MooMooShia13 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I have been looking into dental and jaw options in Korea for corrective work. The EverM Dental Clinic comes up a lot so I thought I would ask about it here. I am not entirely sure if I am getting accurate information for it or not. Some things I read say it is a plastic surgery clinic while others say it is an OMFS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) clinic. I am looking for, what I am assuming for the work I want, and OMFS. 1 Quote
honeybear0023 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 I was going to look on their website but it is down for maintenance? That seems odd. I am not sure how you verify something like this. Quote
LupinBB81 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 It is an OMFS. The way you can tell this is based on what they offer. A big portion of their work is jaw correction. This includes things like fixing overbites via surgery. Standard plastic surgery is 100% cosmetic where these types of surgeries are both cosmetic and mechanical corrections. 1 Quote
cyndabeale Posted August 26 Posted August 26 I view clinics like this to be half and half. Like @LupinBB81 mentioned, they do corrective surgery so it isn't just about atheistic. Quote

The thing that makes it an OMFS is that they do functional surgeries too. It isn't like it is a one or the other thing. Some plastic surgery clinics have OMFS options, others do not. Does that make sense? Quote

This is accurate. It is confusing at first but you have to be familiar with the terms and procedures and once you are, it isn't so confusing. Quote
