KiWiP Posted yesterday at 01:50 PM Posted yesterday at 01:50 PM Be it from aging or just old wounds, pimples, etc. what options are there to correct this and what clinics are known for it in South Korea? I would imagine most people have scars or marks they don't like, especially as they get older. A lot of people end up with age spots. I have seen people in their 40s with them but I have also seen and met people well into their 60s and even 70s with minimal if any at all. I guess it depends on genetics and how much time you spend in the sun. I know too much sun damages and ages the skin, but we have known about this for decades. I do my best to not be in direct sunlight any longer than 30 minutes at a time. Anyways! As I said, I am looking for options to fix issues like this. I know they exist but I don't know what there is out there. Surgical or non-surgical. I would appreciate anyone with experience to let me know, especially if you had work for this done yourself. Even if it wasn't in South Korea. I would imagine most treatment options are the same everywhere for stuff like this since it is fairly common and something a lot of people complain about and want to fix. 1 Quote
smolcat22 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago This would fall under facial rejuvenation for most clinics. I have seen a number of them (such as POP Plastic) offer facial rejuvenation options. The most common approach for professional treatments include : Laser Therapy: Such as Q-Switch, Fraxel, or IPL, which target melanin directly. Chemical Peels: Using acids like glycolic, salicylic, or TCA to exfoliate surface pigment. Cryotherapy: Freezing spots with liquid nitrogen (common for age spots). Microdermabrasion/Dermabrasion: Physical exfoliation to remove the top skin layers. Quote
