Yea, I spoke to a cpl of PS surgeons in the States and they both said it is not worth the scarring. So yea, u r better off doing it in Korea.

Wow, you are traveling all the way to korea for just epi? That is some good discipline. I wanted just my eyes but now I'm thinking eyes, fat graft and possible vline or nose if the dr suggests it.

The reason is I have a big skull, so the doctor couldn't reduce too much of my zygoma. In retrospect, I'm still glad I did zygoma reduction because:

1. My mom who's about 60 yrs old, she has really prominent zygoma. As she gets older, her soft tissues/fat disappear, leaving just skin and bone and her zygoma size really makes her face look gaunt and harsh. No offense to my mom, I just want to be a better version of her when I get older.

2. I still have high zygoma (not flat face) because my zygoma bones were very big before, now they're more like normal. From the frontal view, the zygoma reduction didn't produce much result because like I said, I have a big skull. However, from the 45 angle it's pretty obvious and it also gave me a softer overall look.

3). No noticable sagging for me, as when I did the zygoma reduction, I was in my late 30s (I already had sagging even before the surgery). Now at 1 yr post op, I don't see my sagging getting worse just because of the surgery itself. At this point, I can't tell if my sagging gets worse because of zygoma reduction surgery or because of natural aging.

Hello all! Time for another update! So I had counted wrong and today is actually my 4th day from day of operation and also 4th day of healing! Let me just let you all prospective nosegoers (or any operation) that the first 3 days will be ROUGH! and when I say rough, I really mean it! The painkillers and antibiotics and just the trauma from undergoing surgery whether it be local or general anesthesia will really get you in a trance like state where things are hazy and definitely happy cheery! Don't forget that these first three days are when your bruising and swelling are building up to its max so it is all natural! Be prepared as it will pass promptly!

The days on out from the 4th and counting will not be a breeze and I'm still learning as I go but as you start to get your appetite back to normal and nourish your body back to usual, you will feel much 'better' in whichever senses make sense haha. Keep your nose splints dry and take your meds! Take a stroll and let the days fly by! Keep hydrated, this is very important and eat moderate sized meals that you can handle, build up your portions accordingly!

Any specific questions, feel free to ask, all I have is time for the next few days! And one more thing! Check in with us here at the forum! Because let me tell you, it has been a great deal of comfort to myself and manymany others! Like Karime has let me know, there is always someone here, whichever timezone they may be in, there will always be someone to let you know you're not on this journey alone! Hey anyone anyone having surgery soon with ID, can you please ask for me if dr. Park would be able to prescribe vistaril 50mg (hydroxyzine hydrocholoride) prior to surgery. I am not fond of nausea after surgery and this helped me tremendously before.

For my initial consult, I did not give Dr. Gim a picture becuase I believe that even though a set of pretty eyes look good on others, it may not suit your facial profile. So, I told him what I liked - natural, not too high crease, etc.
On the day of my surgery, I did bring a pic that I liked to him - and he drew dots on my eyelid.
Now 10 days post op, I think its far to early if the results are similar to the picture i showed him. This is because swelling will persist for another month at the very least. However, I am quite happy with my results regardless. i just cant wait for the swellign to subside!!!!!
My friend today told me that I looked like I just had a double eyelid surgery done. She was darn right!

Omg! I can't believe you are 10days post op already. Seems like just the other day you were going in for consults. Are you back home already?
I am glad to hear you are happy with your results. I love how your friend said you looked like you had eye surgery. Made me laugh. I love those tell it like it is friends
Also excited to hear about your vline and how it looks like you lost weight! O I hope all I need is vline, but knowing my luck, they'll probably recommend 2 jaw praying that is not so. Tons of admiration for those who go through that type of surgery.
I agree it is to have someone there for moral support. I'm really lucky that snowstreams dates coincided cause christmas time will be lonely Iam really gonna miss my family. Maybe us forumers can all meet up to have a christmas dinner, bandages, swollen eyes, drinking our pumpkin juice together. Hehehe

