  2. Hey MiaAnn

Thanks, happy l8 thanksgiving to u too! N yes, I did do black Friday which was craziness!
    Did u?

Hahaha, howd u guess i was from the states? I'm from LA, but i fly back n forth between 2 states throughout the year. Where r u from? East coast? I don't think there r many west coast formers bcuz it seems quiet on this forum when I'm on at nites.

I did have nonincisional done about 8 yrs ago n m still happy w the crease. But because my upper lid on one side is getting heavy and droopy, but the end of the day u barely see it. Not that big of a deal, but I figure why w8 til im 60 when insurance will cover it. So now Im just telling others that I'm not gonna w8 til I'm older, I'm gonna do it now while I can heal faster. One coworker told me she had hers done bcuz her eyelashes were starting to grow inward n it was bothering her. Hmmmm, not a bad excuse to use.

Omg, one year is a lot to w8, but at least ur doc was straightforward. I think thats really important otherwise we wud b calling them continuously during post op care.

Thanks again for posting. It really helped me decide to come clean n start telling people. Total reality check for me.

  3. Hey MiaAnn,

Not looking worse, just different is a really good way to describe PS

Omg, u look great! I feel like the swelling went down significantly from ur last b/a pics and it looks even more amazing than ur last 'after' pic! I can see how u still need just a bit more time for the swelling to subside n for ur lids to come down more, but the doctor did a good job.

Hahaha, I too was gonna go wout telling anyone, but it was ur 2 week b/a pic that made me realize i needed to start telling people. When I did nonincisional I didn't tell a soul n went back to work 2 days later. Luckily at that time I worked with mostly blacks and Latinos, so everyone just thought I had like a bad case of pinkeye or some type of infection. So there I was nodding to 'yeah, its pinkeye" lol

But noooo! I really wanted this surgery cuz I'm tired of wearing circle lenses. My eyes went from 20/20 to blurred vision. I'm just gonna have to head to MAC n tell them to teach me how to pack on them dark eye shadows to make the swelling less noticable.

Thanks so much for posting! U r really helping me prepare with the 'afters'.

  4. O happy recovery! I had been off pf for a bit n was wondering if u had already had ur ps.Thank goodness u had a 4th alternative

Just wanted to thank u and all the other forumers who have posted their experiences. For us, the longer the post, the better
I'm not new to PS, but in a foreign country, it is a total different experience.

Good luck. Hope u luv ur new eyes!

Btw, did u get to meet via?

  5. Hehehe, ur description made me kinda laff-in a good way, at how drastic some transformations can be. I'm so happy that everything turned out great for her. N how nice was her housemate who went with her to the clinics

    Thanks so much!

  6. Lol, yea I was thinking that myself. There was this one girl, after going thru all them major surgeries looked great at one month! I was like, how can that be? Ive read everyone on this forums experiences n it sounded no where near how this girl looked.

O no! So views expensive. I was hoping it'd be affordable. So where did ur friend end up choosing? What type of surgery is she planning on getting?

In regards to my liposuction, my situation is totally different from urs cuz I had 2 babies, am in my 30s, n probably not extremely diligent as u will be in post care, plus maybe liposuction is better done in Korea. That being said, I do luv my PS here. He told me that in case there was unevenness, he wd fix it for free. Well at 8 months there was some. I'm not sure if I massaged the area well enough like i was told and if I wore my compression garment correctly. So just make sure u follow their advice as good as they say.

One thing I also noticed was u know how they say u will gain weight in other areas that u normally never gained weight in, its true. I always gained my weight in my lower belly and never my legs, but since liposuction sucked the fat cells from my belly, I guess the fat now goes to my thighs and calves fat cells. I mean this wudnt be a big deal if I would just get off my butt n exercise a bit. Its not a huge difference, but all my years prior, I have never gained weight in my legs, but now there is some meat to them.

Yay! I'm glad this ps journey is almost over for u. Now u can go back to Australia n enjoy ur new beach body self.

  7. oQUOTE=marir;23366237]Yeah, I had a feeling that if they did have surgery, it would have been done at Before & After Clinic, formerly known as Dream Clinic. Not only them, but some other SM artists and YG artists have sent notes to the clinic as well. Whether they're notes for plastic surgery, or dermatology, or just for promotion, I wouldn't know.. but I did see a "thank you" in there from a Big Bang member, so that could mean they had service done there.
I've Naver searched this before, and I would just like to point out that Dream Clinic (http://www.dreamclinic.co.kr) is NOT the same as Dream Plastic Surgery (http://www.dreamsurgery.co.kr). Dream Clinic is the one that received all of the YG and SM artist notes. If you look through the notes here (http://blog.naver.com/bnaclinic?Redirect=Log&logNo=70120975786&jumpingVid=2ADA09662BA055B81F10123788DB06CB153E), you'll see they're all adressed to 드림 클리닉, or Dream Clinic. Dream Plastic Surgery is 드림 성형 외과, which is an entirely different place.

