a bit more defined with the silicone (vs. the diced cartilage / fat injection, which can have unpredictable results and even cause bumps)... not sure if it will go down a bit more. Granted, my face is slightly deviated, but I was always under the impression that the top of the implant should start in the middle between the eyes and not slightly to one side. I'm praying that this is due to uneven swelling, but I'm not sure if the top of the implant where he fixed it under the periosteum will actually move? Hoping for the best!

Keep us posted on what you end up deciding re: your revision!
