  1. Yes I do have an overbite..which was sort of remedied through a twin block and orthodontics but it still quite present. I have read and relating to the journal (which was very interesting again-thanks) that these two are usually related.
Yes I saw someone with so called "short face syndrome" similar to me have a successful sliding genioplastly to remedy the issue. But I have also heard what you said with genioplasty causing the labiomental sulcus to be increased in severity so I am a bit confused. I am seeing a Maxofacial specialist this Sunday so I will discuss with him and post more info then (:
    Thank you again!

  2. Thank you so much..the video was great, very informative and interesting. I think I will try it as a preview like you said because it produced a good result for the lady in the video..I don't have a hugely receded chin a little bit and a shorter face and deep labiomental sulcus so I think this will be good to try and if I like it I will be able to go the surgical route if I want..I will research a bit more on fat graft because I didn't know it was an option for the chin..I assumed more for the areas like cheeks and forehead.
Thank you so much again (:

  3. Thats good~ Were the results that drastic and how long did it stay? Oh..is it very painful? They appear to be tiny needles but you never know haha..
I also have a teeth grinding problem and it is supposed to fix that as well..but I think as you said, see how the results are and see if it helps it or otherwise It might be a facial bone problem.
I will see..thanks for your helpful reply (:

  5. Hello!

I was searching the forum for a thread on this and there doesn't appear to be so I will make one here. Long-ish story short, I recently went to my dentist and I discussed with him my concerns of a facial assymetry problem I have- one side is bigger and more 'square' than the other side. He felt my face and said it is probably due to a build up of muscle from over working that area from my teeth grinding and suggested trying botox before trying anything surgical.
I was wondering if any of you have any experience of botox for slimming muscles and the jaw and if you could give me opinions/advice?

    Thanks so much in advance~

    Tara

P.s. I am still going to Korea in September regardless 😄😄

  6. You don't have a square jaw at all! You have a great face shape..I could only dream of having a defined face like yours with a chin..In fact, I hope I can get a face like yours when I do improve my face

  7. Ok thanks  I was hoping that's what you mean..you just confused me for a second haha. In Korea, Idk if you have looked at this already or that's what you are talking about..but that procedure is what they call 'hip up surgery' if you search it in Google the clinics that perform it come up, because they only call it that in Korea. I think it would be more the surgeons area in S. America since it is farrrr more popular over there and was established there.

  8. What if it is a procedure such as FC that isn't available or common in their country??
I agree though as a whole though..it depends what sort of outcome and style you want and what the surgeons are experienced doing and doing procedures on.

  9. I wouldn't discount a clinic based on what they quote you online. This us just a base 'foreigner' quote they give to everyone, it is subject to change once you have a face to face consult and depends on your situation and how much of a discount they give you. 'All for one' procedure is coined by and is signature to Banobagi, it would likely just be a VLine or FC procedure at EverM..and you can request that as an optional?

  10. Good choice of clinics you have got..they are similar to mine. I have seen some good results for FC from them (:
Regen is overpriced and hasn't had a very good name, since it is one of the really big clinics (I don't know the legibility of these opinions though, so don't quote me on it!).
Facial contouring is usually between 6~8m KRW from what I have read and been quoted..it depends on the clinic and your discounts and situation.
Fat grafting is usually between 1.5~2.5m KRW, so you have had a really overpriced quote from REGEN.

  11. I have seen a lot of reviews by locals on Korean blogs of JW and Item for facial contouring/ Vline and Breast Augmentation.

  12. Yes, it is done sometimes..It depends on how many procedures she did and also the skill of the surgeon and how quickly they can perform the surgeru, whether it is a quite complex procedure or if there where any complications. But it seems a bit odd too go that many hours over, maybe one or two hours. Maybe they underestimated?
I hope they didn't, as Jenna stated, leave her for a while..but I am sure that is unlikely. I don't agree with it though.
A curtain around the bed is pretty standard in most public hospitals around the world, at least she has one for privacy haha.
It all sounds a bit disorganised to me and I hope she recovers well..Thank you for letting us know about it because there are not many reviews on Opera.

  13. From what I have heard:
    Double eyelid- 12/13 y.o
Facial Contouring/ Rhinoplasty- 15~17* y.o depending on the clinic
    Breast/Liposuction/Muscle reduction/Feminine surgeries- 18~20 y.o

    *JW, Banobagi

  14. A big regimen of beauty and skin care products look up 'korean skincare' or 'korean beauty regime'.
They [some] usually use 8~12 skincare products morning and night and wear sheet masks weekly and use cleansing devices to exfoliate their skin and clean out their pores. They also go to dermatologists alot as well.
Apart from that it is due to good genetics, BB cream and climate.

  15. These are what I know~

    Fat graft▶▶1.5~2m₩
    Breast Fat▶▶4~5m₩ (?)
    Alarplasty▶▶3~4m₩
    Epicanthoplasty▶▶1~2.5m₩

Maybe about.. 7~8m₩ (approximately without hair transplant) .

Yes I am sure you could do this at once..they are not major surgeries so I think ot would be fine

  16. Hello cyberbeauty!
Welcome to purseforum and nice to meet you~
I am going to do facial contouring in Korea as well, it is far more affordable as you said (:
When are you thinking of going?
If you are doing it primarily for aesthetic purposes and less orthodontic have you considered long face surgery which is specifically for people with longer madibles like you? It is less intensive I believe than two jaw and two jaw is done foremost for alignment and orthodontic issues and is quite a complex surgery with a long recovery period. Just an idea..but you will have to ask and get and opinion from the doctors in your consultations.
EverM does have the advantage of being a dental clinic so it appears reasonably reputable for orthodontic cases..however from what I have read and seen they are more popular for these sort of related surgeries and their aesthetic surgeries are secondary. From what I have seen, researched and read, it is not a hugely popular with native Koreans/locals for facial contouring which I always believe is a good indication as locals usually have local knoweledge. I think they are reputable but I don't know anything about them personally as some forummers on here do so I would ask them about it. I don't believe or have seen any negative reviews about them either.
JW clinic is quite popular with both locals and foreigners for facial contouring procedures and natural looking teardrop breast augmentations. I have seen a lot of before and afters from locals of JW and they are quite impressive! I don't know much about their two jaw procedures but they are good for other facial surgeries I believe.
Another clinic, the first clinic I read about this 'long face surgery'.. is another clinic popular with locals for facial procedures, Item Clinic.
http://www.itemcliniceng.com/face/item-face10.html ← this is there page for long face surgery you can have a look at as a reference to see if it would be something you would like.
You don't need to know Korean or have a translator (avoid this aspect if you can!) in most of these bigger clinics as most have in house translators or the doctors speak English.
That's wise to avoid those clinics because they are the 'factories' of the clinics and even though some people may get good results from them, this is pretty hit and miss.
I am sorry I am not that knoweledgable or have much information on two jaw surgery but I hope I helped a little bit~
    Good luck~♥♡

  17. I might be wrong but I think there is a certain ammount of resentment and disappointment for Asians who come back to their native country and only speak English. Locals find it really sad and as a bit of an erosion of their culture in a way with you appearing to be 'whitewashed'.. Koreans are very proud people and are very protective of their cultural heritage and blood and that is why most of the older generation despise interracial marriage.
That is just my observation..and might not be true..but it is interesting and funny that it happened so obviously to you..It is also kind of sad in a way xD At least you can speak Korean and could see the shift.

Btw.. between 1~1.8 m is what I have been quoted for fat graft on kakao from different clinics.