Just wanted to get that out of the way, because a lot of people confuse these two places, thinking SNSD went to Dream Plastic Surgery because it has a more expensive looking website. I think the confusion may be why Dream Clinic changed their name to Before & After.

Omg thanks for posting that! Knowing me, I wudda so walked into the wrong clinic.

    Hey marir
What type of eye surgery did ur friend get? Is she happy w her eyes?

    Thanks

  8. MiaAnn went to consult w JW so she'd b a good one to ask.
And u mite wanna PM snowstream, not sure how often she checks site, but i know she did some research on JW and might be able to answer some questions.

  9. yea, u have to navigate the korean site. i just keep clicking on whatever i c. Also look on pg 30 of this forum. I posted a list of the first 30 pages on the 2nd forum. It will say what page had the link to view's eyes and breast page.

  10. Thanks! Wow, I guess BA is just as expensive in Korea, although i wonder if part of it is they r using the tear drop implant. I bet it will go higher in the US when they bring it in.

How ya doing? I saw the pic of your lower face and it looks nice
Would you say your eye swelling has minimized significantly since last week?

  11. Hey U!
Thanks! I am gonna be going with Nicole too! I really am gonna need Nicole there to keep me grounded and not say yes to everything the docs request bcuz I know they will say more than just my eyes and fat graft :/

I didn't realize you were going for lipo on your body til I came back on PF. I thought u were gonna do neck. If you have questions about lower ab lipo during post op, I might be able to answer some questions, although mine was done in conjunction w mini tummy tuck, so that may have affected how I healed.

Let us know bout your overall experiences in Korea

  12. Off the top of my head , think at the end of the first forum, a girl went to get her nose there. Can't recall right now who got their eyes there.

  13. Hey marir
Glad 2 know u still check in! Was wondering if u were all done n had ur surgeries.
Thanks for ur friends update! I'm planning on checking out view in December. Totally picking clinics that no one on this forum have had surgery at. Still trying to find the logic to that.
Anyways, welcome back! Good luck on ur studies.

  14. Not sure but the pics on the ps website have the shape of a tear drop.

  15. I've only consulted with a few west coast doctors. The cheapest doctor I found charged 6K. I was like hell yea! My friend went first n said though she was groggy, she had conversation w him during the surgery. A CONVERSATION! Yea, 'uhh, I'm gonna have to pass on that." The other doctors whose b/a I liked cost between 9k-12k.

  16. Hey Via!
Congratulations! Im so happy for u! U r finally done and u sound like u r doing really well

Have a quick ques, did Nicole tell u/take u to exchange your money?

    Thanks!

  17. Hey turningpoint,

I think Chungdam u's email might be: [email protected].

  18. I think you summed it up really really well
I've done surgery by myself in the States, but in another country, there is no way i would do without one. Like you said, eyes and nose might be fine, but definitely not for facial contouring.
When I had my chin aug, neck liposuction and mini tummy tuck done a couple of summers ago, I was so worried when I saw my chin looking crooked and long. I immediately called the doctor and he took me in for a visit. The difference between here and the big clinics in Korea is doctors in the States normally schedule days when they do nothing but consults and post up check ups, and days where they do only surgeries.
In Korea, the doctors seem to make their rounds doing consults, post op visits, and operations. It makes sense that the consults would feel rushed and that the post ops seem minimal especially during peak season. At least with a translator you can ask them if they think what you are experiencing is normal or if you should go get it looked at by the doctor. They will be able to explain the post up procedures/what to expect better. Also, if there is an emergency, you can ask them if they can make you an appt to see the doctor without a language barrier with the phone operator.
And like monalisa77 said, if you think you can do the initial consults by yourself, hire a translator for the aftercare

  19. Hey ana.dancer,
Totally hear ya bout being nervous, excited, happy, anxious, n u can add scared too on my list.
We should all try and hit the streets at least once together during recovery. A group of us hanging out all bleeding, swollen and bandaged. I hear a reality show in the making. But seriously, for moral support, especially for those traveling alone.
You're more than welcome  all this research is information overload. really glad u can use it.
Good luck to ya! Prolly see ya in the waiting room
