Hello! So I started my journey to revision Rhinoplasty / Alarplasty and eyelid surgeries (revision DES and possible outer corner / lateral canthoplasty) and possibly double jaw surgery (if it looks like it's medically necessary), and am also considering some kind of lower face reduction - not sure if that's acculift, facial / under chin lipo, botox in the jaw or something else). I'll try and share updates along the way as a way to give back to the forum here, since I've learned a lot of info from the helpful posts here over the years. I started reaching out to clinics for online consultations but am having a bit of trouble deciding on surgeons at some of the clinics I'm consulting with. If there's one thing I learned from this forum, it's that you need to choose the doctor NOT the clinic.

Would anyone with experience or info on which doctors would be good choices at these clinics be able to weigh in?

VIEW PLASTIC SURGERY - Can anyone advise regarding which nose and eye surgeons are best?

Nose: _____________? (Now that Dr Lee is no longer at View, it looks like they have 2 main nose specialists: Dr Jeong Jinwook and Dr. Yun Chang Woon (Dr. Yun is also their jaw / face specialist and doesn't only do noses). I've seen one or 2 cases of Dr Jeong's work, but has anyone here had experience with Dr. Yun for noses? Would love to hear any thoughts or experiences with both Dr. Jeong and Dr. Yun - either positive or negative!

Eyes - It looks like they've got Dr Kim Jeong Min, Dr Jeong Cheol, and Dr Lee Ho Bin for eyes. Has anyone had experiences with any of them? I'm not sure who to pick.

Acculift / Facial Lipo / Botox etx: - It looks like they have Dr Jeong Cheol and Dr. Lee Jin Ho.... has anyone had any facial volume reduction procedures, lipo, etc. or lower face / under chin lifts or Acculift done with either or heard anything?

Note: Dr Yun is their only specialist for double jaw.

DA PLASTIC SURGERY - Which nose doctor should I choose...?

Nose: Dr. Ahn or Dr. Kim Joo Youn <--(Sadly, Dr Lee Dong Chan is not doing nose surgeries anymore even though he moved to DA. He is only doing facial bone surgeries now. I have heard of Dr Ahn but not Dr Kim Joo Youn.... has anyone here had either positive or negative experiences with either? Any tips or info would be extremely appreciated!)

Double Jaw: Dr Ahn or Dr Lee Dong Chan <-has anyone had double jaw surgery done with either before?

HYUNDAI - who to choose for revision nose and acculift/facial lipo?

I can't seem to get an answer from Hyundai on this, and it's been weeks.

Can someone here advise on who the best doctor for nose is at Hyundai?

Also, has anyone here done acculift / facial lipo / etc. here? If so, which doctor did you have?

Note: I may consult with Dr Hwang Ho for eyes.

UVOM - who to choose for eyes, acculift /facial lipo?

I can't seem to get answers from their coordinator or a reply with this info despite multiple follow ups. I think Dr Kang may be their main doctor for eye surgeries, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone have any advice on who to choose at UVOM for eyes? and lower face / under chin lifts/face lipo?

Note: I am planning to consult with Dr Lee for nose.

Opera - facial lipo / accu lift doctor?

Note: I'm also planning to consult at Banobagi (dr Lee Hyeon Taek for nose/eyes, jaw with Dr Oh), Migo (they only have 1 doctor for each facial area), Opera (nose with Dr Kim and eyes with Dr Kwon Jung Woo), Dr Lee at The Face dental (double jaw). If anyone has had experiences both positive and negative with any of these, I'd love any advice, as well.

Which doctor at each clinic are you considering for your eye surgeries?

 

It sounds like filler would be temporary, and I definitely advise against any permanent filler due to the side effects, lumps, complications etc. that would be caused. Is the entire tip too upturned or just the nostrils?
There's a kind of rhino technique called an alar rim graft where they can add cartilage to just your nostrils to make them show less. If the whole tip is too high, you'd need revision tiplasty which would bring the nostrils down.
I have a similar issue after rhino (too much nostrils showing), so I'm looking into both options and doing consults.

Thanks for sharing, and hooray for your first post! I totally feel ya.. picking a surgeon is so stressful! I have had a similar experience with UVOM and Hyundai so far... they are sooo slow to reply, and it's like pulling teeth to try to get answers.
Too bad, because i like some of the before/afters a lot, but it makes me worry a lot about aftercare if they are already this unresponsive before. (For instance, what if something went wrong or you have a question for the clinic about aftercare, and they never reply ^^

Have you thought about consulting with DA, Banobagi, Opera, Migo? Those are on my list, as well.

May I also ask which doctor did you consult with at nose for View? It looks like they have 2 main nose specialists now, and I'm trying to decide which one to consult with. Any info or thoughts you have would be appreciated!

OK, update: I heard back from DA that it is indeed the same Dr Lee Dong Chan, but he no longer does noses and is only doing facial contouring and double jaw right now. It looks like many of us now need to find a new nose surgeon.

There's a Dr. Ahn and Dr. Kim at DA for noses now....not sure who to choose. I've heard of Dr Ahn but not Dr Kim. I'm wondering how their styles are different and who to consult with.

Has anyone here had experiences or had their noses done with either and would be willing to link or share their experience?

 

Thanks for sharing! Was any coordination necessary between your old orthodontist and Dr Shin? Or were you able to do this without your orthodontist's involvement?

 

P.S. Do you or anyone know which doctor Namsoo the YouTuber did his Nose with at DA? It looks pretty good compared to his old one!

Is the Dr Lee Dong Chan a different one than the nose specialist that used to be at View...? I'm wondering if it's the same person or not. Has anyone successfully consulted with Dr Lee Dong Chan at DA this year for rhinoplasty?

Have you already decided who your orthodontist will be for braces after the surgery back in your home country? I am curious whether or not you needed to find an orthodontist first and have him/her coordinate with Dr Shin about the post-surgery braces treatment before you actually had the surgery. I have been researching, as well.

 

Which doctor at Opera are you considering for eyes? I reached out to them, and they mentioned a few different eye surgeons (Dr. Kim Young Hyun, Dr. Kwon Jungwoo and a few others. Has anyone done surgery with them or heard anything about them?)

 

Oh no! Where / which doctor did your nose?

I think for SOME cases the tip eventually drops down a little which MAY help with your alar retraction, but it depends on what procedures were done and how to your nose. Did you try contacting your surgeon and clinic to see if they can advise?

 

Which doctors are you considering for which surgeries at Hyundai? I have been researching them, too. I contacted them several times but have not been able to get a straight answer from them on who their main specialists are for Nose, Eyes, and for surgeries to reduce facial volume without bone shaving (acculift, face lipo, etc)

It looks like he specializes in double jaw surgery but also does V-line, etc. and other facial surgeries (being an oral maxillofacial specialist). I saw that he speaks fluent English (verified also in the YouTube videos he's speaking fluent English in), and his website has case studies and testimonials from international English speaking patients.... but I don't see him mentioned often in this forum.

If anyone has had any experiences with him or heard anything about him (good or bad), any info have would be extremely helpful and appreciated. Thanks a million!

Can we make this list by Surgeon Name instead of by clinic? Surgeons move around a lot, and just because one surgeon in a big clinic delivered a bad result doesn't mean the entire clinic is bad

I'm actually not 100% sure you need two jaw after you posted your side profile photo. Your jaw looks mostly aligned. I think if you only did 1 surgery, cheekbone / zygoma reduction would make the biggest difference. Maybe consult with some orthodontists on if you need two jaw or not (they may say you don't or won't get much improvement with it), since it's a pretty major surgery.
