  1. Hi @Tourmaline102083 in my opinion the top 2 in Korea for face fg are Dr Seo at Mvp clinic and Dr Hong at Fresh clinic. My case was more challenging as a 50+ yo ajumma. Dr Seo is cheaper and board certified in plastic surgery and Dr Hong is not board certified. Both deliver great results. I chose Dr Seo as he is cheaper and board certified and my full face fg from Feb 2018 is still going strong today March 2019 (after trying DAPRS clinic 3x for fg 2016-2017 and reabsorbing).

Look at the instagram photos for both mvp and fresh. Here's one from mvp's Dr Seo (zygoma reduction, fat graft and lift).

  2. Thank you @lizluv90 for continuing to share your facial contouring surgeries with updates and photos. It is really helpful. I am still building up courage to book Dr Oh for posterior zygoma reduction. He is the only one in the world I would trust to reduce my zygomas by 1 cm on each side. It took a lot of courage to go blonde but I did it before 60 so maybe before 60 I will be strong enough to book Dr Oh.

  3. @medicaltrashjunkie well done on your des + ptosis correction with Dr Seo. I had him do my revision des + ptosis correction in May 2016 (read my mvp journey in my thread how to go from 50+ to 20+ https://beautyhacker.com/forums/topic/964094-how-to-go-from-50-to-looking-20-with-plastic-surgery-rejuvenation/ ) and the crease is still holding well. No hooding. Good that you got ptosis correction as this addresses the muscle. Getting just des is trimming skin which may sag again over time in my opinion. You are brave to post a day 2 photo as my eyelids were swollen and bruised initially but by day 3 I looked more photogenic and shopped at lotte. Wearing sunglasses is the norm in Gangnam as so many go there for plastic surgery. No one bats an eyelid. Happy healing! Drink bromelain pineapple juice in a can in the seven eleven stores. Helps with bruising and take arnica pills and apply arnica cream too. xx

  4. Hi @tsuyyu , welcome! Firstly may I add how pretty and tall you are! The photos where you say your nose is lopsided are not straight photos. Your smile is lifted more on one side which then raises that side of the nose up more. You stand with uneven shoulders so your posture is not straight. In the middle good photo your shoulders sit balanced and your nose is beautiful.

You mention the 2 clinics that I would never recommend. Please read through this site for real patient experiences of @krod2017 and @NadineP who got botched rhinos at April31. I can only recommend Dr Hong at gng who did a silicone rhino nicely on a lady from LA but if you are a revision they may swap you for Dr Seong who creates big masculine noses for an exorbitant price in my opinion.

I have learned throughout my 20 year ps journey that with each operation comes a new imperfection so each op brings risk. Fat graft left me with a small lump in the middle of my forehead when I frown, bullhorn liplift has left me with my upper lip cupid off centre, en bloc implant removal with lift has left me with mismatched nipples, one 1 cm larger than the other, rib rhino revision left me with wonky nostrils etc. You have to accept minor flaws else you risk ps addiction and ending up with a massive flaw. Only if a major flaw do you risk revision rhino. It is imprecise for 1-2 mm changes when cutting skin.

  5. @intxx5w4 wow you got a bargain price! Thank you for the tips on reviewing with photos. I am not shy! lol. I got a quote for 7 million won from Regen for zygoma reduction cash and book now or 8 million won if I came back and booked. If your review was a zygoma reduction, I'd be on a plane now. Beautiful jaw reduction. The scans show Dr Oh trimmed a lot to give you a v line mandible! Much more than the ones I saw on 2 ladies who went to gng and paid more. Definitely see a difference as your chin was masculine and square and now soft, rounded and feminine and the angle of mandible is also softer. I had chin reduction in the uk so can notice! I remember Dr Oh saying he would have done my chin reduction differently after seeing my x rays. I know I would look 30-50% better with 1 cm off each side of my posterior zygoma as he suggested and finally have a small korean face but I am scared for now.

Happy healing and thank you again for sharing a detailed review. I am still waiting to find a reviewer with a 15 cm wide face like mine undergo zygoma reduction at Regen to give me more courage.

  6. Wow so that is what a brow lift does! I am trying to reduce the distance between my eyes and brows as I think my gap is too big! Opposite of brow llift. lol

  7. I had a keloid or hypertrophic scarring from bullhorn LL which flattened with kenalog steroid injection. Try kenalog injection @SheOnlyLooks25. I had the injection a year postop and it still worked.

  8. Hi @heatherle , try Dr Seo at MVP. My 49 yo sister is flying to Korea to get her eyes done by him in a matter of days. He did my eyes and is a perfectionist.

  9. Have a look at Dr John Burns in Dallas Texas. He is one of the best breast fat transfer surgeons in America and much safer than breast implants. Breast fat transfer is gaining in popularity as more and more ladies report breast implant illness.

