  1. Because 현아 told me herself. Seriously DJJ, you ask us who told us this info presumably because you're suspicious of it's credibility (like it might just be a rumor we're carrying around). Now if someone told us who would be in a position to actually know, do you think they would appreciate us posting who they were on the internet?

  2. With this attitude I would give up on trying to get a 솔직한 answer on the internet from strangers. Either you know people personally that have gone to that doctor, otherwise what can we tell you? Some people claim the same about this forum (that it is just an advertisement for VIP). If you're going for a revision you already know that PS cannot live up to all expectations. Do people post before and after photos on Korean forums, the pro or neutral PS forums? It's pretty hard to concoct a story, have 100's of posts, show before and afters just for one person to say they had a good experience at such and such a place.

3-4 times more expensive than other places? I think revision surgeon's are like high powered defense attorneys. They extract a lot of money from desperate people and then sleep soundly at night because they helped them.

Also, is anyone not famous in Korea? Anytime I ask a friend to check on a surgeon, or a place(like a restaurant) they always tell me that it is famous in Korea. I'm just trying to figure out that if I've heard of it, it must be famous, or if everybody knows everybody over there.

  3. Yes, when I go in for my reverse cosmgirl I will consider the love band surgery.

Short nose?!? I still have a pretty large nose. Actually from my profile I think it's about the right size but because the distance from my upper lip to my nose is short, it looks longer.

I'm probably going back to Korea in a month or two but not for any (anticipated) plastic surgery. Dr. Kim said fat grafting under the eyes is $2000.

  4. You see all those forum headings on the left? Click on one of them. It will show a listing of the posts. Click on a post. It then asks you to login. Is it possible to get a login without a registration number?

  5. I think you get a lengthening effect just from raising your bridge. If you look at HHer's pics her nose looks longer. Since most of y'all are asian I guess that statement applies to you. Mine got shorter

  6. The book just says that silicone implants hardly ever infect. It didn't say anything about implants just in the radix area. They need to be removed in 10% of cases because of shifting or improper shape. The study referenced is:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9734450

Dr Jeffrey Ahn and Jeffrey Liu wrote this chapter.

They did say that getting a silicone injection is bad news if you have a complication because they may not be able to get it all out and it doesn't reabsorb.

Can you clarify with the doctor how far down the implant will come? Maybe if you have a situation like mine and you have a naturally high bridge he may shave down your hump completely (and lower your entire dorsum to get it straight) and then use the implant to rebuild your bridge since it won't need significant augmentation.

What is the website for cowell? I tried to search online but it just came back with hits for Simon Cowell and plastic surgery. Will try some hangul approximations, is it cowell starting with 코? Clever if they are a nose clinic.

    Is this your place? http://cozyclinic.co.kr/

  7. I already had mine done! I just put up my 1 month pic! Don't go to my doc, I guess lol!

I went to Dr. Park at Dream. I am not in Seoul, but I may be going back in Aug or Sept.

  8. Are you still considering fat grafts under your eyes? I like how my eye swelling looked after my rhino plasty. I looked waaaay younger. I think I will ask Dr. Kim how much he charges for this.

  9. One month post op (today)

    https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/1sICILhgmnEH6g

I'm satisfied so far. I wish nothing would really change now. I don't want my tip to drop anymore  It is still very hard and when I twitch (?) my mouth I can really tell. My hump I don't really care about any more, I didn't realize how much the tip projection and definition mattered.

Since my lipo probably made all my torso fat offline and I've been sitting around for a month, I now have J.Lo's ass.

  10. Seems like most people on this thread already know what they want to have done. Is it possible to tell by looking at someone what they've likely had done? I know of course it's not unless you've seen their before picture. I know makeup and contacts can make a big difference.

