  1. Lovely result! Was this a primary rhinoplasty?

  2. You look beautiful! Your nose and face shape are very harmonious. It's so nice that you came back to share your before and after. Thanks for sharing it!

You mentioned in an earlier post that the Dr. said he might need to use a graft on your nose. Did he end up doing that, and if so, what was the graft made of if you don't mind sharing?

  3. So agree!

Yes, it would be nice to know ahead of time! Thanks for sharing about Baum--do they let you keep it? I read April31 requires one for approx. $45US, but apparently you can't take it w/you.

I'm not sure all clinics require them but it sounds like many do unless I'm mistaken.

  4. Interesting thread.

Dr. Robert Flowers, a former PS (caucasion) in Hawaii, performed Asian eyelid surgery since the 60's according to what I heard years ago (I saw articles about him in the past). I think it was one of his specialties if I'm not mistaken.

I've seen some great results on caucasions (I've mostly looked at noses) on this forum performed by Asian doctors, and I've been impressed. Further, most of my consults (online) so far have shown me that many of these doctors in Seoul are forthright about what they believe they can and can't achieve. I respect that. Also, I would prefer the soft silicone implant (if an implant is needed), to cartilage grafts (I'm not saying i'm a candidate--I have no idea at this point). Most surgeons in the U.S. don't use silicone implants.

  5. I was given an online quote of 13k for revision rhino by Apri31. I was sorry to hear it as I've heard such good things about the Dr. and staff, but that is out of my budget. With all due respect, they have been easy to communicate with and prompt w/replies, & knowledgeable.

Thankfully, no other clinic has quoted me even near that (and noted they were negotiable to boot), so I'm still planning to come to SK. There are many other skilled Dr.'s there, as results on this forum have demonstrated, with much more affordable prices.

In my experience w/PS, I don't agree you always get what you pay for. If that were true, I wouldn't need a revision today.

  6. Thanks for sharing, Nadine. You obviously understand what I am talking about then... "a thoughtful and conservative reduction":smile: Yes, you nailed it. I can't wait for that graft to come out. I don't think I'll need any augmentation unless my bridge was scooped out w/o my knowledge or permission before the graft placement.

Btw, you seem very knowledgeable. When you have time, I'd love to know your thoughts on why you think soft tissue coverage on the bridge would be beneficial after graft removal? I'm very curious about that.

Again, happy healing and I hope all is going smashingly well for you.

  7. Beautiful result!!! You must be thrilled. Thanks for sharing. I sent you a message.

  8. Noogen thank you for your nose job diary, I found it very helpful. Further, what a nice result! Your nose looks beautiful. I have had a good consult experience w/them so far via the internet, although I want to see all of the clinics I'm consulting with in person of course. It's just so helpful when people sharing their experience also share photos, so thank you so much!

  9. Aw, I see. I guess it isn't surprising, since it made my nose so much larger. It's good to hear from you--rooting for you and a great result for you NadineP!

  10. Thanks for sharing. Very happy for you! I can't wait to be on the other side as well! I haven't chosen a surgeon yet but I'm been conversing with April31 along w/some other clinics so far....

At any rate, I have a question where you said:

"Dr. Kim@April 31 proposed both dermafat and silicone implant. I found that a nose with dermafat on the bridge would look natural but undefined, like a sausage nose in the first few months before the dermafat is dissolved out to about 50%. So If I went for dermafat, my bridge would either be too high in the beginning or too low after a few months. "

So did he use dermafat under a silicone implant?
