hi guys is there anyone who got double eyelid surgery done at Teuim? I want medium size paralell crease that will suit my small eyes and look natural.I am a foreigner so I have no idea which hospital is the best and if its possible could you guys send me your eyelid surgery result photos of your eyes by private messages?

It seems I guess They don't have such a promoter unlikely others
And they are quite popular with local plus I heard they don't over book the operation
actually I was amazed the review from girin(no alter photograph)

That blog is a promoter. I've had my surgeries at Girin and I consider it the worst mistake of my life. I've had 3 surgeries with them, 2 being revisions after the suture kept breaking resulting in creases smaller than my natural creases. I've wasted so much time and money with them, its ridiculous. I am in the process of writing a full review and am gathering pics from the two years so until then, just know this. Nearly all of their "good" reviews on RealSelf were fake and were posted by their translator. I got them taken down after the mods investigated the reviews. I've since talked to 4 different women whose eyes have been ruined by Girin. They have been unprofessional, rude, and I feel as though I've been scammed.

If you guys want to know further, you can contact me or leave your kakao and I'll show you some of the photos and tell you much more in detail. I'm so hurt and grossed out by their behavior that I urge you to reconsider if you are thinking about doing your surgeries at Girin. The translator quit due to how they treat foreigners. After I left after consulting about my suture becoming broken leaving me with obvious asymmetry (the consultant said the surgery was a success and it looked fine to her, wtf), she told me that when she asked why they wouldn't fix my eyes for free, the consultant had told her, "we're a business not a charity."

Girin will take your money with a smile and not give a rats *** about you after its over. They have a history of ignoring contacts from foreigners who were left unsatisfied. As for my surgeries being considered a "success," if your aesthetic is having one crease be twice as high as the other with a different crease design, then Girin might be perfect for you. If you're into semi-permanent creases that will last up to 2-months then break, then this is your clinic.

It's not just my eyes that were ruined. My face was ruined and I'm now having to spend more money to go back to how my face was after having surgeries at Girin.

I suffered from an awful breakup (not because of my looks la) a month before my planned trip to Korea. Since i'm going over there to get my hair and eyebrow done, might well get eyelids done too.
I had asymmetry eyelids and eyebrows, it makes very hard for me to balance them thru makeup. Many people told me that sticking double eyelid stickers in long run will create double eyelids, which i sticked it for a good 6-7 years.
People do not understand why i want to go for double eyelid surgery, is not that i dont love monolid or small eyes. They assumed that i want a pair of big eyes.
They are so wrong, i dont mind small eyes if they are symmetry.

So about 3 weeks before my trip, i went to do some researches on double eyelids, which clinic to go, and the pricing as well.
I always think that a minor surgery like double eyelids will cost ard sgd 2k and the pricing is not to far away from taiwan.
I joined this forum and read some blogs. Read a blog which her eyes are very natural after the operation, i decided to write her an email for the doctor details.
Sent my photos to ask for quotation, the method they suggested.

Euro Clinic (I picked)
Non incision with fat removal and medi epi.

JW
incision, epi, and levator

Banobagi
Incision + Ptosis correction

Wannabeps
Incision + Epi

As most of the clinics advice me for incision method which i'm not comfortable with, and their price are really sky high. I did not ask Teium as is way above my budget.

Most of the price given by the clinic are able to allow me to fly to taiwan for DES, airfare and accommodation. But again, i do not want incision.
I contacted the sg rep consultant to confirm my appointment and surgery which is the same day.

The clinic is located opposite hotel sunshine. Take a subway to Apgujeong station, exit #4, walk abt 500m. The clinic is along the main road, quite easy to find.
The deisgn of the clinic was simple and nice, met a Singaporean auntie there. The rest of the patient are korean. Not many patients (prolly like 6?) But all were there for procedure not for consultation.

My appointment time is at 1pm, i waited in the lobby till 1.30pm? I paid the money at the counter first before i see the doctor since i cfm i want to do with this doc, you may pay after seeing the doctor la.

The chinese translator brought me downstairs to change, which i dont understand her mandarin at all. (not that my chinese is poor). I texted the sg rep that i prefer an English translator. About another 10 min, the english translator approached me, helped me to fill up the medical history form. She told me that doctor is in the midst of operating another patient and i need to wait for him (there's only one doctor in this clinic).