Yeah I noticed the sight has been quiet too, but I guess there are a lot of us going in november/december. 1/2 are probably doing consults and recoving, the others are busy buying things they need. Me, I have been home, sick with the flu all week, so I come on and check cuz I am bored :/

Well sounds like you are healing correctly since the swelling is going down just think every day it will get better!! O n don't forget to nurse the rib too. Those of u who did nose surgeries using your ribs are just crazy tough I give u tons of credit!
Are you planning on seeing the sights? Are you alone? Have you met other forumers? I have never been to asia, so I am really psyched to go out and see the sights. After reading peoples updates though, i too might be bummed about my face and not want to go out. Luckily I have snowstream to do this with, so that'll be my motivator to get up and out.

When they tell you you cannot be alone for the first night, this is damn true!! I was not able to do a ****, pardon my language, and I really cannot imagine having gone through that alone. I am swollen like a jumbo blue basketball and one eye is barely opening, not pretty at all!! My rib is so freaking sore but seeimg as today is my third day aka the worse day of swelling, it should be going down from tomorrow on, and I probably should do more walking but he painkillers and antibiotics are making me feel real tired and without energy. In re: to how much you should walk, I never had a nj, but when I had mini tummy tuck they told me to get up and walk at least 10 min for every hour. From what I read from other forumers, they walked 2-4 hours a day.

Only saw the doctor three times: during consult, after the operation (because he was the one who took me from OR to my recovery room) - he didn't say anything to me, didn't ask "How are you feeling?" etc., and the day before I left Korea. Didn't even see him @ 2 days post-op checkup, I only saw the nurse. But my aunt later on, she said the doctor was smoking outside while the nurse was checking my wounds, etc.! WTH, why didn't he see me instead of smoking outside?

Whoa, that sucks Thanks for the update on the post op care. One of the big reason why I kept them on my list was because of the post op care. Any surgery, but especially something major like facial surgery, post care is important! Good to know.

So are you liking your new face? Are you glad you did zygoma reduction surgery? I can't tell by frontal b/a pics of people, if it really makes a difference. Do you know if it leads to any droopiness in the front part of the face afterwards? Also would we be able to get cheek implants afterwards? any knowledge/understanding you are willing to share about this subject would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Double eyelid surgery recovery takes the longest to heal, according to Dr. Gim. For rhinoplasty, many can't tell that you have gotten a nose job after 2 weeks. However, for the eyes, the eyes will look puffy and swollen for at least the first 3 weeks. It will look "artificial" - in Dr. Gim's words. If you are getting epi, it will be red in the corner of your eyes for a few months!

As for me now, my eyes do look puffy. If you know me from before, you definitely could tell something's not quite right with my eyes. They look extremely puffy. (thick eyelids. Think as if you have cried buckets for 3 nights straight). If you do not know me previously, you'll think I have deep set eyes - a little caucasion-like.

It can take approximately 6 months for all of the eyes swelling to go away - however, according to many, after the 1 month mark, the eyes are pretty much set and the swelling will be very very minimal. So, at that time, you can gaudge how your eyes will look like eventually.

For me, I think my eyes will still need to deswell for 1/2 the size of the current eyelid now. Hope this helps!

As i was typing it up last night, I was wondering if the list was confusing for others to use and thought of not posting the rest because it might be too overwhelming, so people might not use it. I would have loved to have made it more user friendly, but my writing document program crashed a few months ago, so I am writing everything by hand and typing it on my phone.
But i am really glad you can use it I guess i will finish the first forum then and if you want, just PM me if you need cozycot's cheek reduction forum. i am barely starting to reread that-so it will take me a cpl of weeks.

Since you are using the list, I just wanted to point out that on pages 121-170 forumers said Regen's post op care was good. But MiaAnn pointed out that Bambi (forumer who posted later in forum did not care for post op at Regen) I will post that later on those pages.

One area of possible conflict - There was a forumer who went to Regen (Bambii) and she said that the after care was minimal. I think that's different from your research on top. SOmething to take note of for those of you who are considering Regen.

