Skin burn/scars correction clinic in Korea
smolcat22 replied to glowyyy's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I have heard good things from Design Plastic Surgery in Seomyeon. I can't say whether or not they are good based on my own experience however. I have not gotten scars or burns treated before nor do I know anyone that has. - Today

This is correct. You can even mention to the clinic that you have children. Some of them have places where kids can sit and wait with TV they can watch or games they can play. I have heard of clinics even bringing in special items for kids like gaming consoles when they know a parent is going to be in surgery for awhile.

Will I need medical history with me?
EveRose replied to alisaw's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
You should be able to go over all that and send it via e-mail before you even travel. Most clinics would prefer to have the information ahead of time anyways and not have to scan physical documents. -
Rib cartilage rhinoplasty information

Thank you, This was SUPER helpful. I heard back from the clinic yesterday and will be doing a virtual consultation tomorrow. Fingers crossed this is the place for me -
One thing I know about Korea is that they are very child-friendly. More than most countries. I would say you can go just about anywhere in Korea and not have to worry unlike in the US. Most issues you would face are for much younger children and seeing as your friend's kids are almost teens, She wouldn't worry too much about traveling with them.

Skin burn/scars correction clinic in Korea
Tulipsy71 replied to glowyyy's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I guess it really depends on what kind of treatment you are after. You have various options. Injections, laser, pressure therapy, scar revision, skin grafting, flap surgeries, microneedling, and cryotherapy. Which are you looking to get done? -
I like to look through them for everything, not just when I am looking to go to a clinic for some work. I check reviews before buying anything online, before eating anywhere new, etc. etc. The trouble is that a lot of them can be easily faked and often are. So I wouldn't hold reviews as a high standard when deciding. Contact the clinic and ask if you can see before and afters. See if they can show you an edited picture of what your surgery would look like.

How long should I plan my trip for?
beachybabe replied to alisaw's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
It is okay Most people don't go on forums daily. I know life can be busy offline. I am just glad you got help here. It can be hard to plan for plastic surgery locally much less in Korea. There is a lot of consider and plan for. -
Hi everyone. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for clinics that specifically treat people that have burns and scarring. I had an accident 4 years ago and have had work done but the rest is cosmetic and my insurance won't cover what remains to be fixed. Someone I talked to on Facebook told me to find a surgeon in Korea as it is cheaper and see what I can do about it. The scars from the burns are on the far side of my face, part of my ear, and down my neck. I would love to be able to make it look less noticeable. I have some on my shoulder too but I am not as concerned with that right now.

Will I need medical history with me?
alisaw replied to alisaw's topic in KOREAN PLASTIC SURGERY (NEW! ACTIVE FORUM)
I ended up looking into this a lot more and a lot of people just get basic information printed from their local doctor's office and bring it with them as well as fill out forms through the clinics. It seems it is standard for clinics to request medical history and if they don't ask for any information at all, it is a huge red flag! So be warned. I wanted to make sure I updated this thread for anyone else looking for information on this. -

The more I look into this, the more I think you are correct. Everyone and everything I read says to take extra time in case it is needed. Some people have mentioned not needing to stay as long and just changing their return flights at no cost. So that is an option. Sorry for the late response. I have been busy but I have still been looking into everything. This forum has been a huge help! -
I knew about the other ones but did not know about ADHD meds. I am going to have to make sure my friend knows. She is going next month and one of her kids is on Adderall. I would imagine she needs a permit or needs to get it there? Not sure. I will tell her to look into it more. Thanks for this info!!

A friend of mine decided on a clinic and booked an appointment, has everything set up to get her surgery in June. Trouble is, she intended on traveling alone but her husband will not be able to take time off work and they don't have family to watch their kids. I offered but I would only be available on weekends. She will be in Korea for 12 days. They are 10 and 12. Does anyone have any tips I can relay to her with experience in going to Korea with kids?
