  1. You are beautiful! And I think your forehead is fine.

  2. I am so glad you had a good result with a U.S. surgeon revising your botched surgery in Korea. That is wonderful and I'm happy for you.
However, I would not generalize that U.S. doctors can fix everything as that is not the case --there are many botched surgeries there as well, and often at more exorbitant prices.
Be careful on Realself, too. I have read that some people that are botched try to share it there but that their posts have been taken down. People here are cautious of promoters, well, that caution is warranted on most plastic surgery sites, unfortunately.
You have to be careful no matter where you go. Again, so glad you had a happy ending to your story.

  3. As I remember it went pretty well. The Dr. was straightforward and seemed knowledgeable. I seriously considered going there, however he wanted to use a silicone implant and although I'm not against that, a couple other surgeons didn't feel I needed that. The pricing was good, too, although i don't recall exactly what it was now.

  4. I have no idea, sorry. Dr. Paik is retiring soon though.

  5. Good luck @MissOrange on seeing your surgeon. Let us know how it goes!

The Dr. who removed my implants (he wasn't the one who placed them), wanted to just replace them--he even sat me up during explant (I did it awake) to show me how small I was going to be without them and wanting me to pay for more implants! I said no, I only wanted them out (mine were saline btw and they weren't old, and they weren't my first implants). I actually like being smaller-breasted and I'm so much happier without them. I couldn't stand the idea of more surgeries on my breasts down the road as I age to replace old implants, let alone any health risks in simply having them in my body.

  6. I'm so glad I had my implants removed. I disliked them even though they looked good. They do not last forever and i didn't want to have to have more surgeries to replace them in my old age. I plan to get fat injected for more fullness (some fullness was lost after implant removal unfortunately). Imo the feel of natural breasts w/o implants is so much better than breasts with implants. I could never go back to implants!

  7. The easiest way to find out their current pricing is to simply call/text them. They don't give different prices to foreigners and no high-pressure sales. Good luck.

  8. I agree with you. I think rib rhinoplasty is for more extreme cases and difficult revisions. I had rib removed from my nose and I'm so glad I did. I realize now I never needed it in the first place--it's very invasive, takes longer, and of course, the cost of it pads many doctors pockets.

  9. I just shared my revision rhinoplasty 10 month pics from PS101. My thread's called
"My rhinoplasty revision experience in Seoul" if you'd like to see them.

  10. Ok I got brave and decided to show 10 month pics of my profile and under nose, as they show the most dramatic changes--(although there still appears to be some swelling in the supra-tip area). My nose was pretty messed up and now it's so improved thanks to Dr. Paik. I hope these help someone especially if they hate their rib graft and can't imagine how their nose could ever look normal again.

    Profile:
    1) the "before" with unsightly upper bridge rib graft and "after", the removal of the rib graft w/alloderm in it's place. So happy with this change!
    2) the "after" has a small tip graft of ear cartilage. The "before" had no tip graft.

    Pics below--under-nose
    1) "before" --indented, apparent former operative scar, crooked right nostril.
    2) The "after" shows almost invisible operative scar, no dent, and straighter nostril.
I should note that other surgeons said they couldn't correct this or didn't address it in consults. Dr. Paik felt confident about improving this area, and he delivered.

The front is better as well, but it's still changing monthly and so I'm not sharing that (yet anyway). Hope these help someone!

  11.
  12. @pbacid GA for fc makes sense and maybe that's standard. I was just responding to comments about alternatives to GA being inferior in general (at least that's how I took it) and I disagree w/that is all. I didn't mean to criticize GA being used for fc. I can think of other more invasive surgeries that would likely require GA as well.
Again, I'm sorry about your friend and hope everything works out.