Also, another thing that I realized from Jewelry that made me reeled. Again, this is only personal observation. Jewelry has this advertisement/ poster on 3 before and after pictures of woman, who went from old looking/ haggard to pretty looking faces. The scary thing is that - all three woman looks pretty much the same after the surgery. If you pay close attention, the nose, chin and eyes were all the same! I was standing in teh subway and was facing this poster on my way to MyeongDong and it was then that it dawned on me.

Re: regens post op care. Thanks, good to keep in mind. I have Regen on my shortlist bcuz of their post-op care . I should have written the pgs down for the Regen post op so that people could reference who said it. But i guess we can just check back to those who have gotten surgeries @ regen. I will definitely make note of bambis post op @ regen. I know she wrote on the last few pgs of the first forum and the beginning of 2nd forum.

I know you said you paid around 5.5mil for vline, how much did they charge for your eyes? do you like the outcome? Was it ptosis and double eyelid?

What is mini vline? One forumer said it was sliding genioplasty, is it?

So just wanted to notify all you who are heading to Korea to get plastic surgery because I will be going very soon too.

My mom just emailed me from Korea and said her and my dad were at the airport, and they turned around for a second and my dad got his bag stolen. She was so shocked because it happened so quickly! They went to the lost and found and retraced their steps, and luckily the person who stole it just left it behind, because there wasn't anything valuable in there.

She told me to be EXTRA careful, because I am travelling alone, and to not carry anything valuable. I know a lot of you will be carrying quite a bit of cash.. for surgeries and what not, so please be careful!! The last thing we all want is one of us to go and not be able to get what we want, because our bag was stolen

Also, my dad watches the Korean news on a daily basis, and he said there is quite a lot of kidnappings going on. He said Korea is a very scary place, especially for women... So everyone PLEASE take extra caution!! It worries me because I myself, am a foreigner as I know a lot of you are too.. and we will probably stick out .. so just a heads up!

Not to scare any of you guys, but just things to keep in mind! Hope everyone who has had surgery recently is healing well!!

Would just like to introduce myself to the thread. Seeing as my consult is in 5 hours time and surgery is tomorrow (if all goes wells with consult ofc), I thought there is no better time than now. Having read through everyones journey has been amazing. I can only hope to give back after my own nose operation. I will be having rib rhinoplasty, however for my bridge I am not sure whether I will be using the diced collagen wrapped method or a whole single graft hence lots of discussing to do with the doc this afternoon! Anyhoo, ribgoers, feel free to chime in if you have any info or opinions with the two method, I would loveto hear it,especially now! Thanks for your comments! I looked so bad about 6 days after, it was literally scary. At 7 days, it was less swollen, but bruising and more bruising.

So it just takes time I guess...Hopefully it will get even better in a few weeeks. I hope my nose will come down a little more.

For my nose, they used silicon 2mm implant for the bridge, and cartilage for the tip. They have all the way up to 8mm I think...Even with 2mm, I think its looking quite high, thus the bird nose syndrome comment from another poster, but I hope there's more deswelling.

Thanks so much for posting your update and pictures. Omg, i think you looked great either way, b4 n after. In your before pic, you had a more childlike innocent looking face and with the nose, it added more sophistication to your face. Your new nose makes you look a bit of mixed ancestry. Even with swelling, the PS looks subtle, way natural congratulations!
Btw: how many people did you actually tell after the surgery? I am just trying to prepare myself for what I may have to say when asked.
Well i hope you continue to make great progress with your healing. Will you please let us know when all the feeling of numbness subsides.

The thing is, I need it because i did acculift and i think the doc took way too much fat frm my face so now I need fat-graft which is sad. And the fact that some people said fat graft cant last but some says it could last frm 5-10 yrs makes me hesitate whether its worth it or not. i read on the website that Dream clinic uses a different technique that other clinics, they use this 'one time for all" special method to make fat survive up tp 90% whther other clinics uses another type of method which requires 2-3 times touch up since the first op only 50% could survive. How long has her client done it? u should ask ur translator how long has she done it and did it last for ur own sake
