  1. Hi all!

I was doing some research on RealSelf.com and came across Dr. Myung Ju Lee at VIP clinic. There is a whole thread on RS about him and African American rhinoplasty (and other surgeries).

    Here's a rundown of what I discovered:

    - He's expensive
    - They will give you a discount if you do multiple procedures
    - He only does one surgery a day
    - He takes his time and does a detailed consultation
    - If you do multiple surgeries, they not only pick you up from the airport, but you can stay at their own apartment for free

Dr. Lee has been reviewed on here before a few years ago, but many of the reviews on RS are recent. Someone who posted here about him before updated her nose even past a year post surgery there.

If you want some pictures, I can post them here.

  2. I've had my nose done in the US three times. Korean plastic surgery is 10-15 years ahead of US plastic surgery. Except for my breast surgery, I will never had plastic surgery done here again. And I am already looking for breast doctors in Seoul.

  3. Oh no. That is one of the biggest things I want done (Cupid's Bow). I am not paying $2000 to not be able to notice the difference. That's a shame. Their Kakao consultant seemed very knowledgeable. I am very sorry for you to have gone through that. Have you contacted them?

  4. Thank you for the report. Did you see pictures of previous patients? Have you made a decision yet?

    Stay warm!

  5. I already knew that 101 was a good clinic. Someone who has nothing to do with the board told me they were good already. Hearing it from someone else was just the capper (Lollipop chiming in when she has shown pictures saying that she's met you also helped).

I think sometimes people forget that everyone here isn't Asian. Taking and showing before and after pics isn't normal for Americans. Neither is talking about getting plastic surgery. So expecting us all to post before and afters is unrealistic.

If you go to RealSelf, most people don't post pics. However, they do go into great detail about their experiences. Are all of those people lying? No. Because here in the US, no one is sponsored for surgery. It's not promoted with fake pictures like in Seoul. It's more known than it was, but when people get surgery it's not something they are proud of or they can walk around showing. It's simply not a part of our culture.

  6. Do you mind if I ask what surgery you had at Dessee?

  7. Did you get any discount for allowing them you use your photos?

  8. I think that quote from Dessee is their standard. I received the same one and they have seen my pics (not Asian).

  9. The facts about Grand and Wonjin you can find on Google. It's in the news, so not hearsay. Remember there are strict laws in Seoul about slander. Even if it's the truth, you can't say it in Seoul. Which is why you don't find a lot of negative posts online unless the government has gotten involved.

  10. Opera does very good eyes but their noses are meh. Locals get amazing prices so cost isn't always a barometer of talent.

  11. I can't say sine another board member told me about the clinic and I haven't gone yet, but their prices are extremely reasonable. I know it was $40 USD for Korean Botox.

I'm looking into Oaks Dental for veneers (I have 12, but want 4 done over) as well!

I am having my eyes done, so the LASIK I was planning on can't happen in Seoul.

I was going to get my microblading done in Seoul as well but I found an incredible deal here in Los Angeles that was too good to pass up.

I looked into coolsculpt ( I have to see what it's called in Korea, I forgot) but it's not proven enough for me to bother with it. I'm getting revision lipo on my torso. A clinic I follow on IG has used Kybella on the torso as well as the chin.

I am having tattoo removal and glutathione injections while there. And a touch of filler.

  12. I found both JK and GNG on YouTube. What I liked about both were that they showed they did the work. With JK they talk to the patient and asked them what they wanted done before, what they didn't like that they wanted to change and then how they felt after the surgery was done. They also show their aftercare. You can't photoshop that.

Another thing I failed to mention about JK was the fact that they have done African American patients. I am half Black, so it's nice to know that they have experience with that and do a good job.

  13. Could you PM me, please? Or Kakao (EurasianBeauty or TaiTaiButterfly). I have some questions about JK. Thank you!

P.S. To those who say JK doesn't have great results: they have a YouTube channel that shows before, during and afters with interviews with the patients. They also do work on a Korean plastic surgery show, "Beautiful You". Anti-Aging is incredibly hard and they do flawless work. They do more foreign and older patients than most clinics in Seoul. They are on my shortlist for nose and eyes.

  14. Thank you for the quick answer.

I meant that he's from another clinic and you were able to check on his reputation and talent. Has he done more than just straight BAs?

  15. OMG...lol

I am guessing you found good reviews on them?

    Thanks for the report!
