  1. I am so sorry to read this @Badnose. The first pf member to mention her rhino with Ion was Monique and she regretted her rhino but sadly consulted at April31 in korea which botched @NadineP. Then I had rib rhino with Ion unaware of Monique and was initially happy with the long nose postop but it shrank and got infected so I ended up with a short upturned nose. I consulted with gng and dodged a bullet. I also met another Brit who ended up with a short barbie nose and pined for her original long nose. The only way to resolve this without spending another $13k on rhino was to pay Mills £2450 for bullhorn liplift to shorten my philtrum. This made the short nose appear less short. Hopefully you might be able to try this if your philtrum is 20 mms like mine was but make sure you do not get your nasal sill cut or it will distort your nostrils. I worked in the nhs ENT department with jrj and others and would say pick a plastic surgeon for cosmetic rhino and ENT for septoplasty.

  2. Wow another great rhino and fc result by Dr Lee Dong Chan at the View! @Dp917 thank you for sharing!

  3. Superb result @Krisven for fc and rhino! I have made a note of your surgeon's name. Good to see a great result and View goes on my list of good Korean clinics!

  4. Fg is like a liquid FL with fillers but when the fg reabsorbs the face goes flat, deflates and sags at different rates in different places on your face, most notably worse deflation in the lower face as we eat and talk a lot. This then leaves the fat in the cheeks looking disproportionately larger and a weird smile. Then you are tempted to fly back for fg to the lower face but each time it does not stay and your cheeks get bigger with fg. At least with dermal fillers they dissolve at the same time around the face. I regret starting on the full face fg journey and only ever needed to gain a few lbs and just have to my temples and upper lids.

Have a look at Fresh clinic's instagram video showing Hong burrowing a long metal canula under the forehead skin, tenting and pulling it up. See how the process stretches the skin yet afterwards you are not allowed to put compression bandages on your face.

FG is really hard work as thigh fat in the face has a mind of its own and it is a constant battle to control the fg from ballooning in odd places and deflating in others. I now rely on makeup, hair and angles to try to hide my big wide fg cheeks.

I see you are going to proceed with all. Remember ps maintenance costs are huge and yet you are spending over $20k on one visit. Smas lasts 5 years. Fg needs top ups or a lift if you stop doing top ups. And imo you just lost too much weight so it would cost nil to eat more and regain your natural fat in your face.

  5. Hi @jsorchid, my concern is having seen your photos before and after your weight loss is that this aging is chiefly due to the weight loss. You looked normal weight with a face that I initially thought was your daughter's 2 years ago but now you have a yoga fit thin body but the price is volume loss in the face.

Fat grafting does stretch the skin as does a facelift as it separates the skin from the underlying connective and soft tissues. I saw a lady in her 50s who had had a facelift here in the uk and initially looked great but now looks very saggy so much so I now understand why I have been refused a facelift as it is a temporary fix and the downside is worse sagging in 3-5 years. I have been totally scared off facelifts now. I just need to look at her current face and think no way. And in your current photo your face does not need a facelift just volume from natural fat weight gain.

I always say that my thrifty gene saves me from impulsive decisions. A Chinese friend who met me in London on several occasions said my face looked better at 100 lbs than 95 lbs and I too noticed how his face looked better when he too had gained 7 lbs.

I worry for you that asps has lured you to spend maybe over 20 million won as you have been quiet over the total cost. Remember how you said you went to korea to just get your lower eyebags removed?

I know you said you wanted to stay thin and like your body but you weigh less than I do which means below a bmi of 18.5 and perhaps at our age we cannot afford to go under for fears of osteoporosis and fat loss from our faces.

I am a worrier and knowing how traumatic it was for me to see my face after the first fg disappeared and left me with a saggy face I had never had or seen such sagging in my life, and made me regret ever starting on a fg journey as it had indeed stretched my skin. In hindsight I should have just gained a few lbs of natural fat weight and drank more water and only had fg to my upper lids.

I saw a friend have threadlift after extreme weight loss and her face looked windswept tight. I wish she had not lost so much weight as her before face with some weight looked so pretty and youthful.

You can still cancel for a refund. Somewhere I have the timetable for korean refunds. I just think both fg and smas procedures is too much separation and loosening of skin. As @Gats said you need to research fg at asps as we only know it for FLs and why did a 40 year old need 4 FLs? Is this an inherent flaw of FLs?

If I were you I would just get bags removed and ptosis correction with skin lid excision and removal and while in korea eat and gain back 5 lbs. This will naturally fill out and lift your face. Fg and smas is like 2 facelifts at the same time. Remember how Korea photoshops after photos! Best to meet real patients in person and follow them for at least a year postop. It concerns me asps has not mention how shortlived one fg is and not discussed free top up?

  6. Wow it's like reading your personal diary! Really enjoy following your journey. You went to the exact 2 clinics I went to...asps and mvp. But I couldn't get past the consultant at asps to meet the ps as she flatly said I did not need smas. lol. Well if Dr Seo does smas with muscle cutting then try him but if not then pay double for asps as they seem to do lots of smas facelifts and you know the head ps at asps is good as he did a FL on a famous pf member.

