motherhen, thanks for the kind advice! How are you doing? I was going to mention this filler that I found to you in case you are interested, Sculptra, that is supposed to be very effective and relatively safe. It stimulates collagen production in one's body therefore produce natural volume. I would consider it for my forehead.
I am considering bone surgery and not worried about sagging because I need a mid/lower face and neck lift anyway and was planning on having one. But I feel my bone needs to be reduced first before lift. Do you see a problem with cheekbone and jaw surgery first, then maybe in 6 months, do the lifts?
makeover, can't believe either that we end up on going over on the same days! You are so sweet in offering help Thanks a lot! We should def hook up and recover together. Would love to hang out and enjoy the city also. I'll send u my digits thru email and lets talk before our trip.
I can only imagine how you feel night before the big day!! Be strong and hang in there and think of happy moments in life .. time will pass and beofre you know it, you'll be done and the surgery is all behind you. Look forward to hearing your good news.
I have meant to write in this thread but you know how summer can get in the way of your plans when the little ones need to be entertained
First of all, I am so sorry for what you had to go thru with Dr. Kwon, the once nice and humble doctor did what seems to be a jekyll and hyde on his patient post op. I wonder why such a drastic change.. was it 'coz he didn't know how to take criticism? If so, he chose the wrong profession, I would say. No plastic surgeon can satisfy his/her patient 100% and at all times, so hearing patients "complain" is part of the job I would think. Turning defensive and saying things like I am not God is plain stupid. It shows how poorly he handles disagreement.
Is there any chance that he or his peeps saw your post prior to the consultation about had you known the result you would have not done the surgery and got pissed off and was taking it out on you at the consultation?
Whatever it is, I used to have Aone on my list for facelift which I would do at my 2nd trip to Seoul, but I am dropping it now, not because of the attitude of the doctor, but more due to the skills. I am not sure he is one of the best for the procedure any more.
I am wondering what you would do instead now since you were in Seoul. You don't have to disclose here if you don't feel comfortable. I feel you are well versed in the PS world, you'll find a better alternative there. So best of luck and take care.
Glad you guys got to meet and do the consult together in Seoul! Little support from fellow PS buddies in a foreign country must feel real good and, I imagine, would go a long way. I hope I'll have the same support when I go later.
How do you like your results so far? gernic, I am also planning to do the lower bleph, but don't see a whole lot of info here about that procedure. Would you mind letting us know which clinic and doctor you had?
Your eyes look gorgeous! View did a superb job, particularly with the creases. You recovered real well also, I guess that has something to do with a non-incisional. Happy for you and thanks for sharing.
If I have to pick a bone with them epi could have been done to give a more shapely result
shan_shan,
I am so sorry you had such a bad experience with TL. If I read it right, you are not happy with the result of any one of the 4 procedures you had with them?? That's just a shame after spending so much time, energy and money on it! I can feel your pain.
I think you need to talk to them calmly, laying out your case as to why the result is unsatisfactory, and ask for revision. Did you ask about their revision policy before you sign up for the first surgery? if so, what did they say then?
When you get back to them later, I think you need to prepare well beforehand, with before and after, including all the important communications you had with them. Let them know that you'll post all of the facts on all major forums/websites, English, Korean and Chinese if they don't help correcting the problems.
Also, did you have a realistic expectations before surgery? did you communicate the exact result you want to the docs? If you like, feel free to send me your pics, before and after, to my kakao ID: MrsKing so I can give you my 2 cents if you like.
K, thanks as always for the great info that helps me to make the right decision when I go later. Also a big plus for Dr. Kim and Dream in my mind that he could effectively reduce volume without causing asymmetry. For me, I may ask to do the lower jaw line area also, and sagging is not a concern.
How do you like your acculift result now? Would it still be too early to tell? Is it a good way to reduce the volume of upper cheek area when bone is not the underlying issues based on your experience? Does it help in defining the lower jaw line in your case?
Whyar, great to hear you are done with the surgery already. Would you mind letting us know your procedure and the doctor? How is it so far? Happy healing.
Good luck tomorrow oronic! EverM has very good reputation and track record on facial contouring, so you will be in good hands. Everything will be just fine and you'll enjoy your new look.
Thanks for sharing your experience with JW! I'm happy for you for a successful eye surgery with Dr. Choi. When you have time, would you mind sharing more about why you like the result? Was your case an invasion one? Did you do incisional?
Thank you for being such a sweet girl! I appreciate all of the info you gathered for me while busy learning about the doctors and clinics for your surgery. God bless your heart.
Good luck with Dr. Paik and Dr. Yi at 101. Talk to us here when you need support or just someone to talk to. I know I'll be rooting for you all the way.
Regarding the ATM limit, I'm assuming that you are using your bank's debit card for ATM withdraw, in that case, I would like to remind you that besides the limit the ATM machine has, your own bank that issued the debit card also has its own daily limit, which is usually US$1K-1.5K/day for US banks. So, try not to rely on ATM withdraw for surgery payment if its a big number.
cloris, thanks for the info about DA. That's too bad Dr. Lee is turning his clinic into a factory.. how could he even remember who is who that he is operating on when he does 4-5 in a day!! Is this because June is the high season already?? I really hope these docs can slow down a bit ..
Is there a low season any more now that international patients flock in from all over the places? By the time I go, I may have to look for some less known clinics/docs.
What to do if you don't like your forehead after fat graft?
