melwinters Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM Posted yesterday at 12:08 PM I want to get an idea of what I am in for. I have my surgery booked for the end of April. I plan on staying in Korea for 2 weeks. I am going to do a follow up with a local clinic to make sure everything is healing properly as well. I don't know if this is standard but it was recommended by the doctor I have been working with in Korea. I was told the actual full recovery can be anywhere from 2 to 12 months but the bulk of the healing process happens in the first few weeks. It depends on how much work is being done. Does this sound right to you? Quote
berrygirl21 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It really depends on the extent of the surgery. When it comes to returning to work and light activities, it is only a week or two. That being said, a full recovery does take time. For smaller, less-invasive surgeries the average is 6 weeks to 2 months. For moderate work - 3 to 6 months. For more extensive work - 6 to 12 months. The doctor you work with will be able to give you the most realistic recovery timeline. Quote
