thanks this actually helps a lot the consistency point makes sense… i’ve only done 3 consults so far and 2 of them were kinda similar but the third one was way more aggressive with changes which threw me off. i wasn’t sure if that meant they were more skilled/confident or just more salesy tbh the same day discount thing is exactly what i’m nervous about. one clinic already hinted that pricing “might change” after consult week and it lowkey stressed me out. did you feel rushed to decide on the spot or did you take a day to think?
-
for me it came down to consistency. i did 5 consults and i noticed 3 of them recommended similar surgical plans independently. that made me feel like okay this isn’t just sales talk, this is probably the standard approach for my anatomy. big red flag was when one clinic tried to lock me in with a same-day discount and kept saying “if you don’t book now price will change.” that pressure felt icky. green flag was when a surgeon straight up told me not to overdo it and actually talked me out of an extra procedure. that gave me way more confidence than someone promising dramatic transformation.

new here, but read a lot and finally decided to post bc im kinda stuck in analysis paralysis mode... for those of you who went to korea for facial surgery (esp nose or contour), how did you narrow down clinics after the initial consult phase? im noticing a lot of them say similar things in consults… “customized design,” “natural but defined,” etc but the actual surgical plans can be slightly different when you compare details like implant vs rib, osteotomy approach, alar reduction method, all that. it’s hard to tell what’s just standard sales talk vs actual surgical philosophy also curious if anyone felt like the in-person consult totally changed their plan compared to online consult. ive read on here and on reddit that some people got upsold after arriving, others said the surgeon was more conservative than expected not looking for specific clinic recs right now, more just trying to understand how you guys filtered red flags vs green flags during consult week would appreciate hearing how you approached it esp if you’ve done revisions or more complex cases

Hi everyone, It's been quite some time and I wanted to provide an update about my surgeries, especially since I feel it's quite rare within this community to see follow ups after years. Quick recap: Nose: is fine. it's definitely gone down a lot, but it seems more of a natural drop than a complication. I have not experienced any complications with it. However, I am keeping an eye out that it may happen anytime due to the silicone, and am prepared to do DCF in America for revision in the future. Eyes: I am relatively dissatisfied with the one eye I mentioned. What happened is that my eyes healed differently, and one eye is more almond shaped, and the line is slightly lower, and the other eye (the one I'm not happy about) is rounded, with a thicker line. My eyeliner needs to be slightly adjusted for both, and to me, its very obvious that my eyes are actually different shapes and sizes. I say sizes because as the round eye's line is higher, my eye has become bigger. However, I will say with makeup and on certain days (lol), the difference isn't really that discernable. Obviously though to me, it is. My eyes were always a bit different in size, but when I was monolidded, the difference wasn't this big as the shape was the same (almond eyes). I plan on getting revision DES within the next 2 years back in Korea, looking for specialists who are skilled with my eyes as now it's become a bit more complicated. My eyes are still a bit fatty, which contributes to my line looking dark (and as a result, obvious that I got work done). While in Korea, I also plan on getting other treatments done (ulthera/shurink, filler, botox, fat dissolving injections), and will write up a review as well. I am actually unopposed to working with Luho, but only if I can get the main doctor, Park Il as he is very skilled with my situation. I will look for other doctors as well and am looking to do some preliminary research. I also want to state that I do think I have become prettier than I was pre-surgery. I don't think my eyes, despite its unevenness and my qualms, have made me uglier or wish I didn't get the work in the first place. Happy to answer any questions, but will not share photos out of privacy concerns.

Korean Plastic Surgery Kakao Chat Groups

Hi! Could you add me as well? I'm looking to chat with people about their rhino experiences as that's what I'd like to do! My id is yoochanghyun! -
Hey guys! I've read a lot of comments and done my own research over the months regarding the material used in rhino and a lot of the negative opinions here sometimes reference old techniques (like old diced cartilage techniques or hard silicone or even older grades of soft silicone) and it doesn't reflect the upgrade in technology now so I'm really curious to find out everyone's opinions about these three materials in more recent years: rib, soft silicone and diced cartiliage in fascia. These are the cons of each material I've found: Rib - risk of warping (but there are anti-warp carving techniques?) - risk of edges showing - can calcify/harden - partial resorption possible (but rare) Soft silicone - has a chance of infection/rejection (heard silicone has improved tho and it's far less common?) - risk of extrusion Diced cartilage (DCF, enveloped in fascia) - mild resorption over the years (but small in volume?) I'm really curious how accurate/common are these actually? I would love to know your thoughts!!

Facial Optimization

Please let me know if you found someone that specialises in this -
Hi everyone! I’m planning to travel to Korea soon for a facelift or anti-aging facial surgery, and I’m currently choosing between Grand Plastic Surgery, Synergy Plastic Surgery, and Gangnam Group Plastic Surgery. I’ve read mixed reviews online, and I want to make sure I choose a safe and reputable clinic. If anyone has personal experience (good or bad) with these clinics especially with facelift, jawline, or mid-face lift — I’d really appreciate your honest feedback.

Has anyone heard of facial optimization and are there any clinics that you have experience with that take this approach? There was a plastic surgeon (non-Korean)speaking on analyzing the whole face with an artistic eye and then considering based on the persons anatomy what procedures could maximize facial attractiveness. There are a few procedures im looking to do based on areas I wish were improved (eye bags, slimmer jaw and chin) but unsure if done together would have the optimal result. For example, a person wanted a rhinoplasty to improve their profile appearance, but the doctor showed that facial attractiveness would be best improved by bringing the chin forward due to a recessed chin making the nose look too prominent. When the chin was brought forward the result was so good.

I had a lower blephroplasty done at LaPrin back in 2016. They did not have an eye speciality but at the time I had it done there wasn't as much information available as there is now. The experience itself with the clinic was good, they were professional and my translator was so kind. I was there alone and she supported me the whole time even rode the taxi back to my hotel after the procedure. 1 week post-op the doctor could already tell I would need a touch up and said I could come back after it fully healed. The touch up would be fully covered other than anesthesia fee. However, I just didn't have the time to travel back for this. I'm looking to do a revision this year and my shortlist is Luho so far, but I am here doing more research and looking for suggestions.

Hello, I have been to Korea twice. I'm a female in my late 30s and have been to Korea twice and plan on going again. I had a lower transconjunctival blephoroplasty in Seoul in 2016. Looking to go again this year for revision fat grafting of lower eye along with fat grafting in the upper eye. Also considering chin reduction and jaw slimming procedures.

Hello This is probably an unusual request for this forum. I have been forced to leave Russia for 3 years now, but I still have not managed to learn English well, and I am ashamed of it I doubt I will be able to understand medical terms. I have not found a person who is not connected with clinics. I had to refuse surgery last year because of this, but now I still need it. So I am asking here, maybe there are options.

Hi there, I’m a female in my 40s heading to Seoul in September for lower eyelid transconjunctival surgery. Actually, some online consultations have suggested full lower bleph, but I'm only interested in the transconjunctival approach. I have two top choices and only want one more, but it's too much information and overwhelming. So far, online chats with: Wink(Dr. Seunghyup Choi) Link (Dr.Jung) Luho(Dr. Park) Roi (Dr. Young) Etonne (Dr. Cho) Note: Didn’t talk to the doctors. Just texts with consultants, but these are the doctors I'm paired with if interested in F2F consultations. Prices range from 2,6 to 5,5 mil KRW (don't want to get specific because different quotes for different recommendations). Wondering if anyone has experience with any of these clinics or doctors, even if not for this specific surgery. Much appreciated.