I was just wondering about the kpop star Soyeon how she gets her eyes so big. She's straddling the bug/anime border but she looks fine! In case you don't know what I'm talking about:

  11. Yeah bisousx, are the guys digging your pinky-finger-out sophistication?

According to Dr. Park at Dream, these are the reasons a hump can re-appear:

The causes are; 1. scarring at the humpectomy site, 2. new bone formation, 3. shrinkage of augmented tissue at the radix area.

Since you're female, you probably want your hump completely removed? I'm sure if they thought they could do that without an implant they would prefer to.

I still have a hump and I think I have tissue in my radix area (will find this out when I meet with a surgeon this week). I have a revision rhinoplasty "textbook" and I will see what they say about implants there and infection likelyhood there. Just need to find it

  12. Really you're surgeon would probably know more about it than any of us on here even if he sucks. I haven't heard of silicone being placed there to prevent bone formation, but those of us with humps removed it has been suggested to use silicone sheets or tape on top of the hump after surgery to prevent scar tissue/new bone from forming and the hump coming back.

His suggestion to place something inside your nose to remove a hump is one way of making a hump disappear. From what I can tell it depends on why your bone structure is causing a hump. For a couple of us this was cartilage.

I'm attaching my x-ray profile and you can see that if the surgeon just shaves down the hump to line up with the straight bone, I'd probably get another hump around the yellow circle. He can also make the whole thing straight by bringing the entire bridge down (not good). Or he can add something to the red region which will make the hump appear to not be there even though it is and keep your bridge height.

Are you a guy or a girl?

  13. I've never been to ULTA but olive and young seems like a more casual, young person makeup and health store. To see what they have online:

    http://www.oliveyoungshop.com/

There is one on Garosugil street, the first cross-street if you are coming from the officetel. If they don't have what you're looking for try the hyundai dept store.

Drug stores will have the symbol "약" and they are everywhere. I now know why so many people in pharmacy school are from Korea.

  14. Thinking about what? That you might delay your trip, or that you might not have the surgery? 10% seems like nothing to me if you're already serious about having the surgery. If it's no big deal for you to wait, then maybe you want to see how things shake out and see if clinics adjust their prices in this period after the tax, to see if they are eating the tax themselves or passing it on to the customer. PS seems like a high margin industry (more so if you're planning on going to VIP) so there's a chance that a lot of places will just eat the tax.

  15. Just something I read that suggests the depressor septi muscle is involved in raising the upper lip:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16151663

Those surgeons that you linked to may be right, Kain, but some of their explanations were kinda weird. Like the guy who said it doesn't matter because it's cut near the tip? Don't muscles operate under tension? I think that's right. So if you cut it anywhere it will effect the areas it pulls on during contraction.

Anyway, I also got mine cut during my rhinoplasty (you can see the bruise on my columella in the video I posted). My smile is back to normal or at least I can't tell any difference and my tip doesn't move when I smile. It's just the way I like it.

  16. So in explaining my "Kain looks like a badass" comment, was I totally offbase having this image come to mind?

    https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/1sUEYc5VgSD3E3

  17. Hey Kain,

Does your swelling vary day to day? Sometimes up, sometimes down? Do you have any control (I should say ability to make it worse) over it?

You look like a bad ass without being intimidating which is I guess what us guys want for our surgeries. If I told the doc what was really in my subconcious mind I would have ended up with HyoMin's nose

You shouldn't have told us about the g'ma lips. I can notice something's up with them but I don't know if I would have noticed if you hadn't told us. Are you going to use that last pic for your passport?

  18. I did a google search for seocho-gu to apgujeong-dong and it said around 3.5 miles. Bus takes 12 minutes but I don't know where in seocho that place is. It might take you 15-20 minutes just to get to the bus stop there.

Edit: Wow, $105/wk. If you stay there let us know how it goes.

  19. This is what I had it mind. Seocho is not what I would call walking distance but for $125 a week you have a lot of money to spend on taxis, etc.

The place close to VIP is

    http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/104081

I would not recommend this place now since my contacts in Seoul have said that although the rain stopped (they just finished having 1 month of near constant rain) it is very very hot right now and this room has no AC
