  1. Hi @Hellobeauty you need to do more research. Both are blacklisted. Try looking at EU dental, the face dental, Girin, Regen and the View.

  2. Hi @zhenzz I paid 3 million for both eyes in low season 2016. Low season is March-May and Sept-Nov, basically during term times. High season is during high school and uni holidays. Dr Seo is the best for eyelid fat graft in my opinion. You can kakao Mvp and ask questions directly as I do not work for them so cannot answer about what Dr Seo does or does not do. I can only advise on what he did for me personally.

  3. Hi @michelleee, I am so sorry to hear you went back to Teium and now have ptosis/sleepy eye. Teium was on my blacklist after meeting a young Chinese patient with ptosis in one eye after her eye op with Dr Kwon at Teium in 2016. He may have been good in the past as he had books of his eye patients in his reception on his coffee table but I feel he may be too old now. I know how scared you must have felt wondering whether you could trust him again to do your revision and then to get a botched result must be devastating. You looked beautiful when I met you in SK with your bf.

Try my eyelid surgeon Dr Seo at mvp who did my revision and that of a Brit Chinese man who got botched lids fixed by Dr Seo. Mvp only charged me 3 million won in 2016 in low season for revision des, ptosis correction and lid fat graft and charged my friend 3.5 million won for the same in peak season in 2019. I am now going out with no eye makeup as he did my eyes so well, I have stopped putting eye shadow on my lids and 3 weeks ago my lipo anaesthetist complimented me by saying I had pretty eyes (no makeup) so you too can get back beautiful eyes! When SK clinics charge 5-9 million won for eyelid surgery, that is a major red flag in my opinion.

  4. Hi @krod2017, yes I am still on kakao. GNG did a bait and switch on me. On kakao they lured me with extremely cheap quotes for revision rhino but when I arrived for the consult, they said I couldn’t see the rhino surgeon of my choice as he does not do revisions and had to see another surgeon instead who does all their revisions. They pushed me to get x rays of not just my nose but of my cheeks and jaw with a lot of upselling and extremely high quotes (ie almost triple what they quoted me on kakao for revision rhino) and met 2 ladies in Korea who had flown in for v lines at gng and based on their results (hardly any jawbone was removed) would not choose gng for anything. I was so gobsmacked with both the price and doctor, bait and switch, I would never recommend GNG. Also heard their contouring surgeon may have left. The problem is that the models we see on Instagram get the best vip attention and who knows if their Instagram photos were photoshopped to make their results look even better, but ordinary folk may not get the best results as one poor asian girl from Canada found out when she got a bad revision rhino result there and had paid 13 million won! Needless to say GNG is on my blacklist. I have been kakao chatting with a real and ordinary ie not blogger patient of Girin’s Dr Lee who had fab zygoma reduction. I think ID was on the blacklist of hospitals? Or was that Grand? I get them muddled up. I have narrowed the best for price and ability down to Dr Oh at Regen and Dr Lee at Girin. But even blogger BQQ got a facelift elsewhere after zygoma reduction at Regen and my Chinese friend got a facelift after Girin, so it sounds like if you budget for zygoma reduction, you must budget for facelift too, just in case the face drops more after the swelling goes. I have had BK clinic and MVP say no to zygoma reduction for me and my UK max facial surgeon also said no. But Dr Oh said he could reduce my facial width by a cm on each side and I have not met Dr Lee of Girin. I do not like gambling. On the one hand, I want a dramatically smaller CD face but on the other hand I do not want to fly to USA for bone grafting and facial reconstruction if my bones collapse. Sigh.

What is your facial width? Mine is 14 cms as I am managing to keep my bmi to 18.3-18.5. So the question is, is it worth the risk to reduce my face width by 2 cms? Not to mention the titanium plate and screws and how my body may react and another flight a year later to remove.

  5. Hi @summer victoria, the prices quoted are good. From what I hear, Opera is known to charge low prices. I haven’t done any research on their results. Try to find patients who have had the surgeries you want at Opera.

  6. I thought she looked familiar. Thanks @krod2017. How are you? Are you also contemplating zygoma reduction? I have been researching Dr Lee at Girin and their quote is the best so far, after the sky high quotes from View who quote for bone contouring and facelift as they said I would need a facelift after facial contouring and needed v line with my zygoma reduction! View quoted me 6 mill for zygoma reduction, 12 million for v line and 12 million for facelift but they said because I had chin reduction to add another 2 million as the v line would then be a revision? Like do I really need all that? That totals 32 million won!!! Or around $30k! At least Girin did not try to upsell and quoted me less than 6 mill for their zygoma reduction. Sigh. I then applied to be a View model for discounted prices but they said they want foreign ladies, ie Caucasian I guess as they said they do not need Asian models as they can get Korean models any time. So yes, the results of these View Instagram models look great but they got massive discounts so could afford facial contouring with facelift. For ordinary ladies like us, we get charged full price so it is out of our price range.

  7. Really happy for you @sunnyaugust. Both my younger sister and I flew from the U.K. to Korea at different times to have our eyelids done by Dr Seo and like you it was fate as I arrived too late to attend my teium appointment so ended up just going to MVP. Glad I did as MVP was cheapest and I too felt I did not need to barter as the price was fair. Enjoyed reading your review. Brought back memories.

  8. My £2.4k UK bullhorn lip lift is still going strong at 2.5 years post. I would recommend Dr Mascaro in Florida who charged $2.5k I think. Ask @missy_sana of her experience with Dr Mascaro. We both had 2.5 million won vermillion lip lifts with Dr Choi at mvp after paying for bullhorn and then repaid for lip lifts bullhorn style in the uk and us respectively so ended up paying double.

