  1. Did you send them your picture? Perhaps this can help them in answering your ques?Coz I think is pretty hard for them to quote you specifically mandible reduction without seeing you in person. E.g. normally when you reduce mandible length, the surgeon will need to shave the angle to make the v-line looks nicer, and sometimes your chin will become shorter and they'll need to do T-osteotomy etc. They can't tell you how much work is needed until the surgeon sees you at consultation.

  2. I heard JW is currently going through legal proccess on this case. Anyways, no matter what the story is, this girl hasn't been completely honest in the Chinese blog either. I stay neutral towards this story.

  3. Dr Yoon from EverM doesn't speak English and they do not have an English consultant. They do have a Mandarin speaking translator, Gahee.

  4. You just go to their website and type into the chatbox. Brian will be the one replying you and it's quite instant if he's free. (Korean office hours i guess)

  5. Heard Teosyl's Redensity is gaining popularity for tear trough.

Btw are you pushing your trip earlier or later (coz of national holiday)? If you going later, I'd suggest you to go after 10 Oct. Since it's China holiday 1-7 Oct. I'm guessing it will be busy with mainland Chinese that 2 weeks.

  6. Hi tuneup, Thanks for your thorough review. Would like to get more opinion from you. My face is slightly asymmetric which makes my lips looks slanted, and my under-eye band makes me look like I have dark circles.

I'm actually debating between fat grafting and Restylane Sub-Q on lower cheek, would you please let me know why you'd prefer Restylane over FG? Also for undereye, I think FG is even riskier than Perlane, that's why I think I'll go with Perlane. But your migration problem is kinda worrying. What's your opinion on this?

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks Kkim, I'm asking this coz I though most rhinoplasty surgeons are adopting this method: http://koreanplastisurgery.blogspot.kr/2014/07/korean-rhinoplasty-at-april31-ps-clinic_21.html

According to Dr Kim in the Youtube, this method can prevent your nasal tip from moving upwards. I checked JW's methodology and believe they are using this method as well. Do you think this is a new method AFTER you've done your surgery? Or was Dr Suh already using this method on you?

  8. Hey kkim, can you tell me more about your tiplasty? What do you mean shifting back to original shape? Do you mean your lengthen nose tip trying to pull upward?

I've been doing research on JW's method, and from the website, it says "After rearranging the cartilage, the stretched skin becomes tight and tries to return cartilage to the original position. There has to be another operation controlling this tendency and maintaining its shape." If that's true, your situation shouldn't be happening. (See picture)

I'm looking to have slight lengthening with cartilage and don't want to have silicone implant if possible. But is it common for it to shift back to it's original position?

  9. Motherhen, so sorry to hear what happened to you. Perhaps you can go to see a good doctor in your country for a consultation and see what he says?I've been doing many consultations locally before heading to Seoul. It's always good to know there's someone to go to in case anything happened (touch wood). Although they all cost money, my local consultation actually makes me understand all the procedures a lot better. My decision on what procedures to undergo actually changed so much after consulted 6 different local PS surgeons/dermatologists/dentists.

  10. Last time I talk to Regen, many of their experienced doctors are no longer performing surgeries. Read my past post and do your own research.

  11. 365MC is an obesity centre. They have many different kind of procedures. They will help you with decision making during consultaion. But it's always good to shortlist a few right procedures you want. Main question to ask yourself is:

    1) Invasive or non-invasive? Usually, non-invasive procedures are for smaller amount of fat and it takes around 3 months to see the results. You'll need to maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise. For invasive methods, results are immediate, but there will be risk of scarring.
    2) Are you against anesthesia?
    3) For non-invasive methods, area will be one of the factor. As some machines are not suitable for certain areas. E.g. Liposonix only works on fat layer of >2.5cm, and Coolsculpting only works on area that the machine 'head' can fit.
    4) How long are you staying in Korea? Some of the procedures at 365mc takes weeks to complete. E.g. their HPL program takes 30 days, Liquid Lipolysis takes 8 injections.
    5) Other procedures? If you are planning to have fat grafting as well, you cannot undergo any procedures with laser as it will destroy the fat cells.
    6) Is skin tightening one of the main thing you looking for? If so, anything with laser can have skin tightening effect.
    7) Price range

You should email them your criteria and ask them for suggestions.

  12. Haha please try and tell me and Kcouture the result! Well I'm sure the results will be visible as it's just like mini-lipo. Main question is on scarring and sagging, which is uncertain.

One common misconcept is losing fat=losing weight. This is totally NOT TRUE. Your muscles weight a lot heavier. For instance, 1 pound of fat takes up roughly 30.75 cubic inches of vol, which is approx 500 ml. So you should be happy that you can lose just 1 pound of pure fat.

Haha How will belly be included in hips? All of these are seperated "areas": inner thighs, outter thighs, abdomen, love handles, back, hips, banana roll.

  13. FG in Korea around 2-4m won. For fillers, you should consult your local dermatologist as it's an ongoing treatment. See it as facial or laser. I think on average, around US$500-800 per shot depends on area.

I'm not saying scarring is definite but make sure you are aware of the risk.

  14. Fillers are hyaluronic acid that your body will slowly absorb. This is a non-invasive and reversible procedure which any dermatologist can perform. Results usually last for 6-9 months.

Fat grafting is considered a plastic surgery which you'll need to be sedated when they harvest your fat. (Usually from thighs or waist). Any surgery will have risk of scarring. Fat grafting reabsorption rate range from 40-60%, depends on many factors include: individual body, living habits, surgeon's technique, fat quality, fat exposure before injecting, filter and concentration procedures, and even size of the syringe. Some surgeons also believe treating the fat with PRP can lower reabsorption rate. Anything that stays 3-month after the procedure will likely stay forever. Other risks of fat grafting includes calcification/lumps, irregularity, swelling and bruising, etc.

Highly suggest you to read this: http://www.exploreplasticsurgery.com/tag/fat-grafting/, esp The Art and Science of Fat Grafting – Part 1-4

" While the techniques in fat grafting have come a long way in the past fifty years, our understanding of exactly how it works has not come quite as far "

  15. What you are describing is just normal fat grafting. Many PS clinics do it. You should just look for a surgeon with good aesthetic sense. One thing about Korea PS clinics is that, they don't post that many B&A photos on their web. They only show you during consultation.

In fact, have you looked into fillers? A cleft chin can be easily corrected by non-invasive methods. As far as I know, Juverderm and Restylane SubQ can be good chin fillers. Altho these fillers are not long lasting, it's much cheaper and you can avoid scars from grafting, and no sedation is needed.