When the time i saw the doctor, he used his usual tools like the metal thingy to poke my eyes, allow me to decide the height of my eyelids. My consultation with him was pretty fast like 2 mins? And he went back to operate another patient. I fell asleep at the waiting room.

During the operation, the doctor injected 4 times area my eye areas, is freaking pain.
I smelled burned bbq smell, and he asked me to open and closed my eyes for a few times. They lead me to the resting room and placed an ice pack on my eyes.
My translator came in after i was about time to go, she commented that it was nicely done, and explained the post care, medication blah blah blah.

I did not really follow the post care, i suppose to apply the ointment 2-3 times daily, but i only applied once a day. No smoking and drinking, but i smoke and drink.
No pumpkin juice available at the apartment i'm staying.

Hi Kater, does the translator's name start with J? She was the best part of my Girin experience and this is making me have second doubts about going back to Girin tbh :/ Though I did think Dr Lee seemed very warm and authentic...?

I've PMed you to reply more personally. As I've said in another post, just because a doctor seems warm and kind it does not mean that their surgical skills are top notch or that they are trustworthy. Having charisma is just business savvy. And don't ever forget, plastic surgery in Korea is a business.

Hi, guys. Just wanna share about my surgery so it might be a long post. I just got back from Seoul and I think I should write a bit about my experience so that everyone can have another hospital to consider

What I do is Non-Incision Double Eyelid Surgery at Dream Plastic Surgery with Dr. Park.
Before I went to Seoul for my Surgery, I already shortlisted some clinic which were:

(1) Teuim (2) Opera (3) JW (4) Dream

After much discuss session with my friend, we dropped Opera and Teuim off our list. People who already done their surgery at Teuim used to say that they feel pain at the end of surgery and the surgery took a long time, honestly I have a really low pain tolerance so I move Teuim to the last of list (it might sound lame but i really hate if i have to feel pain especially if it near my eyes). However, if this isn't an issue for you then go ahead since I heard a lot of people have successfull surgery at Teuim. As for Opera, some forumer post an article where it says that Opera have some issue that make it to be included to the blacklisted list, this might have nothing to do with the eyes specialist but I rather go somewhere that have better reputation.

Thus that leave JW and Dream. My friend and I were leaning toward JW more than Dream, but JW did something that turn me off completely ( I will not write it here but if you wanna know just PM me). And that means Dream is the last choice. So we contacted Dream via Kakaotalk and reserve our consultation and operation date, thankfully Dr. Park is available at that time. I choose Dr. Park because I heard that he is the rhinoplasty and non-incision eye specialist there. The other reason is their reality show video “Let me in” show a very good job done by Dr. Park and I just like his style and the result. After setting for the appointment, the consultant arranged the driver to pick us up at 2nd May.

My consultation should be on 10am but I couldn’t arrive in time because my plane’s time of arrival is too close but fortunately they still can squeeze us in to see Dr. Park at 11.30am. Dr. Park is like everybody said, soft-spoken and very polite. He has an calming effect and he smiles a lot in the consultation which I found really comforting. Dr. Park can speak good english, but avoid talking too fast so that he can get your meaning clearly. There is also an english translator that accompany us while we are there and her english is really good so it’s fine if you cannot speak Korean.

Dr. Park recommend for me to do non-incision double eyelid surgery and medical epicanthoplasty, which is optional. I am not sure about epi and don't want to do it just to regret it later so I choose only non-incision. After that we decide on the height of my crease then after some q&a session, we leave the exam room. Because the consultant is quite busy we have lunch first at McD downstair , which I am quite happy with because I don’t have to walk too far to find food.

When go back up, the english translator take us to see the consultant, Helene, to decided on the price. I am not good at negotiation so 10% off is fine for me. Beside I don't think I can bring the price too low since my friend and I only do a non-incision surgery. After we agreed at the price which is KRW 1,620,000 with 7% tax refund. We pay the deposit of KRW 200,000 then receive a reservation card. I was told to go back tomorrow at 9.30am

We arrived at Dream at 9.10am, it is still early so there is only the receptionist. We wait for a bit and at 9.30am we were greet by our english translator, Julia, and were directed to finish the payment. For the tax refund, they printed the recipe right after we finish the payment. It will require passport so make sure you bring it. After that they ushered us to the 5th floor where they told us to get ready. Julia asked us some basic information regarding medical history and ask us to fill an consent form for anasthesia. She also gave us the aftercare package which include tablets, ointment and eyedrop.

