  1. If you find out that this isn't the case, should you report them? If this is a law requirement, I would imagine they would want to know about this. I never knew this was a thing.
  2. Not everyone gets relief from this stuff and do need other options. I have a friend that nothing worked for her and she did laser work and it made it much better. Her skin even looks younger too!
  3. Something I was told awhile back was to go to a local clinic in the country I am in first. Most of the time, you don't pay for a consultation but if you do, it tends to be cheap. You will get a better understanding of what work you want or need done and be better prepared for when you talk to a Korean doctor, especially if this is your first surgery.
  4. I don't know about surgeries but for hormone balancing stuff, you could just go to a regular doctor and they sort that. There is no profit or high requests for it. That is why. Most people that get these surgeries are happy.
  5. I will, thanks again. I have been reading up more on it and it is easing my worried. I was a bit nervous about the surgery in general and was considering putting it off but I think it will be okay. haha
  6. Really you just have to wait. You can double check things like medical history, medications, etc. with the clinic and the laws to make sure everything is good there. Some people like to plan out every day of their trip so you could do that, find places to see and restaurants to eat at.
  7. I stayed here! Not for when I was getting surgery or anything but when I was in Korea with some friends. We stayed at the hotel for 6 days. The rooms are quite small but everything is made up for when you realize you essentially have a mini apartment. We enjoyed our stay there and everyone was insanely friendly.
  8. Is English the most common second language? It must be, right? I'd imagine this is down to the massive boom America had in the 50s and 60s, everyone wanted to do business with America so English became a standard for international businesses.
  9. This is something I think is worth stressing. Some people recover really fast, some people take much longer. No two bodies handle surgery the same. I have seen some women take a very long time recovering for very simple operations.
  10. Anywhere from $5,000 to just under $20,000 from my understanding. It really depends on the extend of the work needed done. As for recovery, you are looking at a minimum of a 2 week stay in Korea. I would plan for 3 or 4 weeks though if you need a more complex surgery. Recovery time outside of post-surgery stuff will be 4 to 6 weeks for the resting period (no strenuous activities or exercise) and then 6 months to a year on average for full recovery. Some take a bit over a year.
  11. This is actually very handy for me as I am still looking into a lot of options myself. I kind of assumed some of it can be done online seeing as Korea gets a lot of foreigners that go there for work. Either way, thanks for this info!
  12. This was one of my bigger concerns. Even though I know a lot of people online say they had no issues, I worry that words can be crossed and not understood resulting in less than desirable results.
  13. Yup! Everything I read says you will find their best doctors in this city. Not to say you can't find a great one outside of it, I just know this is the main hub for work in Korea. Even the locals will recommend it too.
  14. Yes this is good to point out and I think it is a good idea for anyone looking for a doctor to check the medical board in Korea too. Don't just go based on nothing but online reviews, especially not with AI being such a massive thing these days.
  15. I have contacted this clinic. It is one of 4 or 5 I have contacted. This one took awhile to hear back from. I am not sure why. But they seem to be legit to me. I was asking around and found someone that I work with whose family member had gone to this clinic for some skin issue and her results were excellent.
  16. Okay I was not entirely sure. I guess I would need a brachioplasty if that is the case as I do have loose skin that will need to be tucked/removed. Thanks for replying. I am going to look into this a bit more and research it.
  17. What is the difference between getting lipo or the brachioplasty? I have been told I have both loose skin and excess fat so I am not sure how to approach this.
  18. I would imagine this falls under liposuction and body contouring. As I have gotten older, I have had my weight go up and down. I lost a fair amount of weight but now I have loose fat and skin that hangs from my arms. I would like to get it fixed. Has anyone had this done? Can someone tell me the costs and downtime for such a surgery done through a Korean clinic?