  10. Well imo I think all 3 have had ps...ie regular facial fg, botox so no wrinkles, lip lift as they all have the typical central lip lift which shortens the philtrum and which gives a rabbit type of look to the upper lip (typical after bullhorn LL), maybe even a facelift or threadlift for a sharp contour and of course each photo on instagram may be photoshopped for a clear complexion.

  11. I agree with fat grafting theory. I would also guess she may have had a rhino as her tip is very upturned and as we age, the tip droops so for it to be so upturned in her 40s would suggest at least tip rhinoplasty.

  12. For ladies in the UK with saline implants with silicone outer shell or with silicone implants who worry there may have been a silent intracapsular rupture, either see your GP for referral to plastics or breast clinic for a scan or pay for a private scan. If ruptured, one of the best explant surgeons in the NHS is Professor Phil Drew in Cornwall. Under the nhs charter you have the right to be seen and treated by any doctor in the country who can treat your condition. Your GP then refers you directly to Professor Drew who has been busy explanting en bloc ladies with ruptures or grade 4 capsular contracture where the implants look about to burst or pip implants.

  13. I like this summary of breast implant risk. I can't believe it was known back in Feb 2017 and I am only now learning about it. The article highlights that patients getting breast augmentation need to be told about the rising risk of lymphoma (up to 1:1000 currently and still rising so less and less rare) as more and more ladies with implants explanted are being diagnosed. None of my plastic surgeons ever told me! https://www.forbes.com/sites/ritarubin/2017/03/22/fda-agrees-with-who-links-breast-implants-to-rare-cancer-how-worried-should-women-be/?fbclid=IwAR3C9COtyT_hRkEjaMVl-iPd8fDULjfJ2utkgO8Q3Hn2GYy1Syqdjncyag0#6d36a0346483

  14. Ladies remember silicone breast implants were banned until 2006 and now we are yet again seeing more problems with silicon implants. Maybe it is time to think small and natural are beautiful. Iconic Farrah Fawcett and supermodel Irina are small and natural.

A 56 yo lady who died from silicone implant rupture donated her body to research on silicon implants and bits of silicon were found in her brain!

Ladies with silicone implants report allergies, autoimmune disorders and have even passed on these illnesses in breastmilk! We are seeing more children with allergies than ever before.

  15. Please ladies do your research. Both motiva and inspira (allergan) are SILICONE implants. Please google breast implant illness and research the 55,900 ladies in a fb group on breast implant illness. They are all explanting within months to years of getting implants. Look at fat transfer by a clinic that specialises in transferring your own fat. Be safe.

  16. @Hautelady from what I have researched the greatest health risk may be silicone outside the capsule as when it travels in the body it may be nigh impossible for surgeons to find and remove. That is why manufacturers recommend mri every 2-3 years with implants to check for rupture.

There is a growing list of illnesses ladies with breast implants are reporting. Even saline implants have silicone casings!

  17. Really pleased for you @jsorchid! Your trip to korea was a success and you look great! Younger and refreshed. Good to finally see ASPS Dr Lee's FL work as he comes highly recommended. Do let us know how things are at the 1 year mark to check on longevity of his smas.

  18. I am happy for you @Denyagan for fixing your botched surgery. And it is only your personal opinion against surgery in Korea which is understandable based on your personal experience and outcome. @NadineP and @krod2017 too had botched experiences in Korea at April31 and TLPS respectively so may also share your opinion of Korea.

However when I asked my top Harley Street UK plastic surgeon about chin reduction surgery and rhino in 2016, he immediately suggested Korea as I am Asian. So in his opinion, Korea can be superior to the UK. I chose the UK surgeon to do the ops as I had no idea about Korea back in Feb 2016 until later.

A friend of mine shared he paid £7k for face fg in the UK only to learn the surgeon had flown to Korea to watch and learn how to do fat transfer. The friend had to get it redone properly with Dr Hong at Fresh in Korea and is now happy.

I had great surgeons in the uk and korea and noticed Korean surgeons suture like embroidery, very fine vs I know some uk surgeons rely on stapling to save on time and effort.

As I have never had surgery in the States I can't comment but would say that it is important to do your research thoroughly to pick a good surgeon regardless of country. During my years of surgical training in both the States and NHS, I have seen both good and bad surgeons in both countries so would not say one country is superior to another. We don't hear as much of botched surgeries in the States or NHS due to a culture of cover ups and secrecy. One US surgeon left a lady quadraplegic and another was still doing circumcisions with disabling Parkinson's tremors! One UK surgeon just pulled the sheets back over a lady with postop abdominal gangrene. As a wise woman once told me, doctors are not gods but humans and there are good people and bad people in every country.
