I meant eyebrow hair thickness, texture, distance relationship to your orbit. I got my nose done at Dream medical group. They are well known with locals. I am satisfied with it even though I had a more dramatic change in mind before my surgery. I'm happy to have what I have and believe I look better than I did before.
If the features of your face do not harmonize well, or if they look perfect in isolation, some people will think you've had plastic surgery. You can have "perfect" nose, eyes, etc but if they don't match your look will not be good. Before I had my nose done I imagined a smaller nose with a perfectly straight bridge. That nose however is probably not the best one that fits my face. I was lucky that my surgeon made changes that worked well with my face overall.
You can't change all the bone structure in your head, you can't change all your skin and hair characteristics (how are you going to get natural looking ivanka trump eyebrows?). This will prevent you from naturally looking caucasian. You can change many things that as a side effect will likely make you look MORE caucasian.
I think what me and rawdude are saying is that this appears to be really hard to pull off correctly. Why not be a really hot chinese looking person? Tons of confident hot looking chinese looking people around. That would probably help your self confidence. I'm a big fan of the mandible reduction surgery BTW, results I've seen from that surgery look amazing.
I will say, that Grand plastic surgery and one other place (which I will look up on street view because I can't remember the name) had THE HOTTEST most done looking receptionist chicks of all the clinics I walked into in the apgujung area. Their interiors were also very fancy. This doesn't mean that they are exceptionally reputable, but they are definitely selling the prospect of major transformations.
Sorry I don't have experience with a clinic that does dramatic transformations. Just logically speaking, don't you think having a lot of surgeries in a transformational attempt to look more caucasian will make you have a "done" look? This is not a good look in the US IMO. Where do you live? I just ask because I'm from the SF Bay Area and a good portion of the population must be similar as you (asian ethnicity with no connection to asia). They are pretty much treated and commonly run in the same circles as white people. They ARE white. I can understand wanting to change what you have to look more attractive, but in the US I just don't get the connection between an ethnic look and being feeling caucasian. I'm 1/2 hispanic but have only the slightest connection to anything hispanic. I consider myself white. It just seems like it is so much more about class status and attitude, at least in the places I've lived. Just curious, and good luck with whatever you choose.
My co-worker compared surgeon's to banana's. Don't want to get one too young or too old. Figure that he's been doing this for 10 years. I don't think that's too young, although he does seem to cover a lot of procedures so you might want to find out what he really performs on a regular basis. From his Facebook page I would guess it's eyes.
Yeah, I think it looks bigger in real life too. I think it's because there is more definition on my tip now that there is a more obvious break between tip and bridge kinda like a disney animated character. Obviously where Dr Park draws inspiration:
Bump is still there, but he softened it and made my tip project out more and did a whole bunch more other complicated stuff that makes it come out looking like nothing was done.
Seriously, What the hell am I doing. Doing it this way so I can take them down anytime I want. Dr Park at Dream, 7 days post op. Got my splint off in LA today (so pics are from today) before's are from Dream milliseconds before surgery. Endonasal technique that Dr. Park likes. I drove 800 miles today thinking constantly about my nose. Looking at my before's again I'm really starting to like my new nose and it's naturalness. I think Dreams style is understated, they make you better looking but still recognizable as you. I see this throughout their operation. Their building is not like a 5 star hotel like Grand is. Receptionists are not particularly hot
Well I got my cast off. Not sure what to say. I'm not in love with my nose. Dream sent me my before photos and they are hideous. This nose IS way better than that. My main concern is that I still have a hump. I was a bit concerned about it before the surgery because I could see from my ct scan that my hump is mainly cartilage and to bring it down to have a straight transition with my nasal bones would mean losing bridge height. Maybe it actually looks better this way and the nose I imagine is not possible without implant. I do really really like the symetry, proportions look good. Tip looks good. Maybe it is just swelling. Its not like he didn't do anything to the hump...my bones feel a little loose. I will take pictures today but only post at 2 weeks since noone claimed that it was supposed to even look normal at 1 weeek.
Because I had to jump on my first class tickets before I had a confirmed surgery date. It then turned out that dr park was vacationing in the US for the first part of my trip, so I had to return only 4 days post op.
Are you going to be around tomorrow? I know OC is kinda far from downtown LA but it'd be cool to get a possitive or neutral reaction from someone who's seen me before. Not sure if it'd be an extra 60 miles of driving cool, but maybe...
Wow, sorry to hear that Was it done in a mocking or "why did you go and do that tone"? If not, some people just don't understand how they come across. In fact I'm often guilty of it myself.
Well, I haven't left the house since coming back to the US. I didn't imagine I'd be this sensitive about going outside with my cast on. I'm driving to LA tonight under the cover of darkness
As Dream quoted me a price of 6 million won for rib, it might be helpful to others to (re)post how much you paid knowing that VIP appears to be on th expensive side.
Hey, generally speaking if you don't want to tell us exactly, what industry do you work in? Do you think your looks make a difference in your job or in your boss' offer? Considering the super ugly people that work in my industry I suspect it shouldn't make a difference for me, but maybe the change in confidence will help in my career. Interested to find out.
sliced pinapple on the right, whole pinapple on the left. Also the store on the left is MUCH better than the ubiquitous family mart/7-11's that you'll find everywhere
Hey bisousx, my impression at the time I saw you was that you looked mixed, but not asian/caucasian. Still you looked good, but I was curious what you think of your ethnic/non ethnic look? That's interesting that your nose is changing quickly this far out from surgery, I wonder if I'll have slower changes. My nose is still under wraps, but aside from swelling changes in the surrounding areas I can't notice any change yet.
One thing I did notice was that my swelling hasn't constantly gone down. It goes down and then comes up and goes down again. A lot of factors go into this (if we hadn't had sugery we might just call it bloating from the type of fods we eat). I downed s muc pineapple juice and pinapple meat afterwards I wanted nothing to do with pinapple. I also walked 6 hrs on a treadmill 2 days post op which I think helped. Then I went on my flight and took off my compression garments and blew up again. Btw when I have a chance I will show you guys on a map where I found slice pinapple for 3k won. It is across the street from the place that sells whole pinapples (like how we buy it in the US)
Wow. Obviously I saw you after surgery b ut now that I see those before pics I think you're getting a great result. Do I want to ask...how many pics have you taken since surgery?
For the future people who scroll through these pages wondering about payment...
The kb bank across the street from vip lets you pull out 1 million won per transaction (around $930 usd at today's rate) my bank let me increase my widthdrawl limit to $2000 per day. So it took me a couple of day to pull out the 7 million won I needed. Once I had the 7 million won and paid the receptionist she said come back tomorrow because they are out of.printer paper for a receipt. Apparently my face is able to express without words "uhhh I just gave you 7 million won and I'm not leaving here untill you give me something that says so" at which point she gave me a paper receipt with some unique stamp.