I wait for quite a while before we are taken to the 6th floor for our last consult with Dr. Park. Once again we decide the height of the crease and Dr. Park marked it. I was the first on to go to the surgery room while my friend wait for me. My surgery itself take maybe only 30 mins, so it was very fast.

After they took me to the operation room, they prepped me and sanitize my face. Dr. Park come not long after that. He draw another line to my skin where he plan on putting the suture. I find it funny when he told me to open and close my eyes using several different intonation. It was like he is singing XD. Next come the anasthesia injection which honestly is the most painful part, it only last seconds though. My memory is kinda blurry so I cannot really understand what is going on. The only thing that i remember is the pressure the nurse put near my eyes and when Dr. Park pull at the suture to adjust it. Next thing I know, everything is done and I can move off the bed. Like I said, very fast!

A nurse accompany me to the elevator and give me ice gel pack. She told me to ice my eyes for the first 3 days frequently and for me to wait at the 5th floor for my friend. Dream is very busy at that day so I cannot get any room to rest for a while, probably because my surgery is not very aggressive and the room was filled by patient with more difficult surgery. Julia told me that I could play the computer if I like while I am waiting. My friend’s eyes is more complicated than me so I wait for a while. At that time I just dosed off, play the computer, watch the TV, repeat . After my friend come down, she have to rest a bit. Before we go back to the hotel, we receive an explanation about the after care kit. I was afraid that my eyes will be really swollen and It will be hard for me to walk back to the hotel, but it didn’t happen. I can still see very clearly, the only difference is the tightness around my eyes.

During my recovery time, I used to walk quite far since it is my first time going to Seoul so there might not be enough time for sightseeing if I just stay at the hotel. Also I drink lots of water because I want to prevent from getting sore throat especially when I enjoy lots of greasy and spicy food. It might be the reason that my eyes is still swollen after a week while my friend’s eyes become perfectly natural

As for pumpkin juice, I could not find it until 2 days before I fly back to my home contry, but since I have to buy one box which contain 25 package, I didn’t buy it. You can get the pumpkin juice at a pharmacy near the clinic. Just walk past JW. It located beside a store called Deolor/Deloro? (Sorry If I got it wrong). You have to buy one bulk package, contain 25 package, so it is better for you to buy it right after you are doing the surgery so there is time for you to drink all of it.

I got back to Dream 1 week after my surgery and Dr. Park said that me and my friend’s eyes is healing nicely and everything should look natural after 3 weeks, he directed the statement more to me though because my eyes is still swollen.

The consultant there does understand basic english but wasn't willing to speak. I was there with a korean friend and he was the one doing the translation for me and bargaining the price. Dr Lim there is able to communicate in English.

The location of clinic is near exit 3 of apgujeong station. I had my procedure done on 14th April and now my right eye is still a bit more swollen than the other one. Overall I do like the clinic and doctor! One special thing the doctor offer was botox injection on my forehead. I don't have any visible wrinkles on my forehead to begin with, the reason for the botox was, by my best understanding, to correct the bad habit of using too much eyebrow muscles and forehead muscles to lift up my eyes. Doctor recommended non incision methond + ptosis correction + fat cells removal. Due to the weak eye muscles, eyes may look sleepy, after ptosis correction, botox will sort of numb the forehead/eyebrow muscle and hence force my eye muscles to work. And for recovery it will strengthen my eye muscles and to be less reliant on the forehead and eyebrow muscle. Does it make sense? I'm not medically trained but that sounds sensible to me.

First price was quoted at 2.5m KRW but due to an event going on it was reduced to 2.2m KRW. My friend was helping me to bring it down to 1.8m KRW. Dr Lim said that, if I agree to his proposal to get botox injection, he will do it for me free of charge, and it's completely optional. I thought that's agreeable to in the end, I paid 1.8m KRW for non incision / ptosis correction / fat cells removal / botox.

The paperwork in the clinic are in Korean, so you may need to get someone to translate or bargain for you if you would like to go there.

I was also advised to do similar procedures to yours (incision/ptosis correction/fat reposition for both upper eye lids and under eyes/epi which I know I need but rather not do it because I don't feel comfortable with). Would you mind sharing before and after photos? And what makes you choose Lead clinic?
