I am looking for some information on the specifics of a rib cartilage rhinoplasty operation. One that would extend the nose and make it appear more uniform.

I want to know the costs, surgery time, recovery time, etc. in averages for Korea clinics. I am doing a comparison of local clinics for a friend. Any help would be great!

Anywhere from $5,000 to just under $20,000 from my understanding. It really depends on the extend of the work needed done. As for recovery, you are looking at a minimum of a 2 week stay in Korea. I would plan for 3 or 4 weeks though if you need a more complex surgery.

Recovery time outside of post-surgery stuff will be 4 to 6 weeks for the resting period (no strenuous activities or exercise) and then 6 months to a year on average for full recovery. Some take a bit over a year.

I have seen operations done for as little as 3 grand but you have to be careful. If they are undercharging for a more complex surgery, it is a red flag.

I'd say recovery time in total is anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. That is for a full recovery. Mine took about 9 months. I spent 28 days in Korea.

I am not 100% but I believe this is the kind of surgery a friend of mine had and it took her 4 months to heal. She was told it had been fully healed at that point. Everyone is different though.

Can I ask what clinic you went to? You can DM me if you'd like. I am just a bit hesitant with some of them as I have read good things and really bad things for this type of surgery!

This is something I think is worth stressing. Some people recover really fast, some people take much longer. No two bodies handle surgery the same. I have seen some women take a very long time recovering for very simple operations.

I sent you a DM. I am not sure what the rules are for sharing clinics publicly and don't want to get into any trouble on the forum 😅

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask there or in here.

Thank you, This was SUPER helpful. I heard back from the clinic yesterday and will be doing a virtual consultation tomorrow. Fingers crossed this is the place for me 😄
