  1. I'm not sure why the above post of mine only shows the quoted box ? but I wanted to say, I think we may have some of the same issues (or did, since now you've had surgery and hopefully don't have those issues anymore!), but one of the main differences is that my nose is still too big (where the rib graft is that I want out). Your story inspires me and especially your bravery, and I'm sure many others beside myself feel the same way, so thank you. We are all rooting for you!!!

  2. After perusing this thread again, I wanted to rephrase how I said Dream thought my case too complicated, as I wasn't actually told that specifically, but rather that they didn't feel they could offer much improvement. I took it to mean the same thing initially, but I realize now it might not mean that at all. I think that they have very capable Dr'.s judging from the results I've seen on this forum and elsewhere, and I admire them for being honest and up-front with me. Just wanted to say that!

  3. What you said makes a lot of sense, Gats. I didn't realize fat was injected at different levels, but I see the reasoning behind it. Maybe that's also why "only skin" facelifts fail, similar to only putting fat directly under the skin. I guess a good Dr. realizes this and puts the fat under the muscle, even bone as well as under the skin from what I have read and what you are saying. The fat graft results are so impressive on the people I've seen here on the forum. I'm so glad when people are brave enough to share photos!

  4. Thanks K Couture for sharing your thoughts on this. What you said makes sense.

  6. Thank you for your bravery in sharing. Please keep us posted on your progress and I pray you will have a nice, normal-looking and pretty result! I too have been through a lot of nose surgeries and disappointment in the U.S., and although our situations aren't exactly the same, I can relate in many ways. It takes a lot to put oneself through surgery again, and have HOPE. I am rooting for you!!
PS, does Brian have an email you could share? You can send me a message privately if you like. I emailed the April31 clinic some time back but haven't received a response.
    Thanks!!!

  7. Kcouture I've learned a lot from reading your posts on this forum. I am also considering a facelift along with revision rhinoplasty. Do you mind sharing where you had your facelift? I wouldn't mind having one when I do my rhinoplasty revision (still emailing clinics presently), if it's a good idea to do both at the same time.

  8. I'm happy that you found your Dr. and that he could help you! Necrosis is scary....that is for sure. I can relate to the botches you've experienced as well, unfortunately. But I am thrilled for you that you've had your surgery and are on the up and up! That must feel wonderful!!

True about some U.S. docs! Thank you for sharing that you have been turned down by a SK clinic as I have, due to your case being considered too complicated, it makes me feel a bit better, although I'm sorry you experienced it as well. In my case, I have an asymetrical rib graft that shows on my bridge that I want out. I think today Dr.'s have perfected their techniques w/rib than when I had mine put in. I'm sure yours will be fine.

Keep us posted on your progress!! Would love to see pics if you feel comfortable sharing at some point in the future! Happy healing!!!

  9. How did your surgery go? I am also Caucasion and would love to hear. I have no experience with surgery in Korea as yet though, or Dr. Kim, but I hope to soon as I'm looking for a revision rhinoplasty. I contacted Dream which I thought would be perfect for my case (removing a rib graft and possibly replacing it with silicone) but I was turned down as they thought it was too complicated apparently. In fact I just heard back from them.

At any rate, I hope someone will reach out to you soon and that it is going well for you after your surgery.

  11. I am interested in going soon as well. However, I'm wondering how it works after reading many posts about flying to SK and then interviewing clinics once there. Does one interview the clinic after arrival, make a surgery date for a few days later then? Or do most people set a surgery date after the interview for months later? Thanks for any info!