  9. hi @dionysusable,

May I suggest you consider full face fat graft, especially in your upper eyelids as I initially thought you were older than 26. It would soften your features and make them more youthful. A chin implant would also help the side profile.

  10. Hi @Tremere,
I too had a long chin I called witchy poo chin (see my before photo attached). A friend told me she could recognise my side profile anywhere because of my chin! I felt gutted as it always bothered me even as a child and hated photos of my side profile. I thought my jawbone is too long for my face. I had even seen maxillofacial surgeons in the uk who said my chin was fine and I needed a premaxilla cadaver implant as I had a hypoplastic maxilla and another said I needed angle of jaw mandible implants as my jaw was too sharp! Thankfully I decided against.

I had my chin reduced in Feb 2016 by Mr Lucian Ion in London after a chance conversation during my rhino consult when he asked if I had any other concerns and then replied my chin could easily be fixed! I was gobsmacked. You can read my realself review with photos too. It cost £3k as I was having £7k barbie rib rhino in the same op for my droopy tip and to augment my nose bridge. He did a stellar job and seems to be the only one I know who uses the ultrasonic scalpel to shave bone. I saw immediate results postop, felt no pain, had minimal swelling, and could eat and drink immediately as it is far less traumatic and required no plate or screws like in korea. I am scared my body's immune system will react to titanium screws or any foreign body so am doubly pleased to have the chin bone just shaved through the mouth. Mr Ion called my before chin, strong and said he could easily soften and reduce which he did perfectly. Research who in your area uses the ultrasonic bone cutter or try my surgeon. It is the latest surgical technology and in my opinion revolutionises facial contouring surgery. He had initially suggested I try Korea but am so pleased I trusted him and his revolutionary surgical instrument. I had no preop x ray as he created a perfect chin aesthetically as one needs to see how the skin and tissues look too as one is shaving with precision.

Last year I had x rays at Regen for 50,000 won to be messaged the x rays so could see how the chin was shaped. I have no before x rays to compare. 50,000 won is still cheaper than imaging prices in the uk.

  11. Hi @miyumi, enjoyed reading your updates. The first drug was ketamine. I ask for benzo with opiate whenever I have twilight anaesthesia which is more conventional, as ketamine is also a hallucinogenic cheap street drug, horse tranquiliser and used in children in A+E. You can google ketamine.

The second anaesthetic would be propofol if a white milk like substance went into your iv and you were intubated. If it was twilight then benzodiazepine and an opiate but most likely it was general anaesthesia as v line involves bone cutting.

  12. Bring a bank statement showing where you got the money from, ie cash withdrawal and foreign exchange receipt. Bring hospital details of the surgery and cost. Yes declare but bring evidence it is not from money laundering. Hopefully you can explain on the customs declaration too.

Or bring under 10k and pay the difference on your cc.

  13. @Big-Dream plastic surgery is a journey with ups and downs. I worry that your suicidal tendencies may not cope with a negative result from surgery. It takes enormous stamina and patience to weather the bad with the good. Often times there is a wait of at least 6 months before revising a mistake. That sad, if you do your research thoroughly and talk to real patients and follow them for up to a year, you minimise the risks of a poor outcome.

If you want to send me your photos through the site’s direct messaging system, I can offer you my suggestions which at least gets you a head start in the right direction and you can take it from there.

  14. @Mimmiesmama your nose looks better now. Still swollen in the tip which is to be expected as this area is the last to deswell. Then it will look more defined. Your nose is narrower and has more height. How did Dr Kang add height? With septal, ear or rib cartilage or silicone?

Shame View's rhino surgeon uses gortex as I had a bad abscess 6 years post a gortex premaxilla implant else I like View's results too.

  15. @Mary Wang she had her facelift at Apgujeong Seoul Plastic Surgery clinic aka ASPS. The surgeon did a great job.

@angelface88 Fat graft is great for foreheads, temples, upper lids and malar cheeks. It tends not to last in the lower face as we move our mouths a lot so I drink +++ water every morning to reinflate my lower face. Not sure if the fat went down in my lower face due to getting lower face ulthera at the same time as fat graft top up but at least it is fixable with hydration.

  16. Hi @aj0llyaffair I called mine triple eyelid creases back in 2016 and got mine sorted with excisional double eyelid surgery to remove excess lid skin and fat graft to plump up the lid. Best anti-aging op in my opinion. I paid 3 million won to Dr Seo at MVP clinic in Seoul as it was a revision des with ptosis and fat graft in low season May of 2016.

Whomever you choose to do your surgery, hoping you too will have young symmetrical des eyes again. Here are my preop eyes vs my eyes still looking good almost 3 years on. x

  17. @gqwiththesteez I agree with you. I met Dr Oh and he spent an hour with me. I was told one could not have surgery until blood tests and investigations were done so I would need to factor in a day of tests before my op date if I planned to fly back for surgery.

Also a patient has to be fasted for general anaesthesia for at least 8 hours so it is impossible to have major surgery an hour later.

As this review has no photos of the opening poster, I have my doubts. Just my opinion.

  18. Sorry for your experience. I have never heard of botox for nasolabial folds as this area is treated with either fillers or a paranasal implant. Radiesse is not a permanent filler. It lasts each time in my nasolabial folds for 6-12 months, not years. I have had radiesse dermal fillers injected 1-2 times a year for over a decade and had no side effects.