Ptosis correction should be done with skin trimming. You could do eyes with Seo and smas fl at asps but then you are looking at 16 million won total! Waiting for your next installment to see what happened next and your surgery results!

  7. Wow looks like Opera is a big clinic. Reading keenly. Do continue to keep us posted. I had tummy lipo twice after 3 kids and a michelin tyre around my lower waist. You can stay slim then but add volume to your face with fg as smas does not add volume.

  8. Oh no @jsorchid, do you think that if you regained some weight your face sagging would go? Maybe the drastic weight loss has caused the sagging and when you put on say 5 lbs, the face will lift with natural fat? Have you seen what you look like lying down to see what a FL might look like? Do you like what you see or will it be too tight and maybe just gain some weight back and save all your money and just get the lower eyebags removed? I think I shall stop at 98-99 lbs as I don't want sagging and am fearful this will happen at 94 lbs and then I shall be in your boat wanting to fly to korea for smas. You must be in Korea right now. No time to regain some weight to save you money. Well if you must just stick with Dr Seo at mvp. I am really enjoying being blonde. Maybe getting a new hairstyle and highlights, regain some weight, and just get the eyebags done would be sensible for you?

  9. Both look like good clinics. I would say regen is better for zygoma reduction and view for v line so it depends on what kind of fc you are doing.

  10. It's a short, over-dissected nose. I am glad you eventually got it fixed in China. Your fixed nose looks beautiful. Thanks for warning readers of tlps rhino.

  11. I had vermilion liplift with Dr Choi at mvp then bullhorn liplift with Miss Mills in the uk 6 months later as vermillion did not last as it was skin only. Maxfax surgeon Miss Mills did a proper liplift with trimming muscle and skin which has lasted now almost 2 years and counting, so make sure your facelift is smas with muscle cutting and not just skin.

  12. 4.5 mill for eye bag removal! That is way too high. That's more than uk prices. Looks like I will be back at mvp when I am allowed smas. Really annoying to be denied this procedure at my mature age when some younger get it done! Good luck getting permission to proceed. What if I am still denied smas at age 60?!

  13. Hi @Chinnie you have what I had (see images) and I think chin shaving would correct your strong chin like I had with sonopet, an ultrasonic knife. No postop pain or swelling with immediate results. I paid £3k on top of my rhino to add chin reduction sonopet. Look into who does sonopet in your area. Then fat graft to soften and add volume to your face like I did if you like but the chin shaving is what is most needed for now.

  14. Really sorry to read this @krod2017. I can see the white scarline. I had kenalog injection into my raised white keloid bullhorn scar and that worked to flatten and lessen the white scar. Have you spoken to a dermatologist to see what they advise or you could ask doctors for an opinion on rs?

  15. Absolutely not @Chinnie. My docfinder quotes listed double jaw for me and I did not need it. Just as you do not need double jaw.

  16. Thank you sooooo much @touni27 for your thread and posts! It's a brilliant idea to show and do all the research for girls obsessing over whether to get zygoma reduction but are stuck at not wanting to risk facial sagging or bone malunion complications.

I love how many examples you show of celebs with wide beautful faces. And I agree tweaking something else draws attention away from the cheeks. For me I am using long hair to hide my cheeks in public and realised even HYS does this in her ig selfies? She uses her hair, hands or cap to cover part of her face to give the illusion of a smaller face. I cannot accept that we need to break our cheekbones and then plate and screw the fractures to reduce our cheekbones by 1-2 cms like leg lengthening when we have to balance this with facial skin and soft tissue sagging, muscles not reattached properly, osteoporosis after menopause shrinking our bones anyway at up to 3% a year in the first 5-7 years. In fact I recall my paternal grandmother shrank to under 5 feet in height with a hunched back from kyphosis/osteoporosis so can't imagine what would happen to facial bones weakened by iatrogenic fractures. We have no longterm follow-up on girls who get zygoma reduction.

I am waiting for better surgical advancements. For instance why aren't korean surgeons simply shaving the zygoma with the new ultrasonic knife sonopet like used by my UK ps on my chin so not cutting with adding screws? Why not make a small incision in front of the ear like a facelift and then shave the protruding side zygoma? Why the need to go through the mouth and cut through both the maxilla and zygoma bones?

  17. Do more research @SheOnlyLooks25. I just found out that uvom is blacklisted for staff writing fake reviews. Remember find real patients! I chatted for months with Rebecca from Australia who went to mvp in 2015 and she shared so many photos so I knew she was real. The best clinic is the one that gives real patients with similar noses to yours a good result. Talking to real patients is key so keep looking for a real patient who had revision rhino you like who had silicone. I know one LA lady got her silicone replaced after 15 years by Dr Hong at gng and looks fab but then if you are pushed onto Seong like I was, you are not getting Hong who imo is excellent based on his work on real patients.

  18. PM @krod2017..She had botched rhino and nerve injury from v line at tlps.

  19. I agree @Chinnie. I had sunken temples which accentuated my wide cheeks but one round of fg to the temples and the cheeks don't stick out sideways. Fat graft means no more fillers! Fat grafting is like remodelling the face like a clay model.
