If by one jaw you mean just jaw contouring then I think you wouldn't really get anything out of that. If you have an issue with your underbite then obviously get two jaw to fix it. I highly it would change your entire facial identity as it's not like you have a very protruding or asymmetrical jaw so the results would be subtle but effective.
The clinics ive been talking to have all said there is a 7% VAT refund so hopefully if I pay in cash I should be able to get at least a 10% discount on top of bargaining.
I won’t be able to have an in person consultation with any of the doctors before booking a date due to time constraints. I messaged dream about it but they haven’t gotten back yet (I’m assuming because it’s the weekend). I’m pretty sure ill just insist on dr yoo if I end up going to dream.
I've heard that the money changers in myeongdong have the best rates but from what I've seen they don't seem to exchange pounds. Can someone recommend a place with a good exchange rate for pounds?
I'm not sure where you got that from. Many US clinics photoshop their after photos or at least have them wear makeup. Most US surgeons website I have seen are littered with photos of models who never even had surgery in the first place.
I was wondering how much of a discount would be reasonable to expect for paying in cash on top of bargaining the actual price of surgery? Also, why do some people worry about declaring money at the airport?
I'm kind of confused. You say that all of the consultants looked gorgeous from head to toe but then a few sentences later you say they looked overly plastic. Which one is it?
I wouldn't recommend Wonjin. They are a literally huge clinic which I assume caters mainly to Chinese people. They are known to be like a factory and not deliver very satisfactory results.
Also if the US is the only place with quality plastic surgeons then why does every American celebrity and most western people who had major surgeries in the US look super fake but when you look at Korean celebrities (who have had plastic surgery) their faces look perfect?
I don't really think it's fair to try and discredit the reputation of every Korean facial contouring doctor just because you had a bad experience. Obviously, US surgeons will do everything they can to deter people from going to Korea because that means less business for them. There are good and bad doctors in every country.
Transgender patients usually only have a tiny part of their jaw removed which isn't enough for many people especially those who want a v-line shape. I'm sorry but I don't think you are qualified to say that most western people who get facial contouring in Korea regret it because you obviously haven't talked to the majority of them. Also, western facial contouring doctors (especially Dechamps) charge absolutely absorbent prices (10s of thousands of dollars) even though they can't offer the same results of trusted Korean doctors who charge a third of the price.
As for the comments on the education of Korean vs western doctors, Korea is one of the best countries to study medicine and to get into and last in a top Korean medical school is far harder than the American equivalent.
But how can they cut off skin without making an external incision under the nose (the bullhorn is when they cut under the nose and remove skin to make the philtrum shorter)?
I am highly considering going to Dream for a revision rhinoplasty. I need to do an open rhinoplasty so I can't go to their most famous nose Dr (Dr park) as he only does closed rhinoplasty. They recommended Dr. Hong Jin Myung but from what I can tell most of the before and after models were operated on my Dr. park or Dr. Yoo Won Jae. I assume that he is a new-ish doctor at Dream as he is listed last on the Drs page and looks much younger than the other doctors. I would like to book my surgery date prior to leaving for Korea (in around a week) as I don't have much time so I won't be able to go for face to face consultations.
If anyone has had surgery or any experience with Dr. Yoo Won Jae or Dr. Hong Jin Myung please let me know as I really want to make the right decision.
By lip lift do you mean the procedure to reduce the length of the philtrum? I've consulted with multiple surgeons and done tons of research and I've never heard of them being able to reduce the length of the philtrum without an external incision as they have to remove some skin skin.
Wow your results already look so good after 10 days. You are tempting me to ad BK to my list. Can I ask what your YouTube channel is as it would be interesting to keep up with how your nose is looking?
Aside from the blood test, everything else is instant. For me, I'm pretty sure that they had the blood results by the next day. I think it's fine to have surgery the day after the consult but I wouldn't do it on the same day as the consult as you would have to be fasting during the consult so you might forget to say something.
Isn't the incision for a bullhorn lip lift around the bottom of the nose? I think unless you go to a really good doctor and have a skin type that doesn't scar easily there is a chance you could have a mild scar.
I think JK doesn't have that many reviews as they have really high prices so most of the people who go there are probably older professionals (people who usually wouldn't post on a forum).
I went to TL and am satisfied with my vline and non-incisional eyes but will be redoing my nose (all done by dr choi). My nose is pretty good but it is a little deviated and I a bit too high (my nose was very high, to begin with).
