  1. The reason they don't do general anesthesia is because it's a way to cut corners. This is widely practiced by clinics that do not have an Anesthesiologist and equipment to intubate a patient (hooked up to a breathing machine). Twilight or sleep anesthesia is NOT general anesthesia and can be performed by the operating doctor. With twilight anesthesia, you are breathing on your own so you are not intubated. Depending on who you ask, it's actually considered more dangerous because there is no one actually monitoring that you're breathing the entire time. There's a reason why they do this, and it's usually money related and because they are not authorized to do it.

  2. What type of nose do you think they are good at though? I've seen some good cases (Valorie Pierce) and some really weird looking / too tall / too projected looking noses.

  3. I read that line and I am angry for you. The fact that any doctor thinks they have the right to impose their aesthetic on your face against your specific instructions is reprehensible. It is absolutely wrong to decide in the middle of surgery to just say F this, I'm doing what I like.

I agree that doctors get so used to seeing one type of "look" that they start to think that it looks good. To me, I also find that kind of extreme facial contouring to be ugly and unnatural. In 5 years when that trend dies down, all these girls will realize how fake they look.

In my opinion, it's malpractice because it is deviates so far from what you instructed them to do. The greater question is, what can a patient really do legally when they live in another country. What legal recourse do we really have when the law is biased in favor of the doctor, and against foreigners? The system is set up to protect the doctor and the huge money-making medical tourism industry in SK.

I have not yet heard of foreigners being successful at suing a clinic. The only possible thing is to put pressure on them until they offer a refund.

  4. You are not sure who operated on you? Are you saying they might have switched doctors in the operating room on you?

  5. Wow JW has really gone up significantly. I'm assuming this quote is also for revision? Is this JW rhino quote using rib cartilage?

  6. Thanks. I think more of these stories is actually what this forum needs. Too many shills positing misleading information and distorting the reality of surgery. It's important to name and shame these clinics so they do not think they can get away with it. Too often when people are botched, they blame themselves and writing a review is actually too traumatic.

  7. Typical clinic behavior - lying and gaslighting. They'll try to convince you into thinking the problem is in your head even though there is photographic evidence. The scans are conclusive. I say they deserved to be publicly shamed. Eventually they will cave once they realize you will be out for blood and will put them on blast as publicly as possible. Perhaps then they'll lose lots of business and feel the impact of what they've done to patients.

  8. They all work by the same playbook, which is to LIE and gaslight the botched patient. It's exactly right. They'll do everything to shift blame to the patient, saying they only did what you asked. They'll tell you your nose looks great, even though EVERY close friend or family member confirms your worst fears that your nose has been botched. Or they'll tell you that you are too obsessed or even accuse you of have BDD. If all else fails, they will buy your silence and try to muzzle you into silence.

  9. As a male who got a bad primary rhino, let me just warn you to NOT use actors and models as inspiration for your nose. The nose has to work with your own features, and simply making a composite of your face with some other people's nose will set you up for disaster. Photoshop your desired nose with your own pictures. You'll be surprised how a few millimeters can totally change your face, and what you thought was good on someone else will look bad on your face.
