  1. —Avoid the big hospitals and go to smaller to mid sized clinics to avoid a rush job, botch job, shadow doctors, and lack of communication and responsibility/ inability to reach the doctor when things go wrong.

—Don’t believe all the positive reviews you read online or even the lack of negative reviews. Korean clinics have threatened or bribed unhappy patients to take down negative reviews in the past, and they easily cover up bad news in the media. Promoters post positive reviews. It is not like the United States where free speech is encouraged and protected.

-Cheaper is not better but neither is more expensive. Focus on finding the right doctor for you.

-Avoid high seasons if possible (December is a terrible time)

-try and pick a doctor that does not rush you out during consultations and patiently addressed all of your questions and concerns

  2. @yunggrandpa - where / with what surgeon did you have your rhinoplasty?

  3. Which doctor in Dallas did you do your DES with?

  4. Hi! Would you be willing to PM me the name of your Beverly Hills doctor please? I would like to try consulting there too  thanks! P.s. also, are you Asian / does he do lots of Asian noses?

  5. I’ve never heard of Dr Noh! Have you seen any before / afters of his nose work? If so, I’d love to see them too if you wouldn’t mind sharing

  6. Hi! I am thinking about DA too and am debating between Dr Kim and Dr Ahn for nose. May I ask why you chose Dr Kim for your nose instead of Dr Ahn? Also, how would you describe the difference between their styles?

  7. Is there such a thing as a permanent face lift? How often do they need to get redone?
I think I read somewhere on this forum to plan for doing it every few years after jaw surgery repeatedly which worries me :x Is this really true?

  9. Thanks for sharing! What made you choose Dr Park at Banobagi for eyes instead of Dr Lee? Curious how you chose your doctor

  10. OMG, this scares me, especially since I had been thinking of visiting View... but I'm now hesitant about going there if my info may get leaked. :X It's important to me that a clinic and doctors have ethical business practices and put patients first, so now I am unsure about View. I bet this is scaring away potential patients! Thanks for sharing!

  11. Does Dr. Lee at JUM speak fluently English? What was the communication like?

  12. Hi @whitneyle - Awesome! Which doctors did you consult with at View, Hyundai, UVOM, and DA? All 4 of those are on my list (along with Migo, Banobagi, Opera, maybe Nana), actually! I'm planning to go in November but am still trying to finalize which doctors I want to have consults with at each place. Any tips you have on which doctors you consulted with at those places and what you thought of them would be great and appreciated, and we can compare notes! Who did you request at each clinic?

  13. Hi! This is the thread where I saw the mention of the accidents with DA: https://beautyhacker.com/forums/topic/952548-my-personal-experience-da-clinic-daprs/page-3
scroll down to the post by tiffanyfah and start reading from there

I think there's some confusion about whether it was at DA or not, though, as you can see from the thread. I don't understand Thai, though, so many someone who does can help us out

I wanted to do my nose with Dr Lee Dong Chan (formerly at View, now at DA) but was told by DA that he no longer does noses. I am considering revision rhino with either Dr. Ahn or Dr Kim Joo Youn at DA, but I have only heard of Dr Ahn. I may also consuilt with Dr Cho for eyes (that's just who the consultant online recommended... no idea if Dr Cho is good. Have you heard anything?) , Dr Ahn or Dr Lee Dong Chan for double jaw / facial contouring (not sure which is good). and TBD not sure which doctor for lower face and under chin fat / skin removal without cutting bone if facial contouring / double jaw is not necessary.

Which doctor Lee are you considering at DA? Is it Dr Lee Dong Chan? I wonder if the person I corresponded with on Kakao from their clinic is misinformed about him no longer doing noses if you were able to get a nose consult with him! I read good things about Dr Lee Dong Chan here, but I'm sad that I was told he no longer does noses... wonder if that's correct or not, though.

Maybe I will contact Nana, too.
Which doctors are you considering at Nana?

  14. good luck and good wishes! Please keep us posted on how your surgery with Nana goes! Which doctor there did you choose for your nose? Would love to hear more since they are on my list, and I haven’t heard much about them!

  15. No worries!

I’m interested in DA too but nervous since I came across an old thread that mentioned someone may have died at DA and another Thai patient found surgical gauze left in her stomach by the surgeon and sued. I am not sure how true these are though I think there are news videos on it (in Thai)....have you heard anything about that? Wonder if it is true.

which doctors are you considering at DA when you reached out to them?

my advice would be to be sure to choose the doctor not just the clinic...or you could be assigned someone who doesn’t really specialize in your area or a rookie. The big clinics have tons of doctors that work on a lot of areas, so make sure you figure out who you want and see if you can get a sense of each one’s style

I saw Nana mentioned on here, too, and Itve been curious about them. I haven’t seen much about them here, though. If anyone consults Or has any info , pics from before/ after research online or anything to share about them, that would be awesome.

good luck with consults, and let’s all continue to share info!
