Crissy, hope you are ok and doing well! Did you eventually decide to go with Dr. Wang? Have you had the surgery already? Curious why you are nervous.. God bless and be strong. We are rooting for you here
mimi, have you decide which doctor/clinic you are going with? I would love to see your acculift result if you wouldn't mind sharing.. Are you going to have just acculift? or the Accu sculpting and lifting that you posted on the other thread? I am interested in knowing how the latter works.
Thanks Mai for being so helpful. Hope we'll hear from Jinyip. Best wishes for her and her surgeries. Be strong,
Jinyip, we are with you and pray for the best outcome for you!
Anyway, thanks for starting this thread so peopple can get more concentrated info about DA.
I would like to know if any forumer has been to DA and had nose and eye jobs there? How were the results? I know their website is pretty good with nice pics for B&A, but I just like to hear the forumers' own experience to be absolutely sure.
Hope someone would share their experience in this thread.
Would you mind sharing a little more about your friends experience with I shaped silicone? I have pretty much decided to go with I shaped silicone that is ultra soft type, hearing you saying the issues that your friends had makes me anxious again.
I understand what you said about thin skinned people whose implant shapes show through the skin, which doesn't look good. I have one friend that has the problem and my skin is close to hers, which makes me a bit worried.
How did your friends who have extrusion problem with silicone revise the problem? Rib cartilage? if so, which doctor did they do it with?
K, would you mind letting us know which method, open or closed rhino, Dr. Park from Dream prefers for his patients? Are you going to have an open one or closed in May?
If I just want to have a simple primary bridge augmentation with ultra soft silicone and a little lift at my tip (with septum), which method would you recommend?
Again, I am so sorry you have this happened to you!
I was trying to reply to you yesterday on something I found from realself web site that I think maybe applicable here, but after I typed up the whole thing, I got an error on submit. Let me try again.
I was looking for filler injection for my depressed forhead on realself web site, where one can get very good advices from many board certified plastic surgeons on various procedures. On which filler would be the best choice for the forehead and area between the brows, one surgeon's opinion caught my eyes. He said he wouldn't recommend any filler in that area simply because the area has many thin-walled veins that fillers can easily get in and block the circulation, causing fluid retention. I was wondering in your case if any small tissue bits were mixed with fat cells that got injected in your forehead, eventually caused the problem in your small veins? or somehow the fat cells are pressing on the small veins causing the fluid retention?
Has anyone done any type of lift and had great result and would like to share?
There are several types of lifts: forehead/brow lift, mid face lift and lower face/neck lift. I am more focused on the mid face lift to correct my rather heavy lower face. Also thinking of combine the lift with Acculift to reach a better slimming result. Haven't been able to come up with a shortlist of doctors/clinics.
Any comment/sharing experience would be very much appreciated.
2 close friends of mine had silicon implants for bridge more than 20 years ago. I imagine they had the hard silicon type as K mentioned before since it was done so long ago. Neither had any issue over he years. I feel they themselves have forgotten the fact that they have implants in them.
K, I don't know any info about this. But I do have a couple of co-workers who have relatives in Seoul. WOuld you like me to ask them to get some info from their relatives there? If so, what kind of nurse are you looking for? The professional one with license and medical training or just a nanny?
motherhen, I am going in mid Sept and plan to stay for 4 weeks. Lets keep in touch on that.
Not everyone has significant amount of ABT in the armpit. But if an incision is planned, it'd be good to find a doctor who can handle ABT and gland in case.
I was also looking at a plastic surgeon here in US in case I don't find anyone in Seoul. But you would think women in Korea would have the same problem so there should be demand...
Good to know that somebody understands the problem I was talking about
I know what I want to do, just haven't found a Korean clinic that has good experience doing it. But again, I haven't been actively looking. Will let you know later if I find anything.
What I want to do is to do lipo in armpit, the surrounding areas, and upper arms. I also want the surgeon to do an incision strategically/hidden inside armpit so ABT and glands tissue can be taken out. Lipo alone won't solve the ABT and gland (sweat) issues. Extra skins can be excised at the same time to create a sightly armpit
I know someone who did the incision in the US, and after a while, scars were invisible.
Would you mind sharing the list here with us? I'm sure everyone understands that that is just one piece of info to consider, and everyone has to do their own research to reach a decision in the end.
Hi Quick, thanks for sharing that with us! Luckily, I don't shave there since there is nothing to shave for me tbh, I think I have multiple problems in that area as well as the upper arms: mainly fat, ABT (since it has sensitivity around the cycles), and overdeveloped glands. I was hoping to use surgery to solve all these to produce a lean armpit and upper arm area so it would look good wearing the tank top.
Hi Mindy, thanks for digging it up and gave me your take on it! I tried just now, seems like the extra stuff is there even without the bra : Or are you talking about the kind of bra that scoops fat away from the underarm area and pushes it to breast? I had some like that, not comfortable and did not solve the problem.
Again so sorry to hear that your nose didn't turn out the way you liked and worst of it is that Dr is not willing to help at all! you should tell them you will post your story and their lack of help in this forum and/or youtube if they don't get back to you at a certain date. This is one of the largest PS sites for Korean clinics. And they should care about their reputation here.
I am still curious how the new nose doesn't fit your face.. if you could share some pics here or thru PM, I'd appreciate it very much!
Mai, thanks for reminding me about declaring the cash if I later decided to do it that way.
Still trying to figure out a better way for cash payment.
Here is what I did when we traveled to Italy last year. My bank, which is Bank of America (BOA), informed me that they have an agreement with one of the largest bank in Italy that BOA customers can withdraw Euro from this Italian bank's ATM without being charged for any fee, and the best part is that the exchange rate is that of the Visa/Master's which is the best for customers. The way the BOA manager said to me made it sound like such an agreement is very popular among major banks from all countries who are in some kind of association. I would imagine Korea would have a bank that have similar agreement with one of the the American/British/European banks. If so, we could withdraw cash in Korea when we need without any surcharge and at the best rate. The only problem I can see is that if there is a limit on how much one can withdraw per day, and often we need the money right away when we got there for surgeries.
I'll check with my bank again to see what the limit is if there is one.
