  1. I managed to consult namu via kakao and one one of the chats in kakao, someone said of the 2 doctors named by the consultant - dr choi and dr kirk, dr kirk does PS more for nose and mature women, althpugh he does eyes as well, and dr choi does PS for the younger patients.

Have you seen any of Dr choi's work or read anything good abput his results/skills?

And how can i access Soyoung? Must you be registered there before you can view reviews?

  2. Hi wondermuffin,
What made you choose namu and is it good for eyelid surgery? I haven't heard much about this clinic except for rhino. Do they have english translators and who's the doctor there who does eyelid surgeries?

I've consulted opera online and they did give me a good price but when i asked who's the doctor in charge for eyes, they said they have 5 doctors, which makes me hesitant because I don't know how skilled these 5 doctors are at eyes (like they don't have a dedicated specialist for eyes?).

  3. Hi everyone! I just joined pf today after being a silent on-off reader on this forum for quite some time now. I am going to Seoul next week to consult and get surgery done for my eyelids.

    A little background on myself:
I am in my mid-twenties (although i've been told i don't look my age but younger), Chinese descent and living in Asia. For the longest time since my teens, I've been wanting to get double eyelids done as I don't like my single eyelids. I have tried many non-surgical methods over the years like eyelid tape, glue, false lashes etc, you name it I've tried it, to get double eyelids naturally but NONE of them work. These methods like tape, glue wouldn't make the temporary creases stay on my lids without hooding over or making my eyes look wonky and sausage-like. So I have given up on these methods and just gone the monolid route for years until now (cos I was a poor student who can only dream of DES while i research and save up for it).

I've researched over the years on the different methods of double eyelid surgery and finally came to conclude the type of methods most suitable for my type of eyelids which are kinda puffy with some degree of fat (which is why tape and glue don't work), and I've got slightly thick eyelid skin too. Adding on to my single-lid problems is my undereyes, where i have puffiness which is super obvious when smiling, and the bags from the pocket of fats underneath my eyes don't show up evenly when I smile. Meaning to say that one eye has an eyebag double the size of the other eye's, which is freaking ugly and cannot be hidden by makeup (even industrial strength concealer can't hide that). I've made a list of what would be suitable procedures I would need to get done and listed them below.

Procedures I'm considering to get done:
    - Partial incisional double eyelid surgery
    - Ptosis correction (incis/non-incis idk, will see the doc's recommendation)
    - magic epicanthoplasty (not sure as I have been told by 2 clinics epi is not necessary for me)
    - Undereye fat repositioning (still considering this one as my family is against be doing both eyelids at one go)

I'll be flying out to Seoul next week and so far I've got consultations scheduled with 2 clinics - Teuim and MVP. I initially had wanted to consult 2 other clinics (gyalumhan and IVE) but sadly they couldn't do it on the day I had planned to consult. Hence, I'd like to ask for any other clinic recommendations that I could check out based on my desired procedures above. I am aiming for in-out creases with a more natural but still visible look like the picture below rather than a super-dolly look.

Her eyes are my eyelid goals.

Does anyone have any good recommendations based in your experience for primary DES?

So far another clinic I have in mind is Braun, but does anyone know what their prices are like or are they good at eyelid surgery? I haven't seen much talk about them on pf but their B&A photos on their website seem quite nice?

Would appreciate anyone's honest input here.

  4. Hi everyone! I've been a silent reader (on and off) on pf for some time now. I've just joined this forum cos I will be going to Seoul next week for double eyelid surgery, and hope to find opinions from you guys about some clinics. I already have 2 consultations scheduled with 2 clinics i am keen on but hoping to squeeze in 1 or 2 more.

Does anyone know what are the prices like for partial/full incisional des with ptosis correction and epi at Braun? And what is your opinion on them?
